    Remember this when it first aired. I recorded it on a VHS tape and played it for the bass player in our garage band. I wanted us to be the new Wilco. Crazy the thoughts you had in your youth.

    Jay Bennett was to Wilco as Chris Bell was to Big Star as Gram Parsons was to The Byrds. I imagine each of these guys in the afterlife...maybe wondering about the music...and why it all had to end so soon.

    Same here. For me, YHF is to AGIB what Rubber Soul is to Revolver. YHF and Rubber Soul are the albums that find their creators starting to break out of the mold that they'd been in for the beginning of their careers, and AGIB and Revolver were the albums where they were like, "Okay, let's see what happens when we take this a little farther."
    Oh, that and both pairs of albums go back and forth as my favourite album from each band.

    They are totally different bands now.
    They have always been good live. They are alot tighter now as there is more emph on musicianship.
    I miss the old Wilco with Jay and Ken.

    no doubt-
    i prefer the 90`s WILCO!!
    i saw them live many times & they ROCKED in the 90ies...
    still a fine band today, BUT, maybe more a songwriting/studio- band?!

    Jeff Tweedy & the late Jay Bennett of alternative rock band Wilco spoke with us in the early 2000's about their creative process, the story behind their start, and how they keep their sanity on tour! Check the interview here! ruclips.net/video/fmnIOt5PmZI/видео.html

    dude - have you seen them live since 1999? They are an unreal live band now. They were great then, but they are in another stratosphere now. Nels, Glen, and Pat are a huge addition to Tweedy and Stirrat. I have never heard a better live band....ever. I have heard them pre and post Jeff and there is no comparison.

    I'm watching this over and over to try to find out why Ken keeps switching his lead hand. He's just over complicating a not complicated song. Oh well, still sounds great.

    Still my favorite Wilco album, though I know I'm in the minority on that. I just never got the later stuff (after Summerteeth). It just got to far from "rock" for me.

  • @kickingtelevision
    @kickingtelevision 16 лет назад

    This is one of the reasons Glenn Kotche is a better drummer
