Distance fishing please rob wud love to see how far off your baited spot we are at 140+ yards with a good cross wind. and just to see if your fishing amongst are bait even in a no wind situation keep the films coming great watch but distance fishing is a must get the Bart man on it.
Outstanding video. Info money can't buy. Technical vids seem to have disappeared into the depths , definitely would love to see more like this. Did you have any opinion on white? Can't help but wonder of the effects of contrast of baits , understandable you can't fit it all in one segment. Great Job Rob and Fox as always. Many thanks.
I turned up to a venue where he was fishing, he was really up his own arse, never spoke when said hi too. Seems a loverly bloke on here but in really life he is a tit mate....
Excellent video a real eye opener to how different coloured baits look in different depths and water conditions. Really enjoyed watching that. Thanks Rob 👍
Great video. If you can find a lake that has weed, silt, gravel and sand (maybe even clay as well) and see which bait, colour, size and shape works best on all of them, that would be amazing. Thanks Rob
very very good video that will make my fishing a lot more easier with the temperature of the water and other bits i fish with zigs a lot thanks for the info thumbs up
Best way to approach a weedy venue where the carp are quick to move on any angling pressure and like to sit in the upper layers in the warmer months? Being a boilie and pellet only venue zigs are out of the question.
I think sometimes surface feeding fish miss because they're simply moving a lot of water and unless they time the opening of the mouth to perfection the floater is always prone to going away from or around them. It's kind of like if you try to grab a floating bubble when you're in the bath, every move you make with your submerged hand pushes water ahead of it and the bubble always seems out of reach. I suspect that a floater with a hook and line attached would behave differently in this regard because of the extra mass (less susceptible to being acted on by outside forces) and completely different centre of gravity (the hook acts like a keel and the line would act kind of like a rudder), perhaps sometimes the fish are expecting it to react more than it does and this can cause them to miss or abort the take.
Ok Rob so if 1ft here or there makes the difference with colours depending on the time of day what zig aligner colour would you recommend as a baseline so you could switch the foam colour without having to change the whole rig over or is it just a preference for you to use single colours? I would have thought a black aligner and switching colours of foam for the best contrast would be a winner, have you not tested multi coloured arrangements?
Rod Duster you are right in a having a Black Zig Aligna as a good base. The piece of foam is the bigger brighter item so a Black Aligna would be perfect and change the foam to suit.
A couple of questions, 1/. why would hook size matter on a floater bait, if the carp can see the hook and recognise it as something to avoid then why would they take a zig where it is on show from all angles? 2/. when choosing bait colour and visibility in the water should we be thinking about how they appear through human eyes? The red end of the colour spectrum in light gets filtered out in water the deeper you go through it, so it would make sense that fish that live and spend a lot of time in deeper water would evolve eyes that dont make use of the red colour spectrum and find those harder to see than us, so maybe a yellow bait which is more mid range in the light colour spectrum would be easier for a carp to see than the red in that thick algae. Anyone owning an aquarium can shine a red light at night into their tank and not disturb the fish as they dont see it! also maybe carp have polarised vision and surface reflection isn't a problem for them. I like these videos but I think the tests need a more scientific approach and should be teamed up more with people who have a fish biology background as well as an anglers point of view that could be biased by the days on the banks pondering why we missed that bite.
The only thing I dislike about fox is they don't reply to comments. Nothing against them. But maybe run thru- mathew collins channel. He replies quite consistently
I think these vids raise questions , not answer them . as we get more info the answers will come . it is arrogant to present what were seeing as definitive answers .

Long range casting, 130+ yrds. Spombing at this range, line bow in cross winds. How deep do leads plug in different lake beds.
this guy is so easy to understand, nailed some problems I've had recently.

Great insight which has made me re look at my hook arrangement for floater fishing 👍🏼. Can't wait for the next one
Love it Rob helping me out so so much keep them coming. 👍🏻
Excellent video from Rob H. & co. Very interesting, very informative and very thought-provoking
Love this video. Would love to do a days fishing with rob. Would pick his brains all day. Very good work my man

Rob! What the video! Really informative! Thanks from Hungary :)
Great job Rob and crew!!! Keep them coming! Maybe a new video about line lay, bite indication and diferent coloured mainline underwater!
Brilliant Rob, great observations I will rethink my zig fishing and the floater footage is amazing. Thank you.
Excellent video Rob,please can you explain what types of liquids you was talking about, and what kind,as I’m still a beginner to carp fishing.
Excellent video a real eye opener to how different coloured baits look in different depths and water conditions. Really enjoyed watching that. Thanks Rob 👍
This is a brilliant series packed with solid info, thanks very much!
nice! Thank you for those great pictures and ...answers...under...water!
Great video. If you can find a lake that has weed, silt, gravel and sand (maybe even clay as well) and see which bait, colour, size and shape works best on all of them, that would be amazing. Thanks Rob
Class video. Any chance u could do a video looking at slow moving rivers. And carp/barbel fishing on them.
Great video, love the thought process and science behind it, suits my style of thinking and fishing, attention to detail 👍🏻
good stuff, I've never really paid much attention to colour but I think I will after watching this, thanks rob & crew👍
very very good video that will make my fishing a lot more easier with the temperature of the water and other bits i fish with zigs a lot thanks for the info thumbs up
thanks you answered loads of different questions ive been trying to answer
Cracking video again rob love watching your vids so informative.
Good watch. Would a bigger hook Bait and big hook still do the same job as a small hook and Bait. Basically match the size of your Bait to the hook
Great video boys, my syndicate is dyed, bluey black, what colour would you thinks best on a zig

Love the video. Very good information that I can put to use. Thanks
Many fisheries add blue die to reduce weed growth in summer. What effect do you think this has on colour of zigs?
Great watch as always.
Cheers guys, nice one 👍
Very interesting stuff. Thanks. Question: will you be doing a vid on your new adjustable zig float?

Outstanding info brilliant big thanks
How, or should I say can one use a float rig in the river?
Interesting watching.
Spot on 👍
Has Fox been sold.
The word is that they bin took over by some1 that is discontinuing alot of the stuff. Money problems so needed to get some1 with money.
Would of been gd to see black boilies but great vid as always rob
Great video.
Awesome vid keep it up
Good !
love it thx you
Bait application
what does bread on the surface look like ?
Would it be stupid to say that a carps eyesight underwater is probably a lot better than ours, even in these sort of situations?
defo not and when people say they cant see different colours etc its bullshit
What about white pop ups
The zig aligner is bent the wrong way 🤔
more mr Mark P please
try a black hookbait
no one makes a black boiled hookbait
Once you go black... 😅

Can fish even see colours? Lol
