Speaking with JW and LDS visitors to my home is how I grew my confidence in classic Christianity. Each time I looked deeper at the challenges I ran across, careful reading of Scripture refuted their points, and Christianity won time and time again. This is also the reason I'm so passionate about apologetics. ❤
Yes! We desperately need ro be teaching apologetics to our young people. I’ve read that when our Christian kids get to college , the Woke anti Christian professors take great pride and even brag about how they love destroying the faith of Christian kids, and harassing them . We need to teach everyone apologetics but it’s especially important for our kids . There are so many people in America who hate God, Muslims, LGBT , Hindu , Jews, who need to hear the gospel and accept Yashua’s gift of salvation. And we need to be able to answer all their questions and debunk all the lies they believe. And they usually have the same lies, the same questions, the same mistakes.
Same for me - I hate to say it but a couple of times I was out gunned and didn’t know where to show them the truth but after the encounter, I read and read so in the future I was better prepared. I read the Bible to know God and for my heart/mind to be transformed but also to be prepared with a response for all who ask.

When I want to give up or when I’m ashamed because of my situation our Lord Jesus has comforted me. As a single mother with two children with special needs it can be overwhelming especially because I constantly struggle making ends meet. As I struggle to buy groceries each and every month and as I struggle to pay rent you have never left my side. Thank you Lord please continue to give me strength.
I can sympathize! While not a single mom, we have struggled with paying bills and affording rent. It's been a long journey of almost 6yrs. But it's wonderful how much it changes your perspective on your situation, when Jesus is feeling close to you. He promised to be a husband and father to those without one. Father I ask that you show up for her and wrap your arms around her. Father please send encouragers and helpers to her aid. In Jesus name amen.
You know, I too was for a long, long time struggling to make due, and always dreaming that one day; I would not have to do so. Then one day I looked around, at what I had, and even though it wasn't much, I decided that I was in the best position, I'd ever been in, in my whole 70 years. And so while; I was no richer than I had been seconds before, I found gratitude for those little blessings. And that changed my life... in more ways than one. Now, almost embarrassingly, the blessings don't stop coming. Yes, I might have only a penny or two more in my pocket, then maybe not. I still live in the same small place. But, I feel _(almost)_ rich. I feel more peace, than I have for many, many decades. My suggestion to you is; 1) Get yourself an empty diary. 2) Every day, write down at least one blessing you have received, no matter how small. 3) Then when times seem too heavy, read from that diary, your own words. Let them lift you up.
I'm not sure if it's possible, but I suggest leaning on your local church and church family. God provides through His people.. I know I've experienced this a lot
I was raised one, born in 1978 and left in 2010 without knowing I had been indoctrinated. Woke up to that by 2012. Went into New Age and became a "psychic medium", tarot card reader and eventually a professional astrologer. I was saved in 2020 but allowed myself to go back to all of those former ways, due to my own Christian immaturity and pressure from others. I knew it was wrong - but getting along with those I was closest to was of more importance to me. It was wrong and I allowed myself to become desensitized to what I had done. I eventually got myself straight after the Holy Spirit worked on me and wouldn't allow me to (literally) get any sleep. I attended a Christian church for the first time in my life this past Resurrection Sunday. It was a-ma-zing! So much true love from the Holy Spirit was there and I'll be officially joining this church and plan to be baptized as soon as possible.
1st point..Revelation 21:23 a lamp is a vessel that contains the light.. I bet If I watch the next clip you're going to make the connection that jesus and God are the same person... But can't you see the lamp is the vessel which the light is contained in, Therefore although Jehovah is the light, in this case, jesus is the containment for the light of this spiritual city.. And also don't forget that this is all symbolic according to revelation 1:1.. So this does not prove that Jesus is Jehovah... so according to Doctor James white who is a prominent Baptist, you cannot confuse the whose with the Whats, who they are is not what they are, the son cannot be the father and the Bible described as Jehovah as the father, not the son at Isaiah 63:16.. So your conclusion is completely wrong.

If you read the prophecies of Jesus in Micah 5:4, Isaiah chapters 11,42,52,53,61, Psalm 2, 16, 22, 110, Jesus was, is and always will be the heavenly firstborn, servant, king and high priest of the Most High Father, the Living and True God Almighty JEHOVAH, for all eternity. John 17:3 This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
My 60 year old born deaf/legally blind sister became a JW 10 years ago. Broke my mother’s heart. She tried her best to tell her their error in beliefs. My sister agreed on the deity of Christ…JW’s are some of the nicest people but they believe works save them. My sisters childhood deaf/blind friend is JW and influenced my sister. They are very good to my sister who lives independently. I pray her testimony will open the eyes of her precious friends. Since my mother’s passing in 2017 she has apparently become a devout follower of JW’s. I pray God has mercy on her soul!!
An interesting thing about Scripture is; how astronomically intertwined it is. Every so often; someone comes along, and thinks they can rewrite parts of it, to aid their agenda. It never works out. Those rewrites, stick out like a sore thumb. And yet, they try, over and over.

I got invited (via impersonal, but handwritten letter) to something similar. I would've attended, except my brother just passed away, and my soon-to-be-(at least I hope) fiancé is ex jw and I don't want to stumble him. He's a Christian, but confused and bitter about much.

So under what covenant are they under, the watchtower societies covenant, since they are under their agreement??? It takes the work of The Holy Spirit to remove the veil from their eyes and heart. It has been revealed to us so it is clear as day when we read the scriptures you illustrated but for the JW it is difficult to see in plain sight. The indoctrination is real but there is nothing impossible for our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ 🙏
I know you get thousands of comments; but I wanted to take the time to thank you for being bold and stepping out like you have. Listening to your podcasts, watching and learning more about Christ, diving into His word, gave me the boost I needed to attend a Kingdom Hall meeting and a LDS Temple opening. And I’m not stopping. 😊 I have a heart to reach the “untouchables”, and God has given me a heart to love them when others slam doors in their faces. From one sister in Christ to another, God bless. I was actually raised Jehovahs Witness, and was one for the first 20 years of my life. I have recently joined a Christian church with my husband and it has been quite a journey to deconstruct everything I was ever taught growing up and to actually look at the scriptures and what they say. The trinity has obviously been quite a big part of my journey and for the first 6 months at the new church, I was very hesitant and honestly a little scared to even entertain the idea of it…….but here I am, a year into my new spiritual journey and I can honestly say that I believe in Jesus as God. It’s still a struggle daily, and sometimes those old JW beliefs seep into my mind and send me into a spiral, but prayer and study has really helped to build my new foundation with Jesus. Thank you so much for your videos! I always enjoy watching them, even if it is somewhat difficult to see those old teachings. Keep up the good work, sister! ❤

Melissa, I want to thank you for all of your videos. I’m so encouraged. I’ve been having 3 JWs over weekly for a “Bible study” and I’ve been playing the student. As a stay-at-home mom I don’t get many opportunities to witness, and the Lord just dropped these lovely women on my front porch and gave me a genuine love and burden for them. (in 2s of course). At first I was nervous but godly friends have encouraged me. And you, my friend, have been such a gift. I completely relate to your love of studying and taking deep dives into topics. I joke that the Lord has special plans for my OCD, and one example is binge watching your videos and compiling notes. It’s also amazing to see how the Holy Spirit has led me to say and do many things that you encourage. And just when I was about to impatiently mess it all up, I found your videos and course-corrected. It’s hard to find Christians who even give JWs a second thought. So again, thank you!

Some JWs came by 3 weeks ago handing out invitations to their black mass. I called them in to try to have a witnessing dialog. We chatted for about 20 minutes, but they had to leave. We got together 2 more times- had 4 hour long conversations. I used the approach of asking questions so that they felt superior, used their Bible to make points, tried so hard to encourage critical thinking. Before I could even get to passages about Jesus to prove he is God, we were on the topic of the Holy Spirit. I was using their Bible to prove the Spirits divinity. After only 4 out of 20 verses, the 'lead' witness pickup up. She was an elders wife and carried the stereotypical toxic bully behaviors that go with it. If I wasn't going to be taught by her like an ignorant empty headed sheep, then she had no interest in continuing the conversation. I think I could have gotten through to the other lady if she was alone. I feel like I failed God. :(
The Lord is sovereign in all things. It is not your job to save souls - it's your job to plant seeds. You did your job. Well done. Rejoice in the fact that God gave you the opportunity.

Thank you sooo very much for putting this video together for us Lissa❤. These are most definitely some powerful seeds to plant into JW's when witnessing Jesus to them. Witnessing to them requires a lot of learning, research and patience because they are very reluctant people😅. However it is the Holy Spirit's job to do the converting and not us. I have to say, Vada has such a contagious energy and I'm sure you had such a blast making that video with him.
My father was a JW for a brief period of time. He teaches about how we can witness to JWs at youth conferences. And yes, you need to use materials that they trust, like their Bible.
We need to remember that Jehovah witness is a label, a box they have created for themselves. At the end of the day, they are people created in the image of Yahweh who need to be loved and not mocked!! Instead of playing "I've got it all down theological ping pong" pray for them to be saved Instead. 😢
It has been 20 years that I stepped at any other church after JW’s and let me tell you now that I see a lot of Christian videos they are always talking bad about other churches or religions. I wish they would guide us the right direction of what church to go? Where to gather, what to do, instead of always criticizing all these preachers, churches, etc. etc. so sad. I’ve also attended some Christian churches and OMG very different beliefs from one another. It’s just crazy out there in this world when it comes to religion.😔

Fine line: Using their words to invalidate their words, while affirming the authority of what it says. Be very careful as this can give worth or value in return to their presuppositions.
I have a ministry every Saturday that we go out literally to go look for a Jehovah’s Witnesses to lovingly dialogue with them. Your videos have been so helpful. Thank you so much for all your hard work. Do you have any videos of you literally dialoguing with Jehovah’s Witnesses out in the street?
I wanted to add Genesis 1 regarding Revelation and the light - since the two combined makes for some of my absolute favorites regarding "the secrets" of the Gospel of Jesus: notice in Genesis, that even before God made the firmament to separate the waters below from the waters above it, he separated the light from the darkness! This is before He creates the sun and the moon on day four, which means that there was light even before this. Enter, revelations 21: JESUS is literally the light of the world "..and it's light is the lamb"! This is so amazing! And just for kicks, let's just add into this context (not necessarily in regards to JW, but still...) that it talks about the sun and the moon in both these books, meaning from the first to the last book in the Bible, as two separate lights, created by God and placed in the firmament. This means that what we're being taught about the heliocentric model is wrong, since they teach us that the sun is the center we are revolving around and that the moon reflects the suns light. This is "...presented as knowledge without being so" from 2 Tim 6 - it does not align with the Word of God, and is not even what we can see and feel. The sun and the moon have different lights; warm vs cold, and the Hebrew talks about "the greater and the lesser light" in regards to its glow, not it's size... Also Joshua 10 proclaims that the sun and the moon stood still, and Hezekiah talks about the sun moving ten steps backwards (2 Kings 20). So - if you're not up to speed on this subject, I most friendly and with all love suggest some studying - it's AMAZING!!! ("Wireless - Revolving around The Son or the sun", if anyone is interested in studying further) God Bless you!
Thank you for equipping Christians, Melissa! Nothing makes me sadder than when Christians run Jehovah's Witnesses off their porch and won't even share the Gospel with them. I was a Jehovah's Witness for about 34 years and probably knocked on thousands of doors. I never once remember anyone trying to share the gospel with me. It has to stop! 😢 God has placed this person on your doorstep! You have a COMMAND to share Christ with them in a kind way. We need to be a prepared people!
It just occurred to me that the reason God describes Himself in so many ways may, in part, be so that it is nearly impossible to cover up His true identity. The JW's have tried, but when you approach it as this young man does, you can't deny the Trinity. Its amazing.
Hey SisMeliss, Here's another one for you from their NWT. .Isaiah 40:3 and Matt. 3:3. John the baptist a voice in the wilderness saying prepare you the way of Jehovah. Of course the fulfillment of that was Jesus. So apparently Jesus is Jehovah!
@@moseslivingstone1258 Jesus is The LORD. (YHWH) Isaiah 43:3 says that The LORD is the Holy One. Mark 1:28 says that the Holy One is Jesus. Therefore the LORD (YHWH) is Jesus.

One of my friends is a JW and when I try to show him what The Urantia Book says on different topics, he tells me I am being deceived and to disregard that evil book. He has yet to describe to me HOW he determines that the UB is an evil book. I keep in touch with him from time to time anyway. There is always hope for me and him.
I did something similar a few years back with a coworker JW. We met outside of work and I showed him with New World Translation that Jesus is God… Isaiah 9:6, Thomas calling Jesus God, Yahweh referring to Himself as the “Alpha and Omega” in the Old Testament and Jesus referring to Himself with the same title in Revelation. The JW even read the verses himself and even said that the “Mighty God” an “Everlasting Father” in Is. 9:6 was referring to Jesus. In the end, he said he didn’t believe it because he wouldn’t believe in the Trinity. No one understands the constitution of the Godhead completely, but I think my JW friend was just choosing intentional unbelief despite plain fact from even the corrupt translation he uses.
The Lord knows who belongs to Him. That's such a comfort. Looking at salvation doctrine's requirement to believe Jesus was raised from the dead on the third day *in accordance with the Scriptures* seems to, at least technically (but this *is* salvation doctrine), disqualify anyone who disbelieves that Jesus was raised in a physical human body with flesh and blood and bone. The JWs will often say they believe the Resurrection, but there's this strange caveat when you pin them down on it. The Lord knows who belongs to Him. Maybe even some Catholics are saved regardless of their denial that Jesus' actual death contains sufficient grace for salvation but their play-act about it fills up what was lacking.. . The Lord knows, and we can only try to understand. This is my best understanding, for what it's worth, dear Christian. The big point? JWs, RCs, Ps... we ALL have to believe and confess Master Jesus in accordance with the Scriptures to be saved, but if we do, then that's all that's required (at least, , according to the Scriptures, so far as I can tell). According to 1 Cor 15:1-3a and Rom 10:14a, believe the 4 things listed in 1 Cor 15:3b-8 and do the 1 thing emphasized 3 times in Rom 10:9-13 to be saved. What other scriptures as explicitly as these passages add, remove, or change any part of it? Tell me if you find one, please. By the way, Hebrews 1:8 has God *explicitly* calling Jesus "God". The JWs translation reverses the subject and object to obscure that fact, but if you make them read it in KJV real slow... Verse 6 has God telling the angels to worship Jesus.

Like your Videos. I tried this with my 2 videos ("The Jehovah's Witnesses: Are They The ONE True Church." And, "The Jehovah's Witnesses: Some Timely Truth!" They are much TOO "involved" (and offensive), for most JWs. If the purpose is to COMMUNICATE with JWs (which it is), you get an A+.
This is fantastic material I would love to hear some strategies at some point regarding how to engage JWs in conversation. They don't come to my house anymore (I think we"ve been blacklisted). But there is a JW in my workplace, he's actually an elder in the local Kingdom Hall, but because he knows I am a practicing born again believer, he keeps me at arms length. He avoids any conversations with me that are not work related or superficial chit chat. He won't even eat lunch in the same room as me. How would I move this relationship to the point where he would be comfortable engaging in real conversation?
Pray beforehand, during and after. Maybe tell him you wanna learn about JW? Tell him since the new announcement, women can wear pants now and shunning family isn't a necessity anymore and that sparked an interest in the faith for you. Then use the Socratic method to constantly ask them questions (it makes them feel superior, like they're saving you" and hopefully little by little, the logic and reasoning will crumble. All we can do is plant the seed. Let the HS do the rest :)

I’m still baffled by the Mormon and JW communities. It literally sounds like their resources were just the Holy Bible but they changed the narrative to fit their own beliefs when it all CLEARLY SHOWS the Trinity is of the scriptures. I pray for them to see the light, and yeah I agree, they are all very good people, and I grew up with friends who lived in those communities, but I really hope they get a chance to see the real goodness of God’s truth one day.

Hi Melissa, love your channel. I think this is a great strategy for convincing others that JW doctrine is wrong, even from their own translation. In your experience, how effective is this approach in dealing with JWs themselves? Is a direct attack on their rejection of the Trinity very effective? Or is it better to address the bondage that they're in in a legalistic and manipulative system, and leave the theology to a later stage in the relationship?
Most will still combat this truth though. I have 2 JW friends, very nice cpl. I used the verse from John when Thomas seen Jesus after he died and seen his scars and said, "My Lord and my God". And his response was, "Yea, but he didn't say, God Almighty"." But if they only believe in 1 God that would make Jesus a liar allowing Thomas to say that.

Idk if it’s intellectually dishonesty or what but if you use that as your evidence of Jesus being Jehovah God, then you must also agree that New Jerusalem in verse 10 and 11 is also God since Jerusalem also has the “Glory of God”. See Jehovah said at least 100xs in Isaiah that he is One and the True God explicitly. The fact that Jesus never directly quoted that statement but over and over claimed to be the SON OF God and His REPRESENTATIVE several times in John, makes it abundantly clear Jesus, like David will be the King of Israel but also like David, NOT God. What does Rev. 1:1 say? A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God GAVE HIM. It’s literally that simple. The Idea of LOVE itself cannot exist if the Son and The Father are not separate beings. Hence Jehovah would’ve just asked Abraham to sacrifice himself. Not to mention a “Father” implies creation because if you like me are born in God’s image then it would be our Fathers who “created” us and we see just that in scripture, Paul said in Colosssians 1:15, “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation…”
I had an interaction with a JW the other day, I basically said "Yeah no youre un a cult, and the thing about people in a cult is they usually dont know they are in a cult" You know just laying it out, I knew it wouldnt do anything but the response surprised me "Well at least JWs dont feel the need to psychoanalyze people and hang out in jails" or essentially, pride in not associating with/loving "undesirable" people. Like... *yeah that's not good.* That is *more* evidence of being in a cult. Recruit as many as possible, but never associate with outsiders. THAT IS A CULT.

Actually the Lamb was, is, and will always be the lamp that lights the way to the father. He is the way the truth and the life. However, Jesus is leading us to his God and Father. All of these verses make sense in the context of the relationship that exists between the father and the son. If a child sees his Father and Mother, it doesn’t mean that his mother is his father. This is how parenting works.
Ephesians 1:2 “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” It would be blasphemous to a Jew to write that grace and peace comes from anyone but God. I hadnt returned to the KH since 2018, but this last Sunday I felt God's Spirit urging to attend their Black Mass and obey Jesus. It is my understanding that the JWs believe that hell is not a place of eternal torment. It is a place of unconscious non-existence. To me, that’s like, pretty much dead. As an atheist, I can relate to that. The JWs don’t try to sell heaven. That hotel has already been booked by the 144,000 really special people. The rest of the almost but not quite really good people, will enjoy an eternity in a paradise-like life on earth, if they achieve “the hope of the resurrection.” Otherwise, they, like the rest of us, will remain in a place of unconscious non-existence. To which I ask of the JWs at my door, “So what’s the point?” If someone has achieved the eternal state of unconscious non-existence, why would they care? Seems to me that knocking on doors in one’s free time is a total waste of one’s free time. And to the Christians who witness to JWs, I offer the same challenge. Christians can’t deny that a state of unconscious non-existence is a possible outcome. Spoiler alert: Your Bible verses to the contrary, don’t move the needle. One more thing, most of my family members are either Mormons or Christian Scientists. I grew up in cults. I tried out some local evangelical churches before concluding that it’s all nonsense. Two JWs came to my door and I just asked them what God does with false prophets. Knowing that they have an extensive knowledge of the OT, they looked at oddly so I mentioned Elisha at Mt. Carmel and the Baal worshipers (1 Kings 18:16-45) and they nodded in acknowledgement. Then I asked them how many time Charles Taze Russell predicted the end of the world (over 11) and none came true. They became ashen in their faces and turned around and ran to the elders sitting in a car just down the road. The two elders came storming up to my door and spouted out John 1 from that corrupted version that says that Jesus was "a" God. I spoke John 1:1 in Koine Greek and pointed out that Greek is an anarthrous language the the rules for how we translate do not permit us to add an article. They huffed and stormed off and never came to my door again (I have trailers in my yard that have Ministry signs on the side).
What you don't realize is that the term FIRSTBORN (OF) -whether used literally or figuratively-ALWAYS indicates being a MEMBER of the group over which he is Firstborn. King David is the firstborn, the highest OF THE KINGS. Is he outside the category of the kings? Obviously not. He is PART or MEMBER OF THE GROUP OF KINGS. It's the same with Jesus being the firstborn OF all creation. The Lord Jesus is the first created and the most preeminent among God's creation.
Why not invite a real JW on your channel instead of using people who are not JWs to misrepresent them. You claim you were once a JW, but from listening to your ideas of what they teach, I highly doubt you understood their teachings. Yes! We desperately need ro be teaching apologetics to our young people. I’ve read that when our Christian kids get to college , the Woke anti Christian professors take great pride and even brag about how they love destroying the faith of Christian kids, and harassing them .
We need to teach everyone apologetics but it’s especially important for our kids .
There are so many people in America who hate God, Muslims, LGBT , Hindu , Jews, who need to hear the gospel and accept Yashua’s gift of salvation. And we need to be able to answer all their questions and debunk all the lies they believe. And they usually have the same lies, the same questions, the same mistakes.
Same for me - I hate to say it but a couple of times I was out gunned and didn’t know where to show them the truth but after the encounter, I read and read so in the future I was better prepared. I read the Bible to know God and for my heart/mind to be transformed but also to be prepared with a response for all who ask.

When I want to give up or when I’m ashamed because of my situation our Lord Jesus has comforted me. As a single mother with two children with special needs it can be overwhelming especially because I constantly struggle making ends meet. As I struggle to buy groceries each and every month and as I struggle to pay rent you have never left my side. Thank you Lord please continue to give me strength.
I can sympathize! While not a single mom, we have struggled with paying bills and affording rent. It's been a long journey of almost 6yrs. But it's wonderful how much it changes your perspective on your situation, when Jesus is feeling close to you. He promised to be a husband and father to those without one. Father I ask that you show up for her and wrap your arms around her. Father please send encouragers and helpers to her aid. In Jesus name amen.
You know, I too was for a long, long time struggling to make due, and always dreaming that one day; I would not have to do so. Then one day I looked around, at what I had, and even though it wasn't much, I decided that I was in the best position, I'd ever been in, in my whole 70 years. And so while; I was no richer than I had been seconds before, I found gratitude for those little blessings. And that changed my life... in more ways than one. Now, almost embarrassingly, the blessings don't stop coming. Yes, I might have only a penny or two more in my pocket, then maybe not. I still live in the same small place. But, I feel _(almost)_ rich. I feel more peace, than I have for many, many decades.
My suggestion to you is;
1) Get yourself an empty diary.
2) Every day, write down at least one blessing you have received, no matter how small.
3) Then when times seem too heavy, read from that diary, your own words. Let them lift you up.
I'm not sure if it's possible, but I suggest leaning on your local church and church family. God provides through His people.. I know I've experienced this a lot

I was raised one, born in 1978 and left in 2010 without knowing I had been indoctrinated. Woke up to that by 2012. Went into New Age and became a "psychic medium", tarot card reader and eventually a professional astrologer. I was saved in 2020 but allowed myself to go back to all of those former ways, due to my own Christian immaturity and pressure from others. I knew it was wrong - but getting along with those I was closest to was of more importance to me. It was wrong and I allowed myself to become desensitized to what I had done. I eventually got myself straight after the Holy Spirit worked on me and wouldn't allow me to (literally) get any sleep.
I attended a Christian church for the first time in my life this past Resurrection Sunday. It was a-ma-zing! So much true love from the Holy Spirit was there and I'll be officially joining this church and plan to be baptized as soon as possible.

If you read the prophecies of Jesus in Micah 5:4, Isaiah chapters 11,42,52,53,61, Psalm 2, 16, 22, 110, Jesus was, is and always will be the heavenly firstborn, servant, king and high priest of the Most High Father, the Living and True God Almighty JEHOVAH, for all eternity.
John 17:3 This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

My 60 year old born deaf/legally blind sister became a JW 10 years ago. Broke my mother’s heart. She tried her best to tell her their error in beliefs. My sister agreed on the deity of Christ…JW’s are some of the nicest people but they believe works save them. My sisters childhood deaf/blind friend is JW and influenced my sister. They are very good to my sister who lives independently. I pray her testimony will open the eyes of her precious friends. Since my mother’s passing in 2017 she has apparently become a devout follower of JW’s. I pray God has mercy on her soul!!

It takes the work of The Holy Spirit to remove the veil from their eyes and heart. It has been revealed to us so it is clear as day when we read the scriptures you illustrated but for the JW it is difficult to see in plain sight. The indoctrination is real but there is nothing impossible for our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ 🙏

I was actually raised Jehovahs Witness, and was one for the first 20 years of my life. I have recently joined a Christian church with my husband and it has been quite a journey to deconstruct everything I was ever taught growing up and to actually look at the scriptures and what they say. The trinity has obviously been quite a big part of my journey and for the first 6 months at the new church, I was very hesitant and honestly a little scared to even entertain the idea of it…….but here I am, a year into my new spiritual journey and I can honestly say that I believe in Jesus as God. It’s still a struggle daily, and sometimes those old JW beliefs seep into my mind and send me into a spiral, but prayer and study has really helped to build my new foundation with Jesus. Thank you so much for your videos! I always enjoy watching them, even if it is somewhat difficult to see those old teachings. Keep up the good work, sister! ❤

Melissa, I want to thank you for all of your videos. I’m so encouraged. I’ve been having 3 JWs over weekly for a “Bible study” and I’ve been playing the student. As a stay-at-home mom I don’t get many opportunities to witness, and the Lord just dropped these lovely women on my front porch and gave me a genuine love and burden for them. (in 2s of course). At first I was nervous but godly friends have encouraged me. And you, my friend, have been such a gift. I completely relate to your love of studying and taking deep dives into topics. I joke that the Lord has special plans for my OCD, and one example is binge watching your videos and compiling notes.

Some JWs came by 3 weeks ago handing out invitations to their black mass. I called them in to try to have a witnessing dialog. We chatted for about 20 minutes, but they had to leave. We got together 2 more times- had 4 hour long conversations. I used the approach of asking questions so that they felt superior, used their Bible to make points, tried so hard to encourage critical thinking. Before I could even get to passages about Jesus to prove he is God, we were on the topic of the Holy Spirit. I was using their Bible to prove the Spirits divinity. After only 4 out of 20 verses, the 'lead' witness pickup up. She was an elders wife and carried the stereotypical toxic bully behaviors that go with it. If I wasn't going to be taught by her like an ignorant empty headed sheep, then she had no interest in continuing the conversation. I think I could have gotten through to the other lady if she was alone. I feel like I failed God. :(
The Lord is sovereign in all things. It is not your job to save souls - it's your job to plant seeds. You did your job. Well done. Rejoice in the fact that God gave you the opportunity.

Witnessing to them requires a lot of learning, research and patience because they are very reluctant people😅. However it is the Holy Spirit's job to do the converting and not us. I have to say, Vada has such a contagious energy and I'm sure you had such a blast making that video with him.
My father was a JW for a brief period of time. He teaches about how we can witness to JWs at youth conferences. And yes, you need to use materials that they trust, like their Bible.

It has been 20 years that I stepped at any other church after JW’s and let me tell you now that I see a lot of Christian videos they are always talking bad about other churches or religions. I wish they would guide us the right direction of what church to go? Where to gather, what to do, instead of always criticizing all these preachers, churches, etc. etc. so sad. I’ve also attended some Christian churches and OMG very different beliefs from one another. It’s just crazy out there in this world when it comes to religion.😔

And also don't forget that this is all symbolic according to revelation 1:1.. So this does not prove that Jesus is Jehovah... so according to Doctor James white who is a prominent Baptist, you cannot confuse the whose with the Whats, who they are is not what they are, the son cannot be the father and the Bible described as Jehovah as the father, not the son at Isaiah 63:16.. I wanted to add Genesis 1 regarding Revelation and the light - since the two combined makes for some of my absolute favorites regarding "the secrets" of the Gospel of Jesus: notice in Genesis, that even before God made the firmament to separate the waters below from the waters above it, he separated the light from the darkness! This is before He creates the sun and the moon on day four, which means that there was light even before this. Enter, revelations 21: JESUS is literally the light of the world "..and it's light is the lamb"! This is so amazing! And just for kicks, let's just add into this context (not necessarily in regards to JW, but still...) that it talks about the sun and the moon in both these books, meaning from the first to the last book in the Bible, as two separate lights, created by God and placed in the firmament. This means that what we're being taught about the heliocentric model is wrong, since they teach us that the sun is the center we are revolving around and that the moon reflects the suns light. This is "...presented as knowledge without being so" from 2 Tim 6 - it does not align with the Word of God, and is not even what we can see and feel. The sun and the moon have different lights; warm vs cold, and the Hebrew talks about "the greater and the lesser light" in regards to its glow, not it's size... Also Joshua 10 proclaims that the sun and the moon stood still, and Hezekiah talks about the sun moving ten steps backwards (2 Kings 20). So - if you're not up to speed on this subject, I most friendly and with all love suggest some studying - it's AMAZING!!! ("Wireless - Revolving around The Son or the sun", if anyone is interested in studying further) God Bless you!

I was a Jehovah's Witness for about 34 years and probably knocked on thousands of doors. I never once remember anyone trying to share the gospel with me. It has to stop! 😢 God has placed this person on your doorstep! You have a COMMAND to share Christ with them in a kind way. We need to be a prepared people!
It just occurred to me that the reason God describes Himself in so many ways may, in part, be so that it is nearly impossible to cover up His true identity. The JW's have tried, but when you approach it as this young man does, you can't deny the Trinity. Its amazing.
This is also one method to move Mormons and Muslims: use their own sacred scriptures to show them how deceived they are.

One of my friends is a JW and when I try to show him what The Urantia Book says on different topics, he tells me I am being deceived and to disregard that evil book. He has yet to describe to me HOW he determines that the UB is an evil book. I keep in touch with him from time to time anyway. There is always hope for me and him.
The Urantia Book is a chanelled book of lies in direct opposition to God's Word.
I did something similar a few years back with a coworker JW. We met outside of work and I showed him with New World Translation that Jesus is God… Isaiah 9:6, Thomas calling Jesus God, Yahweh referring to Himself as the “Alpha and Omega” in the Old Testament and Jesus referring to Himself with the same title in Revelation.
The JW even read the verses himself and even said that the “Mighty God” an “Everlasting Father” in Is. 9:6 was referring to Jesus.
In the end, he said he didn’t believe it because he wouldn’t believe in the Trinity.
No one understands the constitution of the Godhead completely, but I think my JW friend was just choosing intentional unbelief despite plain fact from even the corrupt translation he uses.
The JW will likely point out that the verse in Psalms is a simile. It says "I will place him as firstborn."
The Lord knows who belongs to Him. That's such a comfort. Looking at salvation doctrine's requirement to believe Jesus was raised from the dead on the third day *in accordance with the Scriptures* seems to, at least technically (but this *is* salvation doctrine), disqualify anyone who disbelieves that Jesus was raised in a physical human body with flesh and blood and bone. The JWs will often say they believe the Resurrection, but there's this strange caveat when you pin them down on it. The Lord knows who belongs to Him. Maybe even some Catholics are saved regardless of their denial that Jesus' actual death contains sufficient grace for salvation but their play-act about it fills up what was lacking.. . The Lord knows, and we can only try to understand. This is my best understanding, for what it's worth, dear Christian. The big point? JWs, RCs, Ps... we ALL have to believe and confess Master Jesus in accordance with the Scriptures to be saved, but if we do, then that's all that's required (at least, , according to the Scriptures, so far as I can tell).
According to 1 Cor 15:1-3a and Rom 10:14a, believe the 4 things listed in 1 Cor 15:3b-8 and do the 1 thing emphasized 3 times in Rom 10:9-13 to be saved. What other scriptures as explicitly as these passages add, remove, or change any part of it? Tell me if you find one, please.
By the way, Hebrews 1:8 has God *explicitly* calling Jesus "God". The JWs translation reverses the subject and object to obscure that fact, but if you make them read it in KJV real slow... Verse 6 has God telling the angels to worship Jesus.

Like your Videos. I tried this with my 2 videos ("The Jehovah's Witnesses: Are They The ONE True Church." And, "The Jehovah's Witnesses: Some Timely Truth!" They are much TOO "involved" (and offensive), for most JWs. If the purpose is to COMMUNICATE with JWs (which it is), you get an A+.

I would love to hear some strategies at some point regarding how to engage JWs in conversation. They don't come to my house anymore (I think we"ve been blacklisted). But there is a JW in my workplace, he's actually an elder in the local Kingdom Hall, but because he knows I am a practicing born again believer, he keeps me at arms length. He avoids any conversations with me that are not work related or superficial chit chat. He won't even eat lunch in the same room as me. How would I move this relationship to the point where he would be comfortable engaging in real conversation?
Pray beforehand, during and after. Maybe tell him you wanna learn about JW? Tell him since the new announcement, women can wear pants now and shunning family isn't a necessity anymore and that sparked an interest in the faith for you. Then use the Socratic method to constantly ask them questions (it makes them feel superior, like they're saving you" and hopefully little by little, the logic and reasoning will crumble. All we can do is plant the seed. Let the HS do the rest :)

Planting seeds is all you can do. You can't convert them only God can. Please don't be despondent, as you may not see the fruit in this life, but you will in the next when you meet them in Heaven. Keep up the good work please 😀🙏❤️

I’m still baffled by the Mormon and JW communities. It literally sounds like their resources were just the Holy Bible but they changed the narrative to fit their own beliefs when it all CLEARLY SHOWS the Trinity is of the scriptures. I pray for them to see the light, and yeah I agree, they are all very good people, and I grew up with friends who lived in those communities, but I really hope they get a chance to see the real goodness of God’s truth one day.

Hi Melissa, love your channel. I think this is a great strategy for convincing others that JW doctrine is wrong, even from their own translation. In your experience, how effective is this approach in dealing with JWs themselves? Is a direct attack on their rejection of the Trinity very effective? Or is it better to address the bondage that they're in in a legalistic and manipulative system, and leave the theology to a later stage in the relationship?
I had a beautiful experience with the Mormons once when I was a little girl. I sure hope they read the King James likes I asked. 👍
Most will still combat this truth though. I have 2 JW friends, very nice cpl. I used the verse from John when Thomas seen Jesus after he died and seen his scars and said, "My Lord and my God". And his response was, "Yea, but he didn't say, God Almighty"."

3rd Grade Grammar left the chat. If y’all understood metaphors then you’d understand that Jesus has the Glory of God because he is His perfect Son. Idk if it’s intellectually dishonesty or what but if you use that as your evidence of Jesus being Jehovah God, then you must also agree that New Jerusalem in verse 10 and 11 is also God since Jerusalem also has the “Glory of God”. See Jehovah said at least 100xs in Isaiah that he is One and the True God explicitly. The fact that Jesus never directly quoted that statement but over and over claimed to be the SON OF God and His REPRESENTATIVE several times in John, makes it abundantly clear Jesus, like David will be the King of Israel but also like David, NOT God. What does Rev. 1:1 say? A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God GAVE HIM. It’s literally that simple. The Idea of LOVE itself cannot exist if the Son and The Father are not separate beings. Hence Jehovah would’ve just asked Abraham to sacrifice himself. Not to mention a “Father” implies creation because if you like me are born in God’s image then it would be our Fathers who “created” us and we see just that in scripture, Paul said in Colosssians 1:15, “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation…”
I had an interaction with a JW the other day, I basically said "Yeah no youre un a cult, and the thing about people in a cult is they usually dont know they are in a cult"
You know just laying it out, I knew it wouldnt do anything but the response surprised me "Well at least JWs dont feel the need to psychoanalyze people and hang out in jails" or essentially, pride in not associating with/loving "undesirable" people.
Like... *yeah that's not good.* That is *more* evidence of being in a cult. Recruit as many as possible, but never associate with outsiders. THAT IS A CULT.

I had a Kingdom Interlinear English/Greek New Testament years ago. It correctly translated John 1:1. It said, "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was toward the God and God was the Word". That book is out of print, but you might find it used somewhere.
In an interlinear format, the text below each word or phrase is typically a transliteration meaning literal word-for-word translation rather than a full translation.
Question: *If* John meant ‘a god’ how do you think he would have written it?
Both Jehovah God the Father and Jesus illuminate the City. Just because both are sources of light does not mean they are one and the same person, that Jesus is Jehovah.
Both Jesus’ disciples and Jesus Christ himself are called “the light of the world” (Matt. 5:14; John 8:12) but obviously do not mean they refer to one and the same person.

Actually the Lamb was, is, and will always be the lamp that lights the way to the father. He is the way the truth and the life. However, Jesus is leading us to his God and Father. All of these verses make sense in the context of the relationship that exists between the father and the son. If a child sees his Father and Mother, it doesn’t mean that his mother is his father. This is how parenting works.
At 17 mins, the word "the" didn't precede "holy spirit". This tells that the Holy Spirit is a who.

It would be blasphemous to a Jew to write that grace and peace comes from anyone but God. I tend to stick with really simple proofs like this because it’s easy to work with and I don’t need to waste my time with someone who will argue no matter what.

Hi Melissa! Your ministry helped me a lot when I was first waking up to the deception of JWs back in 2017. I was born again that year, got baptized in a lake, and was subsequently kicked out. I hadnt returned to the KH since 2018, but this last Sunday I felt God's Spirit urging to attend their Black Mass and obey Jesus. I went, did my Communion with Jesus while being shunned and watching everybody reject Jesus. It was sad, but God does love them. It took me awhile to find when Vada said let's look at what John says in 21 23 and 24. Well He didn't say Revelation 21 vs 23 and 24 so I asked a JW to read Jn 21: 23 and 24 it obviously wasn't what I had expected. My fault but that's what the recording said. lol

It is my understanding that the JWs believe that hell is not a place of eternal torment. It is a place of unconscious non-existence. To me, that’s like, pretty much dead. As an atheist, I can relate to that.
The JWs don’t try to sell heaven. That hotel has already been booked by the 144,000 really special people. The rest of the almost but not quite really good people, will enjoy an eternity in a paradise-like life on earth, if they achieve “the hope of the resurrection.” Otherwise, they, like the rest of us, will remain in a place of unconscious non-existence. To which I ask of the JWs at my door, “So what’s the point?” If someone has achieved the eternal state of unconscious non-existence, why would they care? Seems to me that knocking on doors in one’s free time is a total waste of one’s free time.
And to the Christians who witness to JWs, I offer the same challenge. Christians can’t deny that a state of unconscious non-existence is a possible outcome. Spoiler alert: Your Bible verses to the contrary, don’t move the needle.
One more thing, most of my family members are either Mormons or Christian Scientists. I grew up in cults. I tried out some local evangelical churches before concluding that it’s all nonsense. Christianity is the so-called apostle Paul’s cult. Everyone else has been trying to put their own spin on it.

Obviously that is the JW narrative and that is still in my head but now I'm seeing info that Yahweh was actually some evil other character in the Old Testament and that goes into some whole other rabbit holes. in the Bible we find that jesus didn't have the same will as the father, he actually said take this cup away from me, but not as I will, but as you will, thats not the same will...if you re then going to insist that that was because he was human, then what was his nature, then you're confusing his nature with what he is..(God) because if he is still God he can't be a human with a different nature and will to the father,.. so again the 3 in unity doesn't match up... He's not in union with God on this as he does not want it, but he goes through with it no matter what happens.... Because he's faithful to his father no matter what happens to him.

Two JWs came to my door and I just asked them what God does with false prophets. Knowing that they have an extensive knowledge of the OT, they looked at oddly so I mentioned Elisha at Mt. Carmel and the Baal worshipers (1 Kings 18:16-45) and they nodded in acknowledgement. Then I asked them how many time Charles Taze Russell predicted the end of the world (over 11) and none came true. They became ashen in their faces and turned around and ran to the elders sitting in a car just down the road. The two elders came storming up to my door and spouted out John 1 from that corrupted version that says that Jesus was "a" God. I spoke John 1:1 in Koine Greek and pointed out that Greek is an anarthrous language the the rules for how we translate do not permit us to add an article. They huffed and stormed off and never came to my door again (I have trailers in my yard that have Ministry signs on the side).

What you don't realize is that the term FIRSTBORN (OF) -whether used literally or figuratively-ALWAYS indicates being a MEMBER of the group over which he is Firstborn. King David is the firstborn, the highest OF THE KINGS. Is he outside the category of the kings? Obviously not. He is PART or MEMBER OF THE GROUP OF KINGS. It's the same with Jesus being the firstborn OF all creation. The Lord Jesus is the first created and the most preeminent among God's creation.
Why not invite a real JW on your channel instead of using people who are not JWs to misrepresent them. You claim you were once a JW, but from listening to your ideas of what they teach, I highly doubt you understood their teachings.
