TheRcSaylors My 28-cents worth: In my RC “hangar” I have many quads of various sizes, brands and price-points... from tiny little Propel Nano’s, up to a Syma X8. My point is that I’ve never, EVER had one toilet-bowl, not even a little. Not with my large $120 quad, nor with my little $15 Guo Shun. It’s simply unacceptable to release a product that hasn’t had the bugs worked-out (like Apple does ☹️👎🏼). So my vote would be to quit with the no-name, Chinese copy-tech clone-drones. The drone market has been saturated with a bunch of “also-flew” quadcopters, and it’s getting kinda messy in here. People who are starting in this hobby and will be spending a $1,000 on a quad (or hex) don’t have much to worry about - almost everything at that price-point is great. And those buyers wanting to spend less have many great (albeit less-sophisticated) options in the $35-100 price range. You shouldn’t have to drop more than that to get a stable, reliable flyer. So a $150 GPS quad that flies like an off-balance spinning top is simply ridiculous. What a waste of money and time! That being said, it’s absolutely wonderful that you guys take the time to help keep your viewers from throwing-away their hard-earned money on underwhelming RC junk - sad that there’s so much of it out there. So maybe just stick to tried-and-true brands from here on out. 👍🏼
I think you should stop reviewing THESE kind of drones. You only really focused on cheap dji wannabe beginner drones. They're all pretty simelar with a few good exceptions. But there are so many different drones in this price range that I think you should take a look at. Sure, the normal people will go for a dji drone after these beginner drones, but the hobbyists (which I think are the more long term watchgroup of your channel) will go a different route. There are AMAZING drones out there like the old 15$ Eachine e011, which after a little bit of DIY (soldering two cables to two labeled connectors+some hot glue) with a 10-15$ fpv aio system transformes in a proper tinywhoop. Or for the more advanced guys: e.g. review the URUAV 65, which is also a small cute tinywhoop, but has the components of a racing drone with osd, a full betaflight flight controller, brushless motors, etc. After all: These dji wannabe drones try to be a really good camera drone, but they simple aren't. And they are mainly used to just have some fun outside. With some little more hobby grade drones you can get so many amazin fundrones in that price range. You can't take nice selfies and stuff like that with them, but honestly, who uses the 125$ X28 for taking serious pictures like they'd do with their phone? I went both routes: started with a 80$ alt hold smartphone fpv drone, which was really fun. At first I tried to make pictures of our house or sth like that, but they always turned out horrible. After stumbling over the first fpv drone compilations back in 2014 or 15, I used my drone more as that sport device and even with that altitude hold drone, it was quite fun to "rip" it around in the park and between these trees, through that bush hole, etc. After that I went both ways and now I have a dji spark and a few race quads of various sizes, from a tinywhoop to a 250sized quad. Drones that are between chinese beginner drones and dji drones are sth like 200$ hubsans or sth like that. Maybe it's just me who really liked the fun drone part (I was also deeply affected by the Flitetest hype), but I think it's worth looking into. (Yes I know you did some in the past, but only a few real acro mode fpv drones/tinywhoops.) Have a nice day, Felix
Perhaps focusing more on racing drones & higher end camera drones like 250 usd & upwards ? I wouldn't mind seeing more land based vehicles here myself, perhaps some solid axle monster truck, reviews of brushless sensored systems in some chassis etc. Perhaps you can go over the electronics in this thing & see if its fixable if you take this apart again.
What Drone Ranger ^ said. The hobby, and newbies in particular needs you to highlight crap like this. This is truly as shocking as the Syma X8 Pro. Remember Bayangtoys X16? One of the best quads around at the time!
GC_T.W.O_TYME THE GREAT, RICH AND POWERFUL I appreciate what you guys have done I’m a newbie to the hobby and would have made a big mistake on buying that drone
Love the passion for the hobby AND consumer. Believe it or not, you are of great service for the hobby because of your honesty. BECAUSE of you guys, I bought 2 drones because of your recomendation ( Bugs 2 & Xiro xplorer). With that said, keep doing what your doing... which is a great job.
Look you guys, you saved huge dollars for your fans by showing us what not to buy. Many times other reviewers endorced garbage but only the truth is shown here.
Truth is, I've given up on non-gyro "camera" drones as well. My first drone was a Yuneec Breeze 4K; it only took a couple of weeks to explore its full potential. Then I tried to find a sub-100 dollar "camera" drone -- I came to the same conclusion as the rocket engineer who said, "The problem with guided missiles is there aren't any." The same thing with cheap "camera" drones. Right now, I see four classes of drones that are fun: 1) In-house drones -- they're small, they're cute, and it's pretty amazing that something that tiny can fly. 2) Bigger, outside drones (forget the camera) -- just enjoy the flying, let your brain store the memories. 3) Racing drones -- nearest thing to flying without wings. 4) 2 or 3 axis gimbal camera drones -- "if the camera's not steady, the drone's not ready." Right now, the Fimi X8 SE is the last entry into this category, and I don't know of any more on the horizon (Mavic Air 2?) I've got a small lake out back; I'm enjoying some RC boats at the moment. But if you don't review drones, what will we do?! More to the point, what will POPEYE do?! You don't want to break his little doggie heart!

Hi guys. I have a DJI it works perfectly and the camera quality is awesome. As you said many drones in the market are garbage, same happen to cars, planes and helicopters. But your channel is very important to give reviews and help people decide where to put their money. Thanks for the channel and the great reviews. Cheers!
I know a lot of these drones might not be enjoyable and garbage. I also don’t know how the economic drain on you all might be in order to review these. But I know the rc community appreciates the thoroughly awesome reviews that you do make in order to save others money. And if I’m being honest, it might cause a loss in viewers/audience. I know I’d stay for sure to watch you all. But I’m sure that’s a huge audience that watches for drone reviews. But for sure always do what makes ya happy Nate and Abby! :)
You are probably right my friend. Maybe we just need a break from drones, rather than being done. The market needs to change a little, for the better 👍⚓😃
TheRcSaylors agreed, I’ve been looking for a new drone recently and it seems flooded with a lot of these new “do it all drones” that are just bellow $200. But operate quite poorly.
This is why I watch you to see what drones are bad and what ones are good to buy so do not stop doing drones the company will see your videos and look what did make Bad drones
But i want y'all to remember one important thing...your videos help.us not make bad purchases..and that is very important work you do for all of us that love your content! Thanks guys!! Virgil
The gyro stabilization is obviously defective in that drone. I would return it for another one and see if it has the same results just to be fair. I hope you continue doing drones because I enjoy your honest opinions on the products. Be blessed and stay safe.
The problem is you have to buy Bayangtoys from China and it will be a super pain to get a replacement. And it will take way over a month. Better to find out now which ones are prone to defects and not order them.
This why I follow you guys ,and subscribers are on the up because of your honest opinion. I wonder why companies keep introducing drones that fly all over the place and are not ready for general release.
I really feel and understand your frustration. Really enjoy your channel and your videos, and would understand taking a break from drones, but we all look forward to your reviews, and use them as guides.
You haven't had a decent quad / drone then. I promise fpv quad flying will put a fixed wing in the ground. And yes i have over 20 fixed wing planes from slow to 150mph + planes there all fun but u have had a bad experience??
I watch your drone videos out of curiosity but I dont have much interest. I fly my camera (Mavic Pro) and take great video with it. My interest is mainly in fixed wing and would love to see more fixed wing planes.
I hope you don't stop your drone reviews. Love the honesty and the protection you provide us in not burying junk. I have been watching for awhile now trying to decide on my first drone. Want to stay under the 200$ mark and as a beginner your channel has been so helpful. Any recommendations for first drone under 200$ ??
Because of you, I got into flying drones. You recommended or said that the bugs 3 was a good drone. I got one and I got hooked on flying drones.I am in the process of getting ready to fly a bugs 4. I was hoping to see a review of the bugs 4 from you guys. I took a chance and ordered one anyway. I hope you don’t stop because you’ve kept me from buying some bad ones thanks for all you do for the RC community.
Use Amazon as a gate keeper. If the Drone is not available on Amazon, don’t review it. The ship from China to consumer experience is sketchy enough, even when via Amazon.
I understand your justifiable frustration. Please hang in there with drones because you're helping the new and potential flyers. I started into drones by watching you guys almost two years ago. I've moved on to DJI drones, but I keep coming back to watch your videos.
I enjoy and trust your reviews. I'm new to the hobby and I really appreciate your channel for the info and the family friendly aspect. I bet there are other channels that feel the same as you. Maybe a bunch of ugly reviews from multiple channels would bring on better products.
@@johnaverick7468 On December 8, 1993 NAFTA was signed into law and soon afterwards we saw a "ton of crap" being "dumped" into the United States by China and others. That in turn forced US manufactures to close factories and move to Mexico for production. The late Ross Perot was on it during his '93 presidential bid about predictions of Nafta’s impact - notably his claim of the “giant sucking sound” Americans would hear as businesses shuttered operations in the United States.
I started watching your channel and bought some decent toy grade quads- I got bored with them and started flying FPV. Bought the Walkera Furious 215 after seeing your review on it. Love it but a little too big and fast to fly without a bigger place to fly! Hadn’t seen many FPV quads on your channel lately so I’ve been watching other channels with more FPV content ( Stew - UAV futures) Nick Burns does some really good informative videos on smaller FPV quads. So far I’ve bought the Happymodel Mantis 85- Happymodel Mobula 7 which is a 75mm brushless quad that really rips! But listen- your channel is definitely informative and helps people make better choices on buying. Well done RC Saylors- we’ll done! ( By the way- I’m 61 years old and loving flying FPV )
To be honest I'm shocked you've stuck it out with this kind of crap as long as you have. It's a credit to you that you've continued to subject yourself to dealing with these things. When you start to dread even messing with them or attempt to "fly" them then you need to look at alternatives. There's other RC stuff out there that much better so don't keep doing it "because of RUclips", if you need a break from all the junk then find other RC stuff you enjoy to make videos of. Gotta be happy above all else.
Hi guys. Please don't stop with the drone reviews. If someone just starting out in the hobby doesn't know, they may get a bad drone and give up on the hobby abs become discouraged. You give great insite in this industry. I know it's frustrating but we need to know. Thanks
I feel ya. I stick with DJI and buy once. My2cents. For $150 the Ryze Tello is solid. But more of an indoor drone. Love your honesty. Keep up with the great videos. Don’t change
Not everyone has DJI money to spend on a toy. I personally also don't like the forced registration and the forced updates or you can't fly. It is almost like DJI is your boss. No thanks.
Your channel is the only one that really covers both beginners and experienced lvl drones and is honest on how they perform, please don't change but take a break from crap if needed
How can you forget MJX BUGS, which are all good. Bust out your pocket knife and scratch that sticker off that dud. Now IF you want to have some fun, just do a flyover on the skeet range.
I think these cheap companies try to cram way too much into their products - brushless with gps should not toilet bowl . Keep up the Honest reviews Saylors.
It's a joke. These things are produced for those that don't know any better. People buy a 'cheap' drone for $30 and expect it to be able to do everything they see on TV or whatever. Most don't realize there's a learning curve or don't do the research. I'd never buy one of these pieces of sh*t. Go here: armattanquads.com/ and buy something decent. No, I don't work for them.
Don't stop reviewing drones and anything else, love all the content that y'all put out there and don't sugar coat anything and tell it like it is no matter what. Keep up the good work .Thanks
FWIW, this is the only RC channel I watch regularly. Something I like about youse guyz is it's pretty much "what is the experience out of the box". And crawlers of course😉😂 Outside of RC, I've come across some reviewers that will try to figure out a solution to whatever problems they are having with a product. When they release a video (or saga), they include the problems and resolution (if there is one). There can be value for a viewer in doing all the extra work. I've also clicked off of a lot of sales pitches..... Would it be a good use of YOUR time spending hours troubleshooting inexpensive, unpopular drones? Do what makes you happy. I really enjoy drones but it's such a hassle to fly where I live, I don't bother with anything but my Propel X wing once in a while.
You and Abby helped me so much when I first started in the hobby. I know it must be frustrating to review the bad drones but that is what helps the new person get quality drones or rc vehicles in order to stay in the hobby. I always admired how honest you guys are in your reviews, not just hawking a product for a company. Maybe move to some race drones or fpv.
I'm with you on this BreakingSilence. This is an important decision - they must carry on testing these unknown quantities otherwise who can we rely on to tell us what to avoid? Ps - take no notice of the pedantic idiot who's more interested in spelling rather than the matter in hand!
@@TheRcSaylors I appreciate you..I have a F100 ghost..I did not even bother and fly it knowing it would hit some crazy shit and expense me without even 1 mb of usage footage...Sending it back..I am more informed now..Thanks for a great channel.
It saddens me to learn that you're washing your hands of general purpose drones (e.g. anything not designed to be a race drone) :-( Personally, I love it when you review a $#¡77Y drone and then *TELL YOUR VIEWERS* that it's a $#¡77Y drone without the fluff and sugar-coating that other RUclips "reviewers" add.
Great video, I agree the drone hobby has been negatively impacted by these junk drones. I really hope in the future all drone companies offer a good drone that works as advertised at a fair price.
I’ve had two drones do the bowl deal , recalibrating helped one and the other I had take the heading as close to 0 degrees before take off for the compass and gps it helped immensely , hope this helps you all , love your videos and congrats on the baby.
Please don't stop. You are helping us what not to buy. Many people save lots of bucks because of you guys, and personally that is the reason why I subscribed.
I like that you do review the less than stellar drones. It educates the newbies thinking about getting into the hobby to guys like me that are looking for an affordable drone but the saying is true: “You get what you pay for”
I agree.Call out junk when it's junk. But I wouldn't stop reviewing drones all together, but be more selective. And research the drone a bit more before purchasing for a review.
I send people to your channel when they are debating as to what drone to get. There have been an increase of bad drones, I'll agree with you there. I wouldn't stop with the drone reviews. Maybe reduce the number. Be more selective. I would love to see more plane and car/truck reviews though too. I agree with ya though. "I am done with stuff like this." Maybe a video on this. What drones after such and such amount of time do you go back to cuz they are so fun. I think you did one like this before but were there that few? How is the Tello holding up? Still fly it?
I hope that you don't stop reviewing drones as you help everyone watching your channel. Maybe you should take a break from the drones for a while. Hopefully, someone will come out with something decent after a while. I love your honest reviews and that you keep your channel family friendly. Thank you both!
Please keep doing what you have been doing with the drones. Honest reviews is what your subscribers have come to expect from RCSAYLORS. You have built a level of trust. Don’t change that.
I am not surprised a Bayang product acts like this. I bought an x16 that flies like this and every once in a while just decides to fly east until it runs into something. Please keep up the good work I have bought and avoided many quadcopters after watching your videos.
Please keep reviewing Drones! Take a break for some boats or ground vehicles, but please don't stop drones. This is very informative and educational for us new guys to the hobby! I feel your frustration though! Thanks Nate and Abby!
You are providing valuable information to your subscribers by exposing these low quality, faulty drones. Please keep helping us make informed drone purchases!
Very good point. Thanks for the input my friend. Maybe we are just due for a short break from these drones.. to give these companies some time to straighten up the stuff they are releasing 👍⚓😃
I know it's hard having to review sub-standard products, but I appreciate getting as much information about something -- the good and most especially the bad. So yeah I always appreciate your reviews :)
Yes keep being yourself and honest. Idk how old this video is. But I appreciate your honest review on all products. Helps me to know what planes I like or need. Thanx again to you both.
My 2 cents are keep reviewing since you Guys are honest in your evaluations and provide a public service to those of us looking to purchase and use your reviews as a benchmark. Thank you for your honesty. Best wishes to all of you!!!
Agree with most of the comments, you guys are unbiased and know what you are talking about. You cover expensive and cheap drones and apply the same testing format, its why i watch and makes me want to get into the hobby. Hope you don't give up but understand your frustration!

I want to see some more toothpicks and race quads and the emax tinyhawk
I hope you don't stop your drone reviews. Love the honesty and the protection you provide us in not burying junk. I have been watching for awhile now trying to decide on my first drone. Want to stay under the 200$ mark and as a beginner your channel has been so helpful. Any recommendations for first drone under 200$ ??
You shouldn’t even have a link to this drone in your description.
5:43, you are totally right and that's why you are my favorite Rc channel because I know I can trust you and not get scammed
Thank you so much my friend. That means a lot to us 👍⚓😃
Love the videos keep it up u guys are the best⚓⚓👍😁
We appreciate honesty from you. You help us find the good ones.
Please remove your sticker!
That drone is junk and thank you for honest review.
This drone doesn't deserve to have your logo attached!
LOL!
I understand your justifiable frustration. Please hang in there with drones because you're helping the new and potential flyers. I started into drones by watching you guys almost two years ago. I've moved on to DJI drones, but I keep coming back to watch your videos.
The drone market really sucks right now. Idk what has happened.
Well said. We couldnt agree more. 👍⚓😃
I enjoy and trust your reviews. I'm new to the hobby and I really appreciate your channel for the info and the family friendly aspect. I bet there are other channels that feel the same as you. Maybe a bunch of ugly reviews from multiple channels would bring on better products.
This might sound crazy. But after Trump gave China the what for, I am seeing a ton of crap hitting our shores from China for a while now.
Don't ya'll quit! You've been very helpful over the years. Thks. Tony M.
Good on you to expose these crappy products. Honest opinions like yours will bring more awareness to what’s out there. Thanks guys!
Any gps drone without stabilized video is pointless in my opinion.
Abby said it best..."This stuff is toxic for the hobby ".
Hi guys. Please don't stop with the drone reviews. If someone just starting out in the hobby doesn't know, they may get a bad drone and give up on the hobby abs become discouraged. You give great insite in this industry. I know it's frustrating but we need to know. Thanks
Thank you very much for that Joe 👍⚓😃 Maybe we just need to take a short break from this sort of drone to see if the industry changes at all.
Wow I've never seen Nat this upset before, about anything. This drone must've really gotten up his skin.
Hes right though, spending 150$ on a piece of plastic that doesnt fly straight would ruin anyones day
No thanks.
I would really like for y'all to keep making drones video as long as it's not hurting your pocket lol ,keeps us from spending money on them.
I know of at least 2 Bugs 2s that had crap mother boards.
Brick wall or skeet range would make for some great footage!
I appreciate the real world honest reviews of products like this. My vote would be in the don't stop reviewing them box.
And crawlers of course😉😂
Outside of RC, I've come across some reviewers that will try to figure out a solution to whatever problems they are having with a product.
I feel that you SHOULD keep doing this because it does help me know and understand the drones you test and review.
I don't see a lot of helicopters on your channel. Can you maybe review some of those?
Greywulf2112 agreed 100%👍👍
Same here
You and Abby helped me so much when I first started in the hobby. I know it must be frustrating to review the bad drones but that is what helps the new person get quality drones or rc vehicles in order to stay in the hobby. I always admired how honest you guys are in your reviews, not just hawking a product for a company.
Maybe move to some race drones or fpv.
if you stay away from drones we would not now what drone to by but I can see what you are saying the drone market is full of crape thanks for your vid
BreakingSilence know not now crap not crape
Just buy DJI and be done with it
I'm with you on this BreakingSilence. This is an important decision - they must carry on testing these unknown quantities otherwise who can we rely on to tell us what to avoid? Ps - take no notice of the pedantic idiot who's more interested in spelling rather than the matter in hand!
dont stop!! You would save alotta consumers trouble..thanks
Thanks clayton ❤ We think we just needed a short break from these kinds of drones. There are just so many bad ones flooding the market.
@@TheRcSaylors I appreciate you..I have a F100 ghost..I did not even bother and fly it knowing it would hit some crazy shit and expense me without even 1 mb of usage footage...Sending it back..I am more informed now..Thanks for a great channel.
@@TheRcSaylors Much love..stay up champ!
more planes ... More Planes ... MORE PLANES !!!
I hope you don't stop reviewing drones, hopefully you'll get some better ones soon, and it's great that you're honest. You're the best!
Thanks a lot for the encouragement my friend. Maybe just a break from this style of drone for a while. 👍⚓😃
I totally feel you. I’m sick of crappy drones. The bar has been set high and these manufacturers need to step up or step off.
Wow that drone is terrible. With that said keep reviewing drones so we don’t but crappie drones.
You guys are right, there are still good drones out there, but they are rare, Thanks for being real! I will keep watching no matter what you do!
Bad drone!! Thanks Saylors for the honest, first review!! I'll pass on this one!! 💟👍😘
The good thing is, you’re helping to educate the rest of us in regards to what drones to stay away from!
I love your videos your the best why isn’t everyone who has RUclips subscribed to you
❤❤❤❤👍⚓😃
Hey Nate & Abbey? I really think you could turn our frown upside down...
It saddens me to learn that you're washing your hands of general purpose drones (e.g. anything not designed to be a race drone) :-(
Personally, I love it when you review a $#¡77Y drone and then *TELL YOUR VIEWERS* that it's a $#¡77Y drone without the fluff and sugar-coating that other RUclips "reviewers" add.
I love the honesty!!! That's why I watch your channel. Keep it up.
Keep doing the drone reviews. There are so many junk products out there. Some one needs to do honest reviews.
Great video, I agree the drone hobby has been negatively impacted by these junk drones. I really hope in the future all drone companies offer a good drone that works as advertised at a fair price.
Build a brick wall and if the drone ends up being junk fly it full speed into the wall, we'll call it "THE JUNK WALL !!!"👍🏾😎👍🏾
I’ve had two drones do the bowl deal , recalibrating helped one and the other I had take the heading as close to 0 degrees before take off for the compass and gps it helped immensely , hope this helps you all , love your videos and congrats on the baby.
Please keep drone reviews. How can we make a good decision to purchase a product without your non-basis evaluations?
Please don't stop. You are helping us what not to buy. Many people save lots of bucks because of you guys, and personally that is the reason why I subscribed.
Was, going to get it. NOT ANYMORE . Thanks
Man, you dodged a toilet bowl!
"I am done with stuff like this."
Maybe a video on this. What drones after such and such amount of time do you go back to cuz they are so fun. I think you did one like this before but were there that few? How is the Tello holding up? Still fly it?
Absolutely right, Sailors! This is your usual honest approach, but this time you've taken the time to explain us! Well done! Thank you! 😃
Pls don’t stop reviewing drones even if they are terrible it helps us out
I hope that you don't stop reviewing drones as you help everyone watching your channel.
Your honesty is appreciated !
Okay what's the "Unlock flying drone mode" on the screen? Did you forget something Nate?
My 2 cents are keep reviewing since you Guys are honest in your evaluations and provide a public service to those of us looking to purchase and use your reviews as a benchmark. Thank you for your honesty. Best wishes to all of you!!!
Man, i really do love you guys! Please never stop you have a fan for life. I wish you & yours the best. Love your honesty Nate.
Agree with most of the comments, you guys are unbiased and know what you are talking about. You cover expensive and cheap drones and apply the same testing format, its why i watch and makes me want to get into the hobby. Hope you don't give up but understand your frustration!
I like your sincerity, I have a new respect for you guys, thanks for supporting the hobby. I'm subscribing to your channel.
Thanks for this info. I always watch your videos and make decisions based on them. 😊
