actually I am fine with what it is. not much beat effects, 2 channels, but the only lacking feature that I think is essential is the booth output. I mean, who would spend $1,100 for just a bedroom use? this can be your go to dj equipment.

I have this unit. Yes some things could be better, but comes down to what your requirements are, ie budget, space..and of course where you will be using it. For me was a great way to practice at home and get used to rekordbox (after a recent upgrade at home) for me it fitted my criteria. No major complaints from me
Not sure if you bought this controller or not, If you are looking for a controller to practice on and maybe take to some house parties it'll probably be fine (but at that price point, you could have just got a DDJ controller IMO). This is a very capable controller, as you can see in the video, there are just some design oversights that kind of worsen the deal because you will eventually need to upgrade if you plan to gig, there are probably work arounds for the lack of booth outs, but that's whether you want to deal with that or not. However, if you can save just a little bit more for a used RX1 or an RX2 you might be better off. TL;DR if you're a beginner and just wanna play and you got money to blow, sure get it, but I think a standard RX or RX2 is something you can actually grow into.
@@TranceCore3 yes I bought one, and yes the issues that you mentioned (no booth out puts) I have figured, by way of a minimixer which gives me 3 exrra outputs which cost me about 10€. As i say thwrw are things that could be better. The reaosn I chose this was that initially i don't use a laptop, just usb (obviously now I have a choice) the midel you mentioned did not have this option. For mw it was ideal as at my club where i am a resident we have the cdj nexus. So the transition and for practicing purposes was ideal. I have ir had no intention of taking this untit on the road. If i had to in an emergency then I would. I only started using rekordbox this year so the transition pwriod had been made easier for me with such videos and this unti..not to mention the world situation as we are doing practically nothing club wise right now. Sorry for the long reply, but just wanted to get my point and reasoning out. 👍🏾
lovely mix and video. what camera do you use, and stand to film above? seems a great set up. when i film with my iphone, edit in FCP, and upload to youtube, it becomes horribly grainy. thanks in advance. love

It sounded ok. But as a producer i could see how the producer of these tracks would CRINGE hearing you butchard their break downs and drops they spent alot of time on. Just because you wanted to be "busy". No hard feelings i get it being a dj also its hard to fill the standing around time EXPECIALLY in a smaller club where everyone is in your face. In a huge venue that shit is wayyy easier to just be doing nothing.
I'm late to the comments but it's nice to see someone that knows how to work it not just read the brochure. Thank you. Epic mix.

Hey James can you do a video on how to beat grid with rekordbox. I have a little trouble with it and just need some pointers lol
Is this a good standalone? I'm thinking of getting it. I've read bad reviews but it looks perfect to use for a mix with my mates without a laptop

Salve como coloca esse gráfico aí na xdj rr
Acho que nas configurações deve ter alguma aba do grid ou gráfico
@@ademarmneto não tô conseguindo colocar e não acho um vídeo explicando
Is XDJ RR worth for beginner?
Definitely not
I don't think so. Get the DDJ400 and see if you like it, and if you do want a stand alone later get the XDJ RX2...much better :)
Xdj rr is really problem machine. It always move bpm by it self. Try another machine
@@Mr.White369 i have one perfect no problem
how do i transfer music from rekordbox to a usb stick?

wow it would have been great if this set lasted hours
Would be better if you played 2step UKG as the break beats etc require a lot more technical skills. Would be good to see it done on this mixer.
