You are definitely allowed to end a sentence in a preposition! It's a myth that you cannot! For instance, think of this sentence: What are you sitting on? It makes perfect logical sense and is not incorrect in the slightest. Fun fact!
Sometimes, when I'm needing a pick-me-up, I find a good John vid. where his excitement excites me. Thank you for existing, John. I can always count on the Vlogbrothers to make me feel better when I can't do it myself.
As a Nerdfighter in training (SO MANY VIDEOS) and a huge soccer/football fan, I have to say that the "One-size Fitz Hall" chant is hilarious and it's beyond amazing that supporters have adopted it.
So John, my friend just recently started reading TFiOS and very near the end now and she told me that she wasn't aware that she could feel this wide range of emotions all at one time. She is so happy that I told her about this beautiful story and can't wait to read more of John's work. I am so happy to have this new thing to talk to her about and am eager to analyze the book with her. John, thank you so much for this beautiful, beautiful story. With love, Amanda
Dear John, I live in Ireland. I used to feel really sad when you'd talk about your books or cool stuff, because frankly not many people know you to are in my area(gasp i know right). while I was shopping the last day I stumbled into a book store hoping I might find your book and by chance it was there. Right on the no.1 spot. I stood in front of it smiling like a goof for a good while. Then I hastily picked it up and brought it and I honestly say I been so happy since then. Thanks John. DFTBA
I love the energy in every John Green RUclips video! I should probably watch 2 or 3 each morning to get me amped up. I might be able to cut back on caffeine by doing that.
Okay so if people can buy hard copies of movies with download codes to put it on their computer, why can't we do that with books? Like go to a website or an app or something, punch in the code, and now it's a legal pdf version or maybe on your kindle.
Avis Wong Question: when people have a set number of books they want to read in a year, are there parameters regarding the length and content of the book? In other words, do short stories or books with a considerable amount illustrated space count?
Leah Markum I'm doing 50 books this year (which in retrospect is far too little), and basically I think its up to the individual. My criteria is anything that's 1) fiction, and 2) long enough to be published individually (50+ pages). The only illustrated books I think that meet those criteria are comics/manga, and I don't count those.
Also, add that you can go from doing amazing, hilarious videos like this, to breaking my heart. I have just finished TFIOS, and now am reading LFA. I'm dying. But thank you so much :)
I forgot to add that your videos NEVER fail to make me smile and you and Hank are honestly two of my favourite people in the world. EVER. You're all the way up there with my mum, ans that person gave me life. x
John, you are probably the only person in the world that I "know" that I would legitimately like to give a hug. I am an aspiring author, filmmaker, and designer, and none of the awesome, nerdy stuff I've done in my community to decrease world suck would have happened if I didn't discover your videos. If I ever meet you, I'm going to shake your hand. It would be an honor enough. Keep making videos, and DFTBA.
Thank you so much for mentioning The Statistical Probability of Falling in Love at First Sight! Straight after I watched this video I looked it up, thought it sounded good and ordered it from amazon, and one afternoon later have already finished it. My new favourite book! :D
Dear John, You talking of the direct connection between those who like stuff and the stuff they like,in addition to the fact that you're an artist, more precisely a writer, not to mention you were the one who gave me the idea of becoming an editor leads us to the question;in the future will there such persons as editors?Do writers need them? I’d really appreciate if you answered, since i could do this with all my heart, still,i’m affraid of what the future might hold, and i need your help.Thank you
I love that the moment you read the title and said it was by a Nerdfighter, I had enough trust in you to go buy it. I'm very much looking forward to getting The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight on Monday
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is really good! So much more... thoughtful and insightful than I expected it to be. I love being surprised like that.
I nearly shrieked with joy when you announced the spoilery questions tumblr... thing. I just finished yesterday (JUST AFTER RUNNING OUT OF TISSUES IN MY ROOM, MIND YOU) and I've been internally screaming ever since. So, thank you.
I bought The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight on my kindle and I read it all today. I couldn't stop smiling after I finished it. Thank you for telling me about that book.
I think one of the great things about being a nerd is not necessarily that you do a lot of things well, but that the things you can do, or love to do, you hold onto and excel at for the sheer joy of those things.
aaah! finally, i just spent an hour rewatching a lot of vlogbrother videos just to find the one in wich he mentions the statistical probability of love at first sight because i wanted to read it but couldn't remember the title :D
I MET the author of The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight today ad OMG SHE'S LOVELY she mentioned you as well. Thank you for recommending her
Just casually watching the video's of a vlogbrothers playlist in the middle of the night with headphones on. Having to turn the volume up from Hanks low volume videos and instantly get my ears assaulted by the imbalanced and loud yet amazing sound that is Johns voice. Proceed to panic and fall over smashing my delicious apple into my armpit.
Oh wow. I went to the used book store the other day, and I picked up the book 'The Fault in Our Stars'. It was great. better yet, it had a sticker on it that read 'signed copy'. I thought that was wonderful, having a cheap book at the same price as the others be signed as well. I didn't anticipate how much I'd love your writing. Later, my friend went searching through my stuff and stumbled across the book, seeing the sticker.
I just finished reading TFiOS today so I thought I'd check out your vlog. So here I am watching this vid and you mention another book I had just recently read, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. I would have to agree with you, that book is " amazing, it's beautifully written, it's super romantic, but it's also extremely thoughtful. I was very blown away." But that's exactly how I feel about your book too. Couldn't have said it better myself.
I think you had some extra enthusiasm in todays video. Also, I think i just realized how much I really enjoy you in this video. I really enjoy you john. I knew this already. But. I never thought about it before. Okay ill stop now.
So, funny story, I was looking through tfios trying to find this mysterious "last word of acknowledgements" to get into the blog... I basically ended up re-reading the last few chapters trying desperately to figure out what it was. Suddenly, it hit me! In the acknowledgements... the list of thank-yous and such at the very very end after the story is over! D'oh! I face-palmed.
Gotta love the little smile at the end there as you realize, John, that you juuuuuust barely scraped through your final repetition of "overeager grammarians". That's why you're a hero.
The statistical probability of love at first sight is amazing. I read it a while back, completely unaware that a Nerdfighter had written it, and was blown away. It's so witty, honest about people and what people are actually like, and just beautifully written. If you haven't read it, you should give a try
I'm hoping that someday in the future when I will be considered a longtime nerdfighter, I will get a book published and John will read it.
Me too.
I'm not the only one. He should do a book club of nerd fighter written books.
Grace Milliman Same
How the book going?
How's the book going?
Watching vlogbrothers always gives me so much more hope for humanity.
You are definitely allowed to end a sentence in a preposition! It's a myth that you cannot! For instance, think of this sentence: What are you sitting on? It makes perfect logical sense and is not incorrect in the slightest. Fun fact!
Ok, Evan.
Ok, Evan :)
You also know how to change people's lives. You changed mine. Thank you so much for being who you are and thank you for helping me find who I am.
"Good Morning Hank It's valentines day, Nyeh"
He also knows how to write award-winning novels. just saying.
John, you can also not demolish a wall.
The vlogbrothers video that introduced me to the wonderful CGP Grey! Wow, I have been following both of these channels for a long-ass time.
John you are a great novelist, that's enough for me.
Sometimes, when I'm needing a pick-me-up, I find a good John vid. where his excitement excites me. Thank you for existing, John. I can always count on the Vlogbrothers to make me feel better when I can't do it myself.

I love the energy in every John Green RUclips video! I should probably watch 2 or 3 each morning to get me amped up. I might be able to cut back on caffeine by doing that.
"It's Valentine's Day. Eh."
Exactly how I feel.. and I'm in a lovely romantic relationship! Valentine's Day still doesn't phase me.
I looooved The Art of Fielding and I had forgotten I learned about it from this video.
So you don't have to do anything in particular to be a nerd fighter? Just watch videos? If so I am a nerd fighter.
Eeyup! Welcome aboard!
You have to decrease world suck. If you don't at least try to decrease world suck, then it's hard to call yourself a nerdfighter
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is such a great book. I absolutely loved it!
Okay so if people can buy hard copies of movies with download codes to put it on their computer, why can't we do that with books? Like go to a website or an app or something, punch in the code, and now it's a legal pdf version or maybe on your kindle.

I just read "The Statistical Probability..." at your recommendation, John, and I really enjoyed it.
"Hank, Friday is the day I will see you on."
I love it when one cool channel (vlogbrothers) recommends another cool channel (CGPgrey) that you already knew about and you feel so awesome :D
Julia Nunes! I'm so glad you mentioned her in your video! Her album is 59 on iTunes charts. Also, I love your videos.
You guys are amazing and hilarious, and one of the reasons I have recently started vlogging along with posting band videos. Keep it up!
I was so expecting him to end with "I'll see you around"
You have no idea how awesome it is to watch a novelist's RUclips channel and know (at least some) of your thoughts and voice. DFTBA!

"it was beautiful and made me feel all the things" word for word how I felt after reading TFIOS.
I love that the moment you read the title and said it was by a Nerdfighter, I had enough trust in you to go buy it. I'm very much looking forward to getting The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight on Monday
I'm doing John Green as my interest in my English presentation, because he is just so awesome, as are his books. DFTBA
I love Hank and John but I do miss this energy
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is really good! So much more... thoughtful and insightful than I expected it to be. I love being surprised like that.
I'm happy, I subscribed to cgp grey long before this video, possibly before I was a nerdfighter.
i'm from swindon!! hearing swindon town fc mentioned in a vlogbrothers video was the last thing i expected!!
I nearly shrieked with joy when you announced the spoilery questions tumblr... thing. I just finished yesterday (JUST AFTER RUNNING OUT OF TISSUES IN MY ROOM, MIND YOU) and I've been internally screaming ever since. So, thank you.
Exactly! The preposition thing is an evil up with which we do not have to put!
"IT MADE ME FEEL ALL THE THINGS."
Oh, John.
I bought The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight on my kindle and I read it all today. I couldn't stop smiling after I finished it. Thank you for telling me about that book.

John's videos are so much louder than Hank's...I think my ears just died of heartattacks.
"Good morning, Hank. It's Valentine's Day. Eh. So I was watching the television program 'Swamp People' the other day..." XD
You just blew my mind by informing me that things like Preposition and postposition even exist.
I've gone back and watched some old Brotherhood 2.0 videos I had favorited, and I miss the Evil Baby Orphanage.
I'm getting The Fault in our Stars for Christmas. Can't wait!!!! :)
I love CGPGrey! He's the reason I am a Nerdfighter!
The more I watch John and Hank, the more the description section is transformed into a doobly-do, I much better word by any standard.
Oh My God I read The Art of Fielding before John made this video and it was amazing!!!
I think you had some extra enthusiasm in todays video. Also, I think i just realized how much I really enjoy you in this video. I really enjoy you john. I knew this already. But. I never thought about it before. Okay ill stop now.

TFIOS made me cry like a baby...I adored it and have read it twice.
Plus i got a hanklerfish... which made my life.
The statistical probability of love at first sight is amazing. I read it a while back, completely unaware that a Nerdfighter had written it, and was blown away. It's so witty, honest about people and what people are actually like, and just beautifully written. If you haven't read it, you should give a try
Every time I watch a video I add a book to my reading list!
Never did I think that i would hear about my hometown's football team on a video from the Vlogbrothers lol!
I love CGP Grey!
