Thanks homie. I just got a 09 mazda 3 a week ago and i love this thing. Already have a stereo bought and an amp and sub. I plan on doing alot to it fr lol glad i found a page for an mazda 3 with a bunch of mods. Cause i dont know a thing about cars really. But ik i can do thit stuff for sure!
So weird that you just posted this video today. I swear I was driving home blasting my music and thought to myself man I should really install a sub in my second gen 3 sedan. Then I saw this video. Thanks
sry man i feel dumb for asking u this but im sting up a rlly huge rockford sub and i rlly dont want to mess things up my question is only about de ground cable were did it come from? i have a 2011 mazda 3 hatchback 2.5
the amp power on should have been connected to the blue wire on the back of the stereo called r e m or blue amp wire on the stereo its self so the amp only comes on when you turn the stereo on not the egnition otherwise if you dont want the stereo on the amp will come on anyway when you turn the key
Hello do you know i lot about it cuz i wanna connect a subwoofer in my 07 mazdaspeed 3 but it is stock radio, I want to know how it can be connected in my stock radio.
@@gtavlovers3354 on most car amps you have a high input aswell as left and right phono you connect your speaker wires from left and right speakers to the high power input on the amp so your stock radio as ither 2 channel or 4 channle 2 run all 4 door speakers you just need to tap from them to the high input on the amp
Super awesome video I just bought a Mazda 3 2010 and I have the sub amp and wiring kit. I was wondering if I need to buy a new radio if so what would you recommend?
I’m new to car audio, do you have any brand recommendations and specifically know what wire that is I’ll need? I can’t seem to find much out there for instructions on my car.
So we meet here again 😂. Nice Vid man will be helpful for the upcoming project on my mazda :) I wanna install a Raveland Subwoofer in it haha because i want more BASS!!!
hey man, whats your headunit tune like? i not long done an install in my partners car and its just not pumping how it should, everythings all wired up properly and the sub and amp are good as we’ve tested in other vehicles but i’ve been told its to do with the headunit
What I did was to keep the stock head unit and replaced all door speakers with JBL Club speakers, with an additional tweeter kit installed in the wing mirror bolt covers. For bass, I got a thin 12" active subwoofer, taped the vottom full of velcro and placed it under the passenger seat. I ran audio cable vampire clipped off the speaker wires behind the head unit and power through the passenger side firewall gromit, with remote power piggybacked from a fuse in the cabin fusebox. All the cables are run under the door threshold and poke out from near the seatbelt bolts. Ground is taken from a seat bolt. Finally, the stock head unit got paired up with a Bluetooth module that pretends to be a CD changer, and music is streamed in over Bluetooth from a cheap tablet. That's the only less-than-clean bit of the entire rig. All in all, I'm happy to have a hugely improved audio quality while keeping the car looking stock. That said, a new head unit would improve sound quality, but I want one that'll connect to the internet and run both Spotify and Maps so I can lose the tablet - those head units are just pretty hard to come by.
Hi Im about to try an 8nstall (fist time) but when I test the equipment ie amp and sub at home using a 12v plug adapter the audio works but amp goes into protect mode the moment too much bass kicks in? Any idea why this is will it still do this if its grounded in car?
Uhhhh if I had to guess... i've never tested car audio in a house 1. You're either overpowering the amp 2. Not grounding properly in a 12v plug 3. Something just seems hella' fishy about powering that stuff with a plug adapter
If anyone else is reading this, do NOT use a cheap AC to 12V adapter to run car amplifiers... Car amps usually require much more power than those can handle. You have to match your amplifier's power needs to your power source. For example, I built a "portable" high power sound system for outside use, and it required about about 600 watts of power. So I got a 700 watt 110V AC to 12V DC power supply and it runs just fine! You could in theory use that cheapo adapter to make sure everything turns on and is working, but you cannot turn the volume up. That why the amp goes into protect.
@@ColtonRichterI bought the EFX PA8BX amp wiring kit off Crutchfield. It came with power, ground, rca, remote, and accessorys but no speaker wire. Wasn't a problem I went and bought some 12 gauge speaker wire from the hardware store but you would think it should come with the kit. Seems that's how most kits are off Crutchfield besides the kits over $100😵even though they say the kit has everything you will need to wire up your system.
Damn i feel old, when i got my first car (2000) subs and amp install was a right of passage. Buying the biggest sub and amp you could fit. Headlights dim with the bass, capacitor installs. These days its rare if i hear a vehicle with base hitting let alone just loud music.

@ColtonRichter yes sir! Let's hope everything's as it should be and I don't mess anything up 😂 gonna put in the aftermarket stereo today.
Thank you!! I bought a replacement 3 and want to remove the wiring.
still coming to your videos for reference, great work man love the videos
Glad they can always be a help!

You should install a sub in your GenPu 3.
I said it, you have no choice.

Where did it come from? Your ground cable comes with your wiring kit.
I bolt them down the the rear seat mount.

How do I get the RCA cables into a stock 2008 stereo, there is nowhere to plug it in
You need a line out converter.
What a G my brother is doing this right now imma send him this video
I read minds
What kind of screen should I get for my Mazda ?

I may have bought 4 subs and they fit, however because of this video my car proceeds to shake a lot. Anyway thanks for the tutorial.
Haha cheers
How did you Connect your phone to the radio? Did you buy the Pioneer radio that comes with Aux?
Bluetooth
@@ColtonRichteralright thanks🙃
So if I have a stock radio unit then I would need a line output converter to plug in my rca cables?
Correct
Would you need a POC to connect the rcas to a factory head unit on a 08?
Can you connect a subwoofer Mazda 3 2008 stock radio?
Yes
@@ColtonRichter do you need anything else or can you just use the wiring kit?
@@Peter-jk9fx if you didn't find out yet, you would need to use line level converter.
hey man how do you retain climate control info on the little red lcd screen
I don't think you can, i'm not entirely sure
So i did everything but i dont know why my amp lights are not turning but theres voltage in it can someone help
I have an 09 mazdaspeed 3 w/ the factory Bose system, I assume the install would be fairly similar. Do you know of any differences?
You need some sort of splitter to wire in with the factory system

There's a few forum write ups on it
What aftermarket radio do you have?
Pioneer AVH 291-BT
what if you have a subwoofer setting on your radio and it’s turned off. will that cut power to your sub? i’m just trying to troubleshoot some things
No, your radio does not control your amp power.

Need to do this but need a amp and a rca converter don’t want to buy a aftermarket radio
Also need to bypass the Bose amp!

Audio sun is hella old school!
Damn! Didn't realize 😂
It's AudioBahn.
You said “basically” OVER 30x in the old video. Came here just to stay sane
the connectors you used suck and should only be temporary use only (remote wire) unless they have improved in the past 20 yrs
Please be aware that mazda is not a new 1 lol
I brought one back to life and they’re bad ass, especially if you turbo them
the amp is not straight
where did he ground it to?
Seat anchor.
remote wire runs from amp to the sub? hmm...
Amp to radio or any power signal.
