Your comments are true gems. Just realized how Valmiki does NOT put his judgement in any of the shlokas.. he just plainly narrates it. May be that's why it is "iti ha aasa"..
True. Sanjay Dixit of Jaipur dialogues says. Valmiki Ramayan is narration of facts as they happened but RamCharitManas of Tulsi Das is full of bhakti ras. Written by a great bhakt of Ram 🙏

Like the people of Ayodhya, we too want Ram to return and yet can't debate beyond a limit because his view has its own merit. In the end we must bow and accept his decision.

The narration of the actual Sanskrit verses gives a soothing feeling too.

मैं अपने आप को राम जी का परम भक्त मानता था। उनके लिए सम्पूर्ण रामायण (ब्रॉडवे स्टाइल रामलीला) की रचना भी की।
परन्तु अब आभास हुआ कि मैं तो अपने राम को जान ही नहीं पाया। तुलसीदास और अन्य पुरुषों द्वारा रचित साहित्य को ही सत्य मान बैठा।
जब मेरे जैसा सत्य में विश्वास करने वाला भी सत्य को नहीं जान पाया, तो एक सामान्य भक्त कैसे उसे जान पाएगा।
इसलिए मैंने ठाना है कि जितना हो सके, उतना प्रयास करूंगा कि ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा लोगों तक अपने नाट्यों द्वारा सत्य का प्रचार करूंगा।
इस कार्य में मुझे आपके जैसे लोगों का सहयोग आवश्यक है।
