I have two teachers like her but when they start teaching us choreography its strict and you better pick up the choreo fast and not forget it if you do you normally get taken out of that dance
I thought this would never happen, I've been trying to do these for months then i come to this video, followed the steps she said the best i could AND I FREAKING DID ONE! obviously it wasn't perfect but it's progress. I'm so happy right now!
Sameeee I'm a dancer, and my male teammate keeps bragging about how he can do a la secondes It gets on my nerves, so I decided to take this tutorial. With a few more weeks or months of practice, I should be able to get them
I’ve been trying to be able to do an a la seconde for so long and I’m so glad I can watch your videos and learn in depth of everything I need to focus on when doing that turn.
I've just turned 15 and have always had a passion for dance but never took it on but all of a sudden I have this urge to dance but the problem is I'm not flexible and I haven't got a dance teacher but I really want to become flexible to be able to do dances like contemporary and Lyrical e.t.c do you have any advice ?
i recommend pinterest it has good stretches for splits. and maybe follow online classes to start before joining a studio so you know the basics. btw you won't be professional in a year so it will take a lot of work but you will get there :)
If you want a stretching Routine for your hips I have one on my channel😭 I understand I started dance at 13 and I had to really build up my flexibility
I am also a dance teacher and I love watching your videos for inspo, and I have to say that I respect you so much for using your own body for demonstration instead of a student’s. Because of Covid I’ve had to film several tutorial type videos for my students and filming/editing myself dancing can be a bit emotionally traumatizing 😂. You have so much grace and confidence! Huge shout out to you friend!
Hi miss Auti!! I’m a dancer in Oklahoma and I have been dancing for 9 years! And if I’m honest I’m not the greatest at my A La Secondes and this video helps me an awful lot and I just want to thank you for helping me learn to get better and never give up!! Just so you know you have gained a new subscriber and multiple more likes!!
I just joined a new team after not dancing for about 2 years and they’re all good and having really good seconde turns, so now I’m over here trying to learn so I can fit in 😭
Hi! I’ve been trying to do this for a long time, When I saw this video. I immediately clicked on it, after listening to you. I was on my way to get my ‘a la seconde turn’ My float turn is also better! Thank you!
I always wanted to do a la secondes and I just learned this yesterday (idk if it’s the right form but I did it just without my arms kind of). And today I did two! Thank you soooo much!
Thank you! I danced when I was little but then I stopped and joined theatre. Next year we are going to do NEWSIES and it requires a lot of dancing so Im trying to get better during quarantine:)
I love you dancing, I'm from Indonesia, I've tried to dance it repeatedly in your old video and now I have a new video of you how excited I am to keep trying ... so that I can dance like you ..., I traditional dancer where I come from and I want to continue dancing so that I can be like you ..., you are like a dance teacher who is very motivating me ❤️❤️❤️
I live this channel so much!!! My mom wanted to sign me up for ballet but thought I would be a bit behind cuz Im 13 so I am training for September. I aspire to be a dancer because she thinks gymnastics is a waste as after level 9 I wont be going to the olympics so I have nothing training for but with dance big things can happen so thank you😊
I watched A LOT of these videos.. Some of them were helpful... I first did a la secodn when it clicked in my head what to do on the turning leg/that leg which is on floor. Basically you have to go to releve and on plie. That helped me so much. Hope it helps you too❤️
girl you seem so nice! I wanted to learn how to do second turns for quite a bit, I most definitely got influenced by dance moms lol! Your instructions were very clear. Thank you for the tutorial. I feel like I’m getting a bit better!😊😊
When she is in pile her leg is in first position and her foot is flat when she is in second her foot is in relive until she meets back in the pile spot it is also called spottng
⚠️ TIP ⚠️ When turning, in your prep count 1,2,3 then turn. And DO NOT think about ANYTHING while turning. with this tip I got 2 turns, 2 fouettés, and 2 a la secondes.
Usually when I'm having trouble with my supporting leg being bent, I try a few simple pirouettes where the only thing I foucus on is making sure my leg is straight. I don't worry about technique or spotting I just make sure my leg is straight. That way when I got used to it, and put all of the things together, I was able to feel if my leg was straight or not because I got used it being straight. Idk, this might work for you. It's what my old dance teacher had student do in the corner of the room if our turns were off It might effect your technique but in the long run it helped me quite a bit because I had to do it so many times😂
Hagen Marie05 aw girl thank you! 🤣 my leg use to be straight when I was in the studio but now being at home it’s gotten bent because I had no room so when I went to an open space I couldn’t get it straight! Arghhhh!! Imma try that tho!
omg, thank you so much, I discovered you yesterday and since yesterday, I watch a lot of your video and they helped me so much, now I can do a la second! , thanks!!!❤️
You are the best! Thank you for helping us dancers out!! You have no idea how important you've become in my life! :D I'm just in awe of your skills and patience and kindness! I even talk about you to my family and friends, I'm sooooooo inspired by you. Thank you, amazing dancer :P
The problem with me if I can’t get my leg up high enough and my dance teacher keeps on getting mad at me because I can’t do it I’ve been searching a ton of videos and this really help me out
Have you tried starting with your leg higher when you are in plié? It’s easier because from there you just open up. It’s been three months so I’m sure you’ve already figured something out, but if this helps, great!
I love your videos, they're always helpful. Do you think you could make a video on how to adjust small spaces to be able to practice? I'm a dancer and I want to improve at home but I dont have room to turn or jump because my bedroom is pretty small.
I'm a year late but... I also have a small house and I would recommend Mayne purchasing a dance mat (on amazon- some of them are pretty affordable) and going outside (grass would be idea- serves as a "cushion") Obviously, the weather doesn't always permit. Especially when there's snow on the ground...
I know you posted this awhile ago but good luck! I wanna try out for mine too but I saw the girls perform and they're crazy good. Anyways hope you make it :))
I’m excited to try I can kind of do a la seconde but when I do it I can’t spot I keep falling my legs aren’t really in place but probly round this year I might be going to dance class
question , so the foutte ( sorry if i spelled it wrong ) has a different prep bcz the leg is going to the outside and for the a la seconde it’s straight ?
ur so good at this- T_T my legs are too weak bruh- I lost all that leg strength over covid (I used to do competitive gymnastics- ik two different things but like- that leg strength is gone)
Can someone please tell me how to do the arm movements? Because when I change the arm positions I just look like im clapping. Btw I love this channel xx
I wish my dance teacher was like you. You’re so patient and positive! ILY
Same lmao. My teacher is not patient at ALL.

You could be a stunt double or a gymnastics coach after gymnastics.
I learned a a la seconde from this video! Thank you!
How much time did it take u
It took about 3 months to do fully
Oh ok bc I want to learn it in three months
Do we have to first leran the piroutes or we can just do it anyway
its better to do the pirouettes first so you get used to turning. Because I can do two proper pirouettes but can’t even do one a la seconde correct
I watched A LOT of these videos.. Some of them were helpful... I first did a la secodn when it clicked in my head what to do on the turning leg/that leg which is on floor. Basically you have to go to releve and on plie. That helped me so much. Hope it helps you too❤️

Thank you so much for this video! With these tips my a la secondes and turn technique has improved already! Thanks😃
Auti I have a question, what do you do with your feet to make the a la seconde keep going a bunch of times? 😂
My best advice is you should spot during turns and remember that during turns your heel has to go forward
When she is in pile her leg is in first position and her foot is flat when she is in second her foot is in relive until she meets back in the pile spot it is also called spottng
⚠️ TIP ⚠️
When turning, in your prep count 1,2,3 then turn. And DO NOT think about ANYTHING while turning. with this tip I got 2 turns, 2 fouettés, and 2 a la secondes.
