- This bike paint job has taken everything I had in the last three months. I started painting the landscape of the Rocky Mountains on the Specialized S-Works frame with just a pencil. Besides the grizzly bear on the fork, there are also pictures of the bald eagle next to the American flag on the frame. Everything is a reminiscence of a professional pilot who spent part of his life in America. The crashed plane on the bottom bracket is more a joke than reality. I wish all this had been finished in the spring, but due to my deteriorating health I was on the verge of giving up. With a lot of patience, this work of art has now come into being, expressing my way of drawing, my love of nature and my crude humour. Many thanks also go to Sönke Dols, who professionally assembled the bike. Together we filmed this dream bike build for you. Totally blown away by watching the video. The chilled-out music, the professional editing, and the attention to detail in Martin's pencil work is fantastic. Not forgetting Sönke, excellent build, nothing beats seeing a bike mechanic building up a bike/e-bike from a bare bike frame. Well done to you both.

I had this set up as a reminder yesterday and then I just heard my computer playing some interesting music in the office just now. I came in to see this playing. It looks amazing so far! 👍👍 I love the look of the rainbow titanium parts. I have to finish watching later as I'm going out to the bike trails right now.

Ein perfektes MTB mit nur einem Nachteil: es wäre viel zu Schade um wirklich damit im Gelände zu fahren. Ich hätte viel zu viel Angst ein Kratzer oder Steinschläge rein zu fahren. So würde es immer nur im Wohnzimmer stehen und ich könnte mich jeden Tag drüber freuen. Wirklich gelungen.

CCH wasn‘t really available. As there is the „Congress Centrum Hamburg‘, short CCH, and that would Havel led to confusion I would say. 🤷🏻♂️

6:28 leider ist die Gabelkrone viel zu weiß zur Flagge hin. Ansonsten sehr gelungen! Das Video ist überraschend angenehm zu schauen, ist man hier gar nicht gewohnt. Och nee, dieses hässliche, gelbe Maxxis Logo hätte nicht sein müssen.
Love your work, I’ve been following you for some time from Australia. I’m about to tackle painting a raw carbon frame. I’d like the logo to show the carbon so I will spray a clear primer and mask the letters. My question please, can I spray the BMW Santorini blue colour directly on to the black or do I need a lighter primer colour under the blue? I’m just concerned when I peel away the letters to reveal the carbon I might see the lighter primer colour show on the edge of the vinyl being removed and the paint coat will be too thick which might create a problem also when removing the letters. Your advice is greatly appreciated :)
The santorin blue needs a light grey primer.
stem should have beem black or the white also done by martin.
