    I finally can manage them perfectly after watching this video. You don't know how happy I am now because I have watched tons of
    videos of Chinese and Vietnamese people teaching how to pronounce /z/ and /c/ but I still found my pronunciation totally different from what I heard. Thank you so so much!

      Tongue position, for the Tongue position just be aware of your Tongue for the chur in Church or the position of the j in bonjour. That's the position for all the zh,ch,sh,r letters. The x,q,j the Tongue is touching the teeth. Focus on that first then the sound

      It is a bit easier if u know the différents between chì and qì.
      ì in chì is always read like e in "open".
      ì in qì is always read like ee in "meet".
      In other words, you can differentiate between ch and q via their following vocal sound.

    Thanks respectable Teacher Ting. Sounds like this pronunciation of "zh" in Chinese is placing between "j" and "ch" in English, right? But these pronunciations of "z" and "c" are really hard to learn in bot of Chinese and Japanese at the first time.
    For example these 孫子 and 我 在 北京。
    Best regards.

    unfortunately for us both the mouth position and the tongue position for SH CH ZH are different from similar sounds in English. English doesn't use rounded protruding lips for these sounds, but chinese does. English puts the tongue down below the front lower teeth for these, Chinese does not. Tongue goes up toward the roof of the mouth behind the alveolar ridge. Tongue position: completely different. Mouth position: also different!

    • @infinitefather
      @infinitefather Месяц назад

      practice the last sound, and then pair it with its respective first sound of either z or c. they both have the same ending sound you push out but the difference between the first sound of z and c is that z immediately goes into this zapping DZZ sound while the first part of c isn’t immediate and its delayed by a TSS before you use your vocal chords to TSS to the other part (idk how to spell it lol) but it’s like this:
      DZZ + the second sound = Z
      TSS (breathy not vocal chords)+the second sound (of course with vocal chords)= C
      hope that helps!
