My husband and I went whitewater rafting here twice back in 1992. Best time of our lives!! ACE whitewater company was fabulous!! Beautiful here for sure!! Highly recommend!
Route 19 and I-64 are RV- friendly, but many roads in the national park are not. It is a very hilly/winding road type of area. You definitely cannot take RVs on the scenic drive (Fayette Station Rd). A smaller, shorter RV would probably be fine to get to the Grandview visitor center/overlook but I don’t believe they have Rv-specific parking spots there. We took our RV and stayed off rt19 in Fayetteville. We just parked the trailer at the campground and took our F150 around the park.
Thanks so much for the detailed info! This will make our visit so much easier to navigate.
Very well done.
Thank you for this information. We were able to plan our whole day tomorrow visiting New River Gorge National Park. Saved hours of research!
Glad it was helpful! Have an amazing time in NRGNP!
