Nice guide! I appreciate this as my wife and I are taking our 35th anniversary vacation there Nov 12-16. We're camping in Luray and driving to trailheads every day and I can't wait!
That's a great spot to camp! Have an amazing time in Shenandoah! and Happy Anniversary :)
Great video and sums it up nicely. More people need to be aware of what a great place this park really is. Dark Hollow Falls/Rose River Falls is my favorite hike. And Luray Caverns!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, amazing park!!
Best tour video! How many days do you need to complete these 10 things?
Thank you! We were there for 3 1/2 days!

:D thank you!
Planning on going next weekend. Glad I watched this to learn about needing a permit to Hike Old Rag… Quite sad really, to hear you need a silly permit and pay money to enjoy a hike ?
Thanks for your comment, have a great hike! It is a bit frustrating, especially when many people are unaware of the permits required. There is a ranger station at the trailhead to purchase a permit if you don't get one in advance, and it seems like they don't sell out of Old Rag permits like they do for popular hikes in our western US parks. I just like to be on the safe side and have my permit secured before I arrive just in case. From a search and rescue standpoint, the permits make sense, and it is nice for popular hikes with permits to be less crowded with people. But it is disappointing for people that were excited and looking forward to a specific hike but miss out because they didn't get a permit.
