  • In October of 2021, Chloe and I took a trip down to America's newest National Park, the New River Gorge National Park in West Virginia. We were able to drive over the New River Gorge Bridge several times and see this mighty marvel from every perspective. We set up camp for a number of nights right next to the New River, deep within the gorge. We checked out the historic ghost town of Thurmond, hiked some epic trails, and took in some absolutely stunning views from all over the park.
And yes, I have been made aware that I pronounce many of the West Virginia words wrong..👍

    18:00
I live next to some railroad tracks in my town in WV and boy is it great to be woke up at 3am when the train conductor lays on the horn for 30 solid seconds at a time as he approaches the crossing.
I feel like he does it on purpose, knowing people are asleep and laughing about waking us up. I know he has to honk at each crossing but man, it's 3am and no one is on the road... you can just do a couple toots and be done, you don't have to wake up the whole town.

@@BRUjank you eventually get used to the sound of the trains going by but the horn blowing at 3am will still wake you up basically every time.

I usually do some level of pre planning before I travel places. I will watch RUclips and go on google maps to plan out interesting spots and drive times and such. So I generally will have an idea of where I am going beforehand.
I just zoom in on places using google maps and start clicking!
