This is frustrating . I’ve had to do the doubling the weft 3 times. Yiu didn’t explain how to keep the wefts from slipping apart . I’m using size 4 stitch zig zag like you said. Why is one weft slipping away from the other even though I’ve sewn them together?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble. You don't sew them directly on top you sew them side by side. Your middle finger and index finger should be able to hold the wefts down so they don't slip away.

Make sure you have it properly set up as well because it can cause the stitch to come out poorly
