Antelope system is so powerful, i own an Orion+ & Goliath, love the control panels. I never even cracked open any manual or needed a video, it's very intuitive and obvious how it works.......Only, i wish they'd add more features to the mixers, like solo and mute snap-shots particularly, that would be extremely useful ........

Hi..if I am recording MIDI on Cubase, I have to use the afx2daw to insert the FX from Antelope directly to Cubase right? Without that bridge, I can only rely on Cubase FX to modify my MIDI note. Too bad, I don't have thunderbolt connection at the the moment as the afx2daw only works on TB. :(
Hi, i'm not sure about cubase. Keep in mind that midi is not audio. AFX2daw allows you to pull up the plugin version in cubase. If you do not have the plugin version you should still be able to use the routing from the control panel to route the AFX in and out of cubase. Also it should work over usb and thunderbolt. Using AFX with USB will limit the number of channels being used.
thank you. this IS helpfull. the control panel has been a bit of a struggle, but the naming, and the routing is far more clear now. if you made the video to help at least one dude, you did. if anything : a bit of more complex routing could of been helpfull, but thanks to this video, i'll figure it out.. seriously, Antelope , if you are reading this : pay the guy for the video and put a link on link on your website. (funny thing : my first bandname was "de FIzz") cheers!

This may be a very dumb question but as I've found, it seems a lot of people easily get confused with this routing system, but to be able to hear what I'm recording (say some guitars) through BOTH my monitors AND headphones do they both need to be red? I think I've really confused myself on setting some stuff up so far. Point being a I recorded a guitar last night but then when I went to overdub I couldn't hear my guitar but I could hear the recorded guitar which made overdubbing a nightmare... thanks! this has been the only tutorial I've found that has remotely made any sense to me so far! cheers dude
Thank you ! While the interface might be confusing at first glance, generally the meters should not be in the red, unless you are going for that digital distortion overdrive/clipping sound when recording. As for as monitoring and headphones, those levels just show the output levels. I would suggest lowering volume of the recorded guitar. The goal is to have a balance so that everything can be heard.
@@FizzENT haha thanks for the reply dude, nooo I don’t mean red as in levels 😂 but the colours of the routing, HP1 HP2 / and the main monitors are in red, I’m solely on about my monitoring situation, levels are all good 🤓☺️ it’s the routing I’m getting a bit of confusion with, I did manage to get it to work how I needed it for my session but still want to be sure I understand how The routing works clearly, I really wish antelope would do a better job explaining it
@@sleepisbutadream ohhhh 😂 In that case, I normally use the software mixers for monitoring, From Mix 1 L/R to HP 1 and monitor. My Sources are plugged to Mix Ch 1. I noticed they did put some updated videos on their channel. Not sure if that makes sense with their newer interfaces.

Hey man, thx for the nice vid. I have the 5059 summing mixer too and I just got this interface but Im still trying to figure it out. I have connected the two units with db25 cables. But I can't figure it out in the control panel. For example, I have a kick and trying to route it in channel 1 on my 5059. How do I do that on the control panel?? Thanks in advance for the help! much appreciate it, Jess
Absolutely ! You will want to focus on the Line Out on the software patchbay. Wherever your kick is showing up at, you will want place it on the first channel of line out "1"

What abut using this as a Digital patch bay.. I.e Have a Synth and an outboard Reverb channel. So The keyboard in input 1 +2.. and Reverb 3+4 Can I route the synth into 3+4 and route 3+4 back into my daw?
Essentially this is a built in digital patchy ! Keep in mind the preamp is a physical connection and also Line out is a physically connection. Technically yes, you should be able to send a synth on line out, but to get it back in, it must be connected to a one of the preamp, careful to create a feedback loop, use send and return method.

@@NyakzOTSD I've read and seen lots of negative reviews, but I went against the grain. Been solid for me running on a Mac to say the least.
how do you do direct monitoring?
Using the digital patchbay. Take signal from pre-amp and drag into monitors 1,2. In other words you re going “from” pre-amp “to” monitor.
@@FizzENT sorry, but this is also for me the part I don’t understand. It’s not possible to route all the “real” inputs (preamps, adat and spdif, so 30 inputs) to only 2 channels of monitor A. Same problem for comp play, also 30 channels, but you can’t route allof tem to monitor A.
@@PeterReesvan it must go through the software mixer. You have a source which would be your microphone plugged in pre-amp. Take out of pre- amp to software mix 1. Take outputs of adat etc. all plugged into mix 1. Finally take the output of mix 1 plug it into monitor out
HMM....NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE...SOMETHING NEW....I BETTER STAY AWAY FROM IT GOT TOO MUCH GEAR, DIFFERENT DAWS AND VSTS ALREADY....JUST TOO MUCH STUFF LOL!
lol, the company has been around for a while now. They are slowly building their name. They make some awesome pro-audio gear.
