@@nicholasmarch3286technically yes you're right but personally I find panning matters in arrangement if you want your choruses to feel like choruses (ie bigger than verses) and so playing with things like panning can influence better arrangement decisions that help down the line
Groovy set-up. A lot of ways to sound proof/dampen a room for recording. Depending on the set-up. Thanks for the tips and tricks. Look forward to future videos.
Thank you 🙏 This is helping me to plan my sound treatment. Watching people building beautiful diffusers got me way too excited! I’ll start with absorption panels and then consider if it’s worth adding any diffusion later :)
If you don’t have the option of having your monitors further apart, swap their placement so that the tweeters are on the outside. That should help with the less than ideal positioning. Good stuff though man!
I really love this acoustic riff in the background, do you have this audio available elsewhere? I looked around on your Spotify but I couldn't find it. Thank you!
yeah the monitor placement is terrible. close together, close to the back, which is also window, but let's be reasonable here he isn't mixing, he's recording. they're essentially reference monitors.
Just a little recommendation to have a look at monitor speaker placements 😊
Whole reason I clicked the vid. These things are insanely close to each other damn
Felt like this video was a shopping list of buzz word gear more than how to set up for recording and monitoring 🙃
@@nathandecker278seriously lol 😂 and not an sm57 in sight.
Ya’ll fell for that one pretty hard. He clearly set it up this way to get comments.
As fuck kurwa... 😮😮😮
Look into speaker distance and placement.
Right now things can only be panned from center to center. Essentially mono.
doesn't that only matter when it's time to mix? if he's just writing/ recording some ideas it shouldn't make a difference?

Hi, how does the 2012 macbook holding up heavy duty recording task?
Theres no such thing as heavy duty recording just for vocals and guitars
My 2014 Mac holds up very well so his probably isn’t much different as far as recording goes
