    Is there a way to track inventory by the SKU number instead of within an individual listing? I created a couple different listings for a product that is universal for several brands. I’m using the separate listing to market them to the different customer base but Shopify maintains an inventory level for each listing individually. The items in the listings are technically the same so I would prefer to have the same SKU number and have equal inventory between the two listings. When one sells, the other inventory matches.

    What about if a product requires multiple non-sellable items to be stocked to fulfil the product? Is there a workflow for this type? All you have shown in this video is one product and variants of the product stock level.

    what's happens when a product or variant is "out of stock" is there an option to keep this product live and indexed in Google but so customers cannot add to cart and carry on buying it? e.g. seasonal "Christmas" products or variants? i like to keep those searchable, but just not able to buy all year round

    So I sell rolls of tape. I have varients of different sizes for the same roll of tape. 1 roll, 3 rolls or 5 rolls. If someone buys a 3 pack its cheaper than buying 3 individual rolls. But. all of these rolls come from the same inventory. For example I buy 50 rolls of tape at a time. How can I tell shopify that I have 50 rolls of a certain type of tape, and if someone buys 1 then inventory decreases by 1, but if someone buys a 3 pack, the total inventory would drop down by 3, rather than by 1 x 3 pack. Because each varient comes from the same box of tape, I need the entire count to change, not just the 3 pack. thanks!

    Hi Christian, thanks for the video. I have a question.... How would you tackle inventory and stock when operating a rental company. Example. The company hires out marquees to customers for events etc.
    When selling an item (not really selling, as we retain the asset but the customer gains access for a limited time), Shopify thinks the item is leaving our inventory and item will then be shown out of stock. How can we ensure that the inventory remains static, until an items is truly sold at the end of its product life cycle.
    I hope this all makes sense? Any help would be fantastic.

    • @Bitbranding
      @Bitbranding  4 года назад

      Interesting. For rentals I would check out something like BookThatApp apps.shopify.com/bookthatapp or any other Shopify app that will let you handle rentals.

    i don't like your cheesy thumbnails , it will bring you viewers but takes away your prestige

    • @Bitbranding
      @Bitbranding  Год назад +2

      I get that. But without a good thumbnail that draws in a click to watch, RUclips will not share it. You watched the video because it had value, but you wouldn't have found it without RUclips pushing from the great thumbnail. It's a constant battle, but hopefully you can get over the thumbnails to get the value you need out of the video. =) - Aaron
