One thing I hated on the Miyoo Mini Plus playing Pokemon GBA is how the colors are COLD, with a greenish tint. I am relieved to see that the V10 screen is warmer and probably more accurate color reproduction. I don't mind losing a bit of brightness to gain that color accuracy. I already ordered my V10 can't wait to get it
I got into this hobby earlier in the year and was so bummed when GBA games looked all wonky. I didn't like the shaders and have been patiently waiting for a cheap dedicated GBA player. Got mine last week and have been playing it non-stop!
The RGB20SX battery fits in my testing. The door is a bit tight but shuts with minimal gaps. That is 5000mah. Love my V10, its been my go to for gba. I opted to install rocknix mainly due to portmaster compatibility issues I had with arkos even after updating. a tplink USB Wifi dongle for like 10 bucks off amazon and a usb c to usb adapter lets you download box art, transfer games, retro achievements, and sync thing for transferring saves easier. Once you set it up you can plug and play the wifi adapter without having to mess with settings and it syncs your saves within 30 seconds or so.
Still hunting for the perfect device for my son who turns 5 next month. He loves Mario and I want him to experience it all from the start. Might go with the Miyoo Mini +.
@@DaveyG Thanks buddy. I currently have a RG35XXH and a RG556 so I thought about getting another H for him. He's autistic (like me) but with an added pinch of ADHD and already games on Xbox and his iPad. He's played a little on the H but I think the stock OS interface is underwhelming to him. He's got to go hunting for the games. He's heavily into tech like me and can breeze through the menus it's just the ADHD part of his brain can be more prominent and he'll get bored looking for something to play. I've seen videos of Onion OS and think that would be a good fit for him as it's seems quite intuitive. But as a Miyoo Mini Plus doesn't do Dreamcast (and he loves racing games) I thought maybe an RG40XXH with MuOS customised for him might be the way to go.
To me the huge bezels kinda mess up the fact that it has a native 3:2 screen for GBA because they are so big it still looks like you have black bars on the top and bottom. It has a pretty good price though.
0:19 miyoo mini + already feels so small on my hands and to my surprise this is even smaller, i wonder how if i can hold it to play super Metroid. if are going to mod it try find a battery that can fit the space. maybe is helps someone.
It's not smaller then a Miyoo Mini Plus, it's bigger. I know, I own both. It's slightly smaller height, but much wider, which makes it bigger in the end.
Your ad was so long I didn't even bother watching the damn video
Same
I just skipped through it

There is a blue light filter on Onion OS, for Miyoo Mini/Plus... Warm temperature to your liking. 😁

Hey that’s great, and the battery is a cool idea I’ll have to swap mine out with my 20SX
Miyoo mini +, rg35xx sp & powkiddy v10 are the best handhelds for 8-32 bit games. You can't go wrong with any of these.
I like that you pictured ape escape while talking about hardware restrictions 👍
I’m a fan of the V10 as well
me too, they did a lot right for a bit of cash.

Can't go wrong with mm+. My kid around the same age likes the rg28xx. It's little with little buttons and cute looking.
any of those would be good, also any mentioned in the video are pretty easy to use. Age 5 and some retro pokemon or mario games, can't go wrong!
agreed!

honestly I didn't notice them once I started playing.
Lol GBA literally has those bigass bezels too
Very cool little device
surprisingly good, and sits at a good price.
How's the battery life on it while playing gba?
Would love that DS 🫶🏻
I'm already subbed ...I'm widdelaly going to need that DS package haha
RG35xxSP FTW. Especially at the price rn for $45
$45 is pretty good 👍
Depends on what you are looking for in a device. This is perfect for GBA
Thanks for this video Davey.
I would like to buy one from Geekbuying but they don't sell this console.
no prob, and the video description has a link to it as well.
@@DaveyG Thank you
I need the DS and I will be happy if I get it
new to handhelds, is this one better then R36S spec wise ?
I've seen rumble motor mods for other Powkiddy devices. Is it possible with the v10?
