At age 46 I had to have a hysterectomy I was literally bleeding to death! I had no clue why I was looking like I was pregnant and every time I got my period it would last for day's and the be bleeding was so bad no pad could control it, I would have to stay at home for 10 days because I would bleed through everything in less then 5 minutes and not just normal blood huge blood clots. My mom was dieing with lung cancer and I kept putting going to the doctor off, I knew something was very wrong and was so scared whatever it was would hold me in the hospital and I knew my mother needed me as I was her care provider. I was so stupid please nobody ever wait if you know something isn't right with yourself!! I was so anemic by the time I did finally go after getting a period that lasted more then day 10 I was bleeding myself to death, I couldn't even stay awake i would sleep only get up to change the pads I lost 40 lbs because I wouldn't stay awake long enough to even eat. End up was I went to the ER in the middle of the night I was in surgery a few hours later and the doctor actually took a photo of it to show me, it was inside my uterus and weighed 7 lbs bigger then my babies at birth, I still got the photo and told my last daughter it's her twin 😏 we named it lol Plus, no more periods!! Negative side, instant menopause and hot flashes that's still going on six years later not as intense as before but hasn't let up either, I choosed not to go on any meds though and definitely any one can if your doctor wants to put you on estrogen.

I'm 39 (almost 40), no kids. My bad cramps were bad even when I was a teenager. I remember having to stay home from school sometimes with a heating pad. I've been thinking about having a hysterectomy. I've currently had my period for 3 full months (it has been longer before though) I'm so sick of this pain, all I can do is lay in bed with a heating pad sometimes... That all happened after the covid vaccine & that was about August 2021... But, lately I wonder if things are MAYBE starting to get back to the "normal" I had before with bad BAD cramps at least 2 days... I guess I'm afraid of having a hysterectomy... This was so well done!
The 2 medium sized fibroidswhich were discovered later this week had resulted a pressure on my bladder. At age 46 I had to have a hysterectomy I was literally bleeding to death! I had no clue why I was looking like I was pregnant and every time I got my period it would last for day's and the be bleeding was so bad no pad could control it, I would have to stay at home for 10 days because I would bleed through everything in less then 5 minutes and not just normal blood huge blood clots. My mom was dieing with lung cancer and I kept putting going to the doctor off, I knew something was very wrong and was so scared whatever it was would hold me in the hospital and I knew my mother needed me as I was her care provider. I was so stupid please nobody ever wait if you know something isn't right with yourself!! I was so anemic by the time I did finally go after getting a period that lasted more then day 10 I was bleeding myself to death, I couldn't even stay awake i would sleep only get up to change the pads I lost 40 lbs because I wouldn't stay awake long enough to even eat. End up was I went to the ER in the middle of the night I was in surgery a few hours later and the doctor actually took a photo of it to show me, it was inside my uterus and weighed 7 lbs bigger then my babies at birth, I still got the photo and told my last daughter it's her twin 😏 we named it lol
Plus, no more periods!!
Negative side, instant menopause and hot flashes that's still going on six years later not as intense as before but hasn't let up either, I choosed not to go on any meds though and definitely any one can if your doctor wants to put you on estrogen.

I'm 39 (almost 40), no kids.
My bad cramps were bad even when I was a teenager. I remember having to stay home from school sometimes with a heating pad.
I've been thinking about having a hysterectomy. I've currently had my period for 3 full months (it has been longer before though) I'm so sick of this pain, all I can do is lay in bed with a heating pad sometimes...
It's been a huge cycle of hell, when the pain finally slows down, I think maybe this is over, bit nope...

That all happened after the covid vaccine & that was about August 2021...
But, lately I wonder if things are MAYBE starting to get back to the "normal" I had before with bad BAD cramps at least 2 days...
I guess I'm afraid of having a hysterectomy...
There's plus of course, no period would be the main big reason for me.
(I'll be 40 in March) No kids, not in a relationship & I don't think having a child at my age or with my "issues" would be fair.
But, main issue would be not having to worry about periods.
That's kinda a huge thing, especially when I have such bad cramps & bleeding bad & for awhile sometimes...
I worry & my anxiety makes me worry more like "what if there's an accident..."
I hate having to worry more than I already do.
