I'm 31, this song used to make me cry when I was 16 years old. It's so beautiful. I still struggle with finding comfort in uncertainty. I wish this song was on spotify
Seriously, why is this song not more popular? I've loved this song for years and at some points I wasn't even able to find it on RUclips. It's not even on places like Spotify while most of The Fray's other songs are.
This song isn't on their NEWEST album. man, but I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad they put You Found Me on the radio, otherwise, I wouldn't really have a life. I LOVVVEEE THE FRAY!!!! With all my heart. Man, I need to see them in concert. Lol, sorry. Talking to myself.
The deciding factor month is here finally and it feels I am not equipped with the tools to sail through it. April blossomed in my arms but it passed before I could hold onto it. 🕊️
This song reminds me of myself when I'm lying in bed, and everything I couldn't think about during the day comes back and I just feel so uncertain about everything. Questions, choices, love, pain, life, the universe, everything.
I just found this song and it means so much to me now, it speaks of how uncertain you can be at times, like, Is it all going to work out in the end? is this love going to stay? Does he still really love me? Is loving enough to keep us together? all those thoughts of not knowing anything and being so uncertain of everything and being afraid. And you're saying that you're not giving up on it, and holding on, and you're hoping they'll hold on too...
I really love this song because it speaks directly to those of us filled with doubts about love. Falling in love and wondering if the person you love even has half that feeling towards you is an aggravating feeling. But once you jump in there's not really any turning back. Thousands of people are lonely and miserable. Not every person dies happily. Leaving those of us who feel that way to ask, "What is love for?" When it all comes crashing down, its pretty brutal. But we love and hope it holds.
the fray i consider so much better than even some of the greatest bands..i truly think they are one of the best bands ever..words really do matter..and they are able to express themselves equally as well with emotional music..talented musicians and songwriters..just wow
I don't neccesarily think it's depressing. More like the person who's singing the song (not Joe, but I guess like the "narrator" of the song) is making a promise to never give up. Kind of reminds me of the Holocaust. LOVE THE FRAY!!!! Thanks for posting!!!
... last place i want...this songs relates so well to our souls, fear of love,need of love, losing winning finding losing, and so it goes - holding on til there is nothing left " WOW what a song! Brilliant."
this song astounds me. its rare to find a song that relates perfectly to every small situation, every shakey relationship - and yet, it relates perfectly to life's biggest questions - war and philosophy. its simply amazing. this song defines this stage of my life better than i ever thought art could. i thought i was too complex for someone else to get it, but i forgot that there were people like the fray. i still stand astounded after 90 replays.
Wow! If you compare this to their other songs, it really sounds different! I can never get enough of The Fray and Isaac's voice. I don't know anything about singing but he sure goes from low to high! :D
Most people wont like this, untill their in this situation, I hater this song, but no my girlfriend, Will break up witheet me, I understand it, im gratefull someone is making such music.
i cant even believe 8 people would dislike this, at least hes not like "ima tie her up and set this house on fire".... there is not one song i dislike by the fray
@poopiecarlo don't be afraid, uncertainty will get to the hearts of even the bravest of heroes but what determines what will happen because is entirely in your control. Try to organize your feelings and hold on to things that make you feel safe, and let the people you love know that you are insecure don't lie to them.
it means taht ur uncertian abd bout to give up and like ur fighting on ur own but ur really not cause GOd is there with and for u...jsut talks bout how life gets to u to x] hope this helped somewht
Sometimes, my problem with The Fray is that their music is a little same-samey. Nice, easy to listen to, with good lyrics, but generally a very safe, formulaic kind of style that is good in small doses but lethally boring in large ones. But this song is absolutely nothing like that. It's lovely and subtle and, for me, really redeems the band and fights off my "same-samey" comment. So kudos to The Fray for this beauty.
So, me and my boyfriend had been together 6 months. He always made it about sex, so I was scared he was using me.. I was so uncertain of everything. Then one day, he dumped me, and told me he was just using me for sex and that he was bored. Maybe it came unexpected Maybe I'm left unprotected. This song, makes me cry, everytime.
No, I don't really think so. I mean, maybe thats ONE Of the reasons, but, I think that the Fray is too good for one reason in their songs. But anyway, that's just how they roll. lol. but who cares. We're here for a reason.
Are you sure that's Joe? It kinda sounds like a twisted Isaac. But now that I listen to it, it does sound like someone else! Who cares. The Fray is just too awesome.
Does anyone know a good song about having uncertain feelings in a relationship? Like, maybe this isn't the one? I like this one and "All At Once" by The Fray also, but I want to find other songs like this one.
@BlitzMoonlight09 Lyrically, it's good stuff. Compositionally, it's a bit trying on my nerves because it's similar mid-tempo, mellow soft rock. That's why I love this song so much. It's totally not like that. & I completely respect your opinion as well...The Fray is generally a decent band and those are pretty hard to find these days.
whenever you first listen to this song, you don't really like it because of Joe's voice. (Sorry Joe.) But then you listen to the lyrics and everything changes.

100%. It's crazy how it brings back memories.
Also 31, listening to this again and still relating!

Yup same,it was blocked for years for some reason
Sharing the sentiment! I go over this same YT channel each year to listen to this gem 'cause I can't find it elsewhere.
This song isn't on their NEWEST album.
man, but I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad they put You Found Me on the radio, otherwise, I wouldn't really have a life.

Finally found this. Been a few years. Wish it was on Spotify. Lovely song.

Exactly what I'm feeling during the Coronavirus pandemic...
Same here...
Same 💚 it'll be okay strangers
Even after 12 years. ❤️

Very fitting for these Covid-19 days.

"I'm holding on to the last, I'm holding on till there's nothing left.."
No. It's Joe King who mostly sings backing vocals, although he does sing main vocals on 'Heaven Forbid' and 'Rainy Zurich'
and this is basically my life story... Is it possible to cry from this song?
the fray is awesome!
Yes, indeed.
this song is just amazing :)
How have I never heard of this song?
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
I thought that was going to be something really dumb. But I love it!

Dont you love how his voice is louder than the music? when you are listening to him through earphones.
@rikloves9 i agree with you on the part about its deadly to be left behind. cant say ive ever been in love.
@poopiecarlo

@frederz6 Yeah i think it sound kinda incomplete too. I seems like it's missing something. Not only an ending but the music itself too.
it means taht ur uncertian abd bout to give up and like ur fighting on ur own but ur really not cause GOd is there with and for u...jsut talks bout how life gets to u to x] hope this helped somewht
i got it live for the past 4 days...
2023?
🤗
no, Joe King, he sings first voice only in Without Reason, It's For You, Where You Want To, Heaven Forbid, Uncertainty, Ungodly Hour and Dixie.
luv the fray altogether

I bought the CD, but sadly this track is not on it.
Who can provide an answer?
Does anyone know a good song about having uncertain feelings in a relationship? Like, maybe this isn't the one? I like this one and "All At Once" by The Fray also, but I want to find other songs like this one.
@SuperYanessa
It is. :)
@hollow151 great :)
is this really a fray song, cause it doesn't sound like Isaac and I don't have it on the album
@KissdaKittyKat yes, it is
Im reminded of The Doctor's situation with Gallifrey. Anyone else?
Yep, or maybe his relationship with Rose, if you really think about it.
Heather Michelle Ah, yes. The Lyrics state "Thousands were lost, maybe more" Makes me think of The Fall of Gallifrey
Try unsaid by the fray
trueluvs95 .... nicllyy said story of my life
still wondering what happened to the "4th."
@ElisManiac well im glad somebody is happy
@hollow151 I count 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 too. :)

@hollow151 I'd rather just listen to The Fray, I don't need RainyMood to enjoy the song more.
whenever you first listen to this song, you don't really like it because of Joe's voice. (Sorry Joe.)
But then you listen to the lyrics and everything changes.
