Love the walk way and how your plants help create that tropic vibe! 😍 Like you said, little by little every year. I am presently working on mine and have a ways to go.
** If you take some random fresh green leaves ( maybe a half blender full or so) and blend them up to a pasty mush then add water to to make a liquid out of it.. dump it in a bucket and add a bit more water.. strain some out and add it to an old fashion type watering can and sprinkle it over your plants.. underside of the leaves also.. and into the soil. this will add a protective barrier and also fertilze the plants.. It could be any green leaves from any plant in the yard..even from weeds.. you can keep the muck in a covered container and add more water and use it as a fertilizer. . it may get smelly the more it ferments..bury it in a corner somewhere, where it can composte back into the earth and make fresh if you prefer that..
