as a dm, i care about rules as much as my players do, you want to use **4** bonus attack on this turn with the weapon on your second hand? sure, by the way the enemies monk use 19 ki points to do do 20 unarmed strikes to you, using the flurry of blows feature, 1 ki points to stun you until next turn, i was granted 20 bonus attack for each my attack, that's 40d10+20x(4+4) damage, oh your character drop dead, 220 +160, no way you survived that
One time my friend was playing an "elf", but 3 sessions in she looked at her character sheet and went "oh my god wait I'm a half elf". Cut to our barbarian who hated elves yelling "well this changes my entire opinion of you!"
I've been wondering about this for awhile now: does Antrius actually know magic or not? I can't remember him ever casting a spell. Your average Bard would likely know Disguise Self. EDIT: I just remembered Antrius did use the Vicious Mockery cantrip once. Has he ever cast an actual spell though? EDIT 2: Antrius used Zone of Truth (a 2nd level spell) in the Battle of the Bards episode. Can anyone else think of other instances where he used spells or cantrips?
They did some Livestreams in which they played their characters. In those streams Antrius did cast some spells (especially noticeable "fireball"). Although I'm not sure if that counts as these streams aren't canon. On the other hand he did definitely cast "zone of truth" in the battle of the bards as a counter to zephyr, which is a second lvl spell I think.
I'm actually going to watch the full video to confirm the whole thing is scripted. And I don't just mean the dungeon master it seems like everyone's lines are scripted.
I swear being a dm is like a babysitter that either try their best to align kids with what to do or not, or just roll with whatever chaos things will happen
This happened to me in my custom campaign. I KNEW they'd do this to me, I just got the vibe my players would do that before the campaign started. So in my story I decided to create random portals they'd get sucked in every once in a while with different outcomes whenever they'd get out of them. It's a very handy Deux Ex Machina twist that made their character change make sense in the game.
