+Uchiha Avenger "i wonder what happens in the next episode of that show. is this ship real? OH MY GOD IT TOTALLY IS. lol memes hA. i love dying and being dead. Fanfics. Fanfics. Fanfics. RUclips RUclips RUclips. iNTERNET. IS. MY LIFE" hypnotist: wHAT TEH F U CK
+Uchiha Avenger Then again he did say you won't do what you normally wouldn't, so you might just say "no you'll just be freaked the fuck out if I do" :P Then again maybe that's your filter and it removes filters like alcohol, idk.
"I can't make you do anything you don't want to do." Well, I'm pretty sure FORGETTING MY NAME wasn't on the list of things I planned to do today, but okay.
+kriminkillr21 I'm no expert, but I think the point is that it has to be something you *consciously* wouldn't want to do. Naturally, you would neither want to forget your name nor...idk, kill a puppy. However, morally you would never want to kill a puppy and as for forgetting your name....you've probably never thought nor cared enough to even consider it. Maybe I'm completely wrong, but I think that's at least a little bit what it's like
I've never been "Professionally hypnotized" before, but I feel like I get how/why hypnotism works. I feel like it'd be similar to that confused grogginess you feel when you wake up, before you're fully conscious, maybe after not getting enough hours of sleep. Your consciousness hasn't caught up with your brain, so you're not actually thinking about what you're doing or what you're saying (I know I've woken up, turned my alarm off and gone back to sleep without remembering that I did so because I hadn't yet "Woken up" properly). All hypnotism is is, using the power of suggestion and sensory deprivation, putting the brain in that "Confused grogginess" state, making you not really think about your words or actions and "Letting yourself" do what the hypnotist tells you to. The reason why Greg couldn't remember his name was because he was still a little groggy, had he been more conscious (Or purposefully not wanting to be under the hypnotist's influence) he would've been able to remember fine.
+Viva "IMMATOONLINK" Reverie Ohai I would've never imagined to find you silly butt under a video like that one! Who knew you could be as deep as Celestia?
i was a total skeptic of hypnotism until a hypnotist came into the summer camp i worked in last summer. he only hypnotised the staff, obviously. he did the lemon test and the hands glued together test (i couldn't participate cuz i was the photographer lol) and then picked the best like 20 people that would be very receptive to hypnotism. he put them in that super deep state, then it was time for some fun. i think the first one was they were in a car on a very bumpy road, then they were in a hotel room watching tv flipping the channels from the funniest show they've ever seen to the saddest show they've ever seen (they all cried, i have photographic evidence of it) and to a puppy dying, then back to the funniest show. then they were given the most delicious ice cream they've ever had. then they went to a fancy restaurant where every time they heard the word "red" they thought the other person next to them farted the smelliest fart in the world, and then i had to leave to upload the photos so i didn't see the end but apparently it was a dance competition. but like knowing some of the people that went on stage, there's no way they would've like, cried in front of the whole camp. but it was a super fun show and the hypnotist made it so that the participants would wake up feeling like they have no worries or problems and would be super relaxed and stuff, and the people i talked to afterwards said they did feel like that. :)
Meh. I'm still sceptical of that show mankind of hypnotism, somehow managing to force people to do things, but I know using hypnosis to send someone into a sleepy state and to alter their state of consciousness to some degree is legit.
+Banana11 It's not mind control shit, It's basically giving you a suggestion, for example, hypnotizing someone to Forget something.. It is simply a suggestion..
It's less of forcing someone to do something and more of planting the idea into their mind that this thing, which will have to align with their personal morals for the brain to accept the suggestion, is a really good idea.
I "got" hypnotized at a professional show... and he basically whispers in your ear the entire time to just keep doing what he says.. so I remembered everything I did. I just did what he said to do. lol He tried to make me give a guy a lap dance though and I completely refused in front of the entire audience. After the show (I was picked out of the audience) my family was so insistent that I had been hypnotized and to this day I have a hard time convincing them that it was all fake. lol
+Callan Porter I feel like it is real, but when I saw my classmate with posthypnotic suggestion, that she could not move her hands, I did not know, what to think. anyway I am attending a workshop about hypnosis tommorow, so it should be interesting :D
I've been hypnotised, so I'd like to shed light on the subject a bit. I was a bit sceptical when I first went to do it but now I'm a complete believer. For me (because I'm aware it's different for everyone else) I could remember most of the experience. It more felt like I was getting suggested to do something rather than getting forced into it.
+Callan Porter Well, hypnotism and hypnotic states are real scientific phenomena, what isn't real is fictional "mind control" hypnosis. You can't control people to do things against their will or commit crimes, only suggest them to do certain things. Of course it's always best to stay skeptical until you experience it first hand and have the evidence.
In case anyone thinks hypnosis isn't real, it actually is. One of my relatives studied psychological behavior and hypnosis for 6 years in college and already has a good job for it. He's actually hypnotized me before and I can safely say that it is indeed REAL
+Edgy six Year old It doesn't work on some people. Take me for example since I have ADHD I can't focus as well as other people so I can't enter that trance
the thing is its real but its not what people think it is, therefore people dont beleive its real, if you got hyptotised i couldnt tell you to go and murder a bunch of people and i cant sway alittle clock infront of ur face to hypnotise you, which is what people think it is
That reminded me about the time I looked at a video about a haunted house I was going to. It got to the bit where it said about the people found out they were playing poker with the devil because the guy dropped a card and picked it up to find the man had goat legs. Then my computer glitched, a fucking weird computerised roar came out and it froze completely
+EstaliorSensei is that healthy for the liver though? I mean the body isn't actually drunk but since placebo is a thing...is the liver still pretending to be damaged?
+Cornelia Hanimann if you're drunk. you wouldn't really think about the liver damage actual alcohol causing. So there may not be any placebo liver damage.
+Cornelia Hanimann there's no such thing as placebo liver damage. Alcohol is a harsh poison that destroys the liver because that's where it is filtered out of the body.
I remember a hypnotist came to my school and did this to some volunteers. It's real because we are high school kids so we would probably be laughing on stage, but no, all their faces was serious. They were seriously hypnotized.
I think it's interesting that he says to both of them that the other is a "great hypnotic subject." He isn't talking to the person who's awake, he's indirectly planting the idea for the subject, making them more susceptible. Clever.
Everyone, don't worry, only a willing participant that shows and feels no resistance can be hypnotized. So, yes, pretty much everyone can be hypnotized, but only if you let it happen. Like for music, you can let it distract you, but only if you give into the music. So, stay conscientious (aware) of what is going on my friends.
My friend was a magician & hypnotized me a couple times its such a cool feeling; you feel like you're asleep but somehow still conscious, you don't feel paralyzed or anything, yet you just don't move until told to do; such a difficult feeling to describe. Was so surprised it worked because I was always such a skeptic about it. . Quite amazing how the mind works.
So, to clarify, hypnosis puts you in a state where your actions are almost involuntary and automatic? You don't have total control but your subconscious does?
THEY ARE LIKE MITCH AND SCOTT FROM PENTATONIX OMG AND MITCH'S NAME IS MITCH AND HE LOOKS JUST LIKE MITCH GREG AND MITCH ARE THE CLASSY VERSIONS OF SCOTT AND MITCH!! ANYBODY ELSE FEELING THIS WAY?
My grandmother has been hypnotised, and never wants to do it again. She was saying it was like you are in a room and no one can hear you.. and her body was moving against her will.
I'm always surprised by how skeptical people are of hypnosis. The only thing that's usually fake are hypnosis shows because it takes ten minutes of repeated phrases usually, which would be boring to watch. But UltraHypnosis has good hypnosis videos that hypnotize me.
I think I have experienced highway hypnosis once. it was such a weird experience. I want to study and learn the process of hypnosis it is so interesting.
I can actually do this a little when I was a kid i learnt how to make someone lift their hand while hypnotized , just a little bit. It worked on all my friends in school. When my friend who taught me this and did it on me I was freaking out. I went home and expected it to work on my brother but when he was supposed to enter the unconcious state he started laughing cuz he said i was saying something about fairies and blueberry pie. The fairy part was true but nothing about blueberry pie. I forgot how to do it but I'm still in touch with the friend that taught me this trick so ill ask her.
You can't enter hypnosis without conscious consent, so, no. You can't use hypnosis to get someone to tell you something they weren't going to tell you.
+Mt_Xing Are you really sure no one can be hypnotized without consent? Also, sometimes people really want to tell some secrets but conciously decide against it. I don't know much about hypnosis but I can imagine it could be possible in some situations.
+mikelor84 No because "hypnosis" is just a play of being in between sleep and awakeness. In this state as most people know, your memory system is being fucked up as it prepares to consolidate information as you sleep. Once consolidation is complete, it's easier to recall what you learned during the day.
Omg his laugh at the end!!!! No but for real.. I wouldn't mind trying to be hypnotized.. That looks like fun actually.. And relaxing.. As long as the hypnotist isn't making you jump leaps and bounds LOL and making a fool of u like in some other videos... Awesome video thanks for sharing
The one time I tried getting hypnotized (not by a professional), the guy told me to try to pull my hands apart (I had my fingers interlaced). I pulled them apart with no trouble at all. When we went back through again and he suggested that it was going to be even harder to do, I didn't do it. When he told me to wake again and we talked about it, I told him that I didn't pull them apart because I thought I wasn't supposed to; that I wanted the hypnosis to work and so I elected to leave them together. He told me that that is the way that our mind rationalizes our following of suggestions. That sounded extremely suspect to me. I do believe in hypnosis and I do believe that I could be hypnotized by a professional, I don't think that's what was happening that day. I think he was being opportunistic with my eagerness for it to work.
Hey guys. I like this video. You guys are awesome. But could you possibly put the subtitles in this video too? I'm partially deaf and couldn't get all of what's said.
"Joke" is what dicks say as an excuse for saying something horrible and completely irrelevant. I'm sorry but if you're gonna make a joke, please make sure that it's really funny.
Batman / hypnotic guy: 'Mitch, Think of a happy time in your life - think of that time' Greg : * gleefully points to his own face and mouths 'meee' 😂😂 4:07
The hypnotist doesn't get hypnotised because he is the one in control of it all, and the observer doesn't because he isn't letting himself; you have to be willing and relaxed in the right ways to be hypnotised. I know all this because my mum is a hypnotherapist.
type hypnosis test on youtube, look for some old bald guy with blue/green (mix of those colours) wall behind him, video lasts 5:37 mins.....it may change your opinion
'So while hypnosis is not a trance, or an altered state of consciousness like sleep, it does represent a state in which there is a certain proportion of activity in different parts of the brain - specifically inhibiting executive function, increasing suggestibility. Our waking state has several different 'sub-states' that we all recognize - we can be daydreaming, focusing on a specific task and filtering out extraneous information - and these are different from emotional states that can also color our brain function. Even while awake, our brains can be in different identifiable states that alter how we process information, and one of those states - hypnosis - involves a decrease in critical thinking and executive function.' - Steven Novella - Hear, hear.
`Why did the maker cut the video every time they go to sleep? Why can't you just not cut it when he tells them to sleep/relax with eyes closed. I kind of think this is a little set up.
For the same reason you never see full and real hypnosis in movies and shows, two reasons 1. The process is LONG, like up to two hours!!! And secondly the video could actually hypnotize an unsuspecting viewer, I being a person that bas been hypnotized before can say it is not a hoax
Hypnotist: tell me what you imagine in your head
Greg: I'm whale watching in Iceland.
Typical Greg.
+H. Le humpback whale, that's greg right there

Why does he say "Zed" for the first sobriety test and "Zee" for the second? Did his dialect change during hypnosis?
+Lucas Scanna Maybe he's secretly....AMERICAN!
+Lucas Scanna In Canada, we pronounce it "Zed".
+Kidd Lorenz For real? I thought that was just us Brits... hooray we have friends. :P
+Phil Shaw Australia does it too ;(

Henrik Larsson Yeah, that's just a common misconception.
Ok WTF. When he snapped his fingers, my laptop froze and my sound stopped working.

Are you sure *You* didn't freeze?

He is trying to sound relaxing, sounding like batman didn't help I guess
+DobbyThe FreeElf Your sexual partners are hypnotists?
ICIWMB I don't have sexual partners 😂
+DobbyThe FreeElf 3:52

Everyone, don't worry, only a willing participant that shows and feels no resistance can be hypnotized. So, yes, pretty much everyone can be hypnotized, but only if you let it happen. Mitch and Greg's reactions while the other is hypnotized are everything! XD
4:08 Hypnotist: Remember a happy time in your life. Greg: Me! 😂
Mitch imitating Gregs sitting position is killer😂😂
You normally can't laugh or anything when you're hypnotized...
So, to clarify, hypnosis puts you in a state where your actions are almost involuntary and automatic? You don't have total control but your subconscious does?
Q yes I think that's right
Q Absolutely correct
Nothing is involuntary. A hypnotist can do nothing more but offer suggestions.
I WENT TO ONE OF THIS GUYS SHOWS WHILE I WAS ON A CARNIVAL CRUISE!! I KNEW I RECOGNIZED THE VOICE!!! HE WAS HILARIOUS!!!
Are they a couple????

Was this 100% legit and genuine? I wanna experience this myself once.
Yeah. His videos work real good. Not bullshitting either.
+MrJoBilly Its simply a play on the state between dreaming and awake. In that transition state, you are very dumb.
+MrJoBilly Hypnosis is real, although if you are nervous and don't really want to get hypnotized it won't work.
+MrJoBilly As long as I don't get a hypnotist that laughs like that one!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
the hypnotic (hppe thats a word) guy sounds like the guy that introduces new movies for the theater
just need him to raise his voice a little
even his laugh is hypnotizing
Each other's reaction when one of you was under hypnosis was priceless!!

Hypnosis can make you high as well, so you won't need weed.
+Fat pedo 123 well there's some people who smoke weed for medical reasons, just need permission from a doctor lol
weed costs money
Hypntonizing is kinda pretty cool
This was so amazing!
And once on a talent show they couldn't show the hypnotist hypnotizing 😂😂
I can actually do this a little when I was a kid i learnt how to make someone lift their hand while hypnotized , just a little bit. It worked on all my friends in school. When my friend who taught me this and did it on me I was freaking out. I went home and expected it to work on my brother but when he was supposed to enter the unconcious state he started laughing cuz he said i was saying something about fairies and blueberry pie. The fairy part was true but nothing about blueberry pie. I forgot how to do it but I'm still in touch with the friend that taught me this trick so ill ask her.
I got an ad for hypnotism before this video.
+AsapTOUGHT can somebody be persuaded, under hypnosis, to reveal his secrets?
.....so what are you gonna do tomorrow?
Once consolidation is complete, it's easier to recall what you learned during the day.
you guys are so cute! lol thanks for showing us your vulnerable side, very brave!!
R they a couple?!1
+El Jefe yep
Yea
Yes, they're
Wait Greg and Mitch are a couple?!
+9supergreen yep
Omg his laugh at the end!!!! No but for real.. I wouldn't mind trying to be hypnotized.. That looks like fun actually.. And relaxing.. As long as the hypnotist isn't making you jump leaps and bounds LOL and making a fool of u like in some other videos... Awesome video thanks for sharing
Does the red head guy remind anyone else of Scott Hoying??
yess! when I first watched superfruit I thought "is that the guy from asap science?"
AYYYYY PENTAHOLICS
Savannah Howard they deadass look like bootleg scott and mitch
Lol, that little "ME!" that Greg does at 4:10
This was very interesting. Not sure if I believe it all, but I guess it's one of those you should experience for yourself.
I want to be hypnotized but I'm terrified of doing it!!!
I know this isn't related to the video, but you guys are adorable! I love your videos.
Hey guys. I like this video. You guys are awesome. But could you possibly put the subtitles in this video too? I'm partially deaf and couldn't get all of what's said.
rip
"Rip" Wtf!? why
Emma Gustafsson It's a joke.. fortunately. :D
I don't get the joke. What is it about asking someone to put subtitles on a video for someone who is partially deaf funny?
"Joke" is what dicks say as an excuse for saying something horrible and completely irrelevant. I'm sorry but if you're gonna make a joke, please make sure that it's really funny.
Greg's facial expressions during Mitch's hypnosis are the best! xD
that laugh at the end made me lose my shit lol
"What do you see? "
"...His POWER LEVELS ARE INCREASING"

Batman / hypnotic guy: 'Mitch, Think of a happy time in your life - think of that time'
Greg : * gleefully points to his own face and mouths 'meee' 😂😂 4:07
Is there an uncut version?
No, then you could be hypnotised as well, and that could go wrong.
+Amy Goode Then why don't the hypnotist or the observer get hypnotized, too? I doubt it works like that haha
The hypnotist doesn't get hypnotised because he is the one in control of it all, and the observer doesn't because he isn't letting himself; you have to be willing and relaxed in the right ways to be hypnotised.
I know all this because my mum is a hypnotherapist.
+Amy Goode Sooo why would an uncut version hypnotize me?
It may not hypnotise you, but it could be potentially dangerous in the way it could be used.
Have a good day. :)
Mitches happiest time was so cute! :)
I'm sorry I can't believe this. literally. my brain refuses to accept this as not fake
same
Wassim Alhajomar ye this has to be fake

Kyla Puyat yes
The hypnotist is so outgoing I love it
who else came from the will this hypnotize you
'So while hypnosis is not a trance, or an altered state of consciousness like sleep, it does represent a state in which there is a certain proportion of activity in different parts of the brain - specifically inhibiting executive function, increasing suggestibility.
They look so similar to scott and mitch its kinda scary
for someone who speaks so quietly, he laughs so loud. I was scrambling adjusting my phone volume back and forth because everyone is asleep.
5:20 a foreign engine tryna start
Wasabi Singh OmG 😂😂😂
These guys, are a helluva lot more flamboyant then i originally believed
`Why did the maker cut the video every time they go to sleep? Why can't you just not cut it when he tells them to sleep/relax with eyes closed. I kind of think this is a little set up.
For the same reason you never see full and real hypnosis in movies and shows, two reasons 1. The process is LONG, like up to two hours!!! And secondly the video could actually hypnotize an unsuspecting viewer, I being a person that bas been hypnotized before can say it is not a hoax
Like what the other person said. The viewer (you) has a chance to be hypnotized, so they cut out the beginning and ending.
its illegal to show a involuntary hypnosis
that was amazing!! aww gregg truly loves wales
