Doing some stuff a swap on the 1970 fury with the 3rd Gen hemi swap. This things should be a sweet working car when the 4:10 sure grip gets installed.

Thanks for sharing your experience on this swap. Looking to do one for my Aspen RT. Nice install work. Good job on the brackets/mounts.
My dad had a 1970 Chrysler Imperial with a 440 and positrac rearend and that car floated and was hard to get stuck. Love those 70 era cars. They were land yachts with lots of metal though. :-)
i like them too
I want to do this my '71 Fury w/ 440 eventually. Just have to purchase the JW bellhousing and find a good a518 core.
looking to do the same to my 46rh that I am doing a carb swap on. I already have the three pin plug on mine so my question is, do i just cut the three wires all the back as far as I can and run the center to power and then the other two to the switches? Ive read the instructions but just want to make sure I am understanding that correctly. thanks and great video
Yep. Middle key on power. Other to are lock up and over switches to ground
👍👍 I thought the diesel 518/46rh, deletes park or neutral to accomplish lock up?.even with the correct pump/stator and valve.. Thought I seen that on John Cope's channel...anyway...cool car👍👍
on this setup no. the 46rh is from a 94-95 1500 pickup
How did you hook the speedometer up from electrical to mechanical? Thank you
Use the speedo unit front he 727 in the 46rh
Love to put one behind my 440
was a pretty easy job
You will need an adapter to bolt the trans on to a big block
Get Ultrabell and it will bolt to B/RB.
Did you wire the power on the vacuum switch to Normally Closed (NC) or Normally Open (NO)...the two drawings you showed are different. I would think it needs to go to the NO position
I can’t remember off the top of my head I would have to look it up
I would also like to know, I'm also thinking normally open.
Did you have to use bigger cooler lines or the same as the 727?
You can use the same lines. The 46rh is just a 727 with lock up and overdrive
How did you get the 46rh to bolt to the hemi and flywheel?
Bolts right one with a fly plate
where is your shop, I have a 71 fury and would like to convert it over, I have no place or room. How to get in touch with you, your shop info
Mine in Calgary. But I no longer do automotive repairs. We just do engine machining. The projects you see on the channel are my stuff or friends of mine I am helping out.
I thought the 46rh was ALL hydraulic, and didnt need any switches..??
1-3 is and over drive and lock up in a electric over hyd
@@CUTTERUPROB any chance you could talk about that specific topic in more depth, I want to put a 46rh I got from my junk 93 jeep that was wrecked and spun rod into my 87 ramcharger. I can't seem to find any detailed explanation of how the od works.
@@MegaMarclar when you sau how it works , how to hoook it up or how it works in the trans ?
@@CUTTERUPROB how it is all hooked up, and a summary of what does what.. would be the only video on RUclips that goes Indepth
I wonder how difficult this would be to do to my 84 ramcharger 4x4 ..that 727 is killing my wallet with gas prices
I have done a couple in pickups they work great for the over drive and lock up
Thank you I will definitely start saving for this 👍
It would only delete neutral ,duh..lol.. but anyway
i will have to watch more of his video's
