Love my SR38. I've had mine quite awhile and it's been nothing short of reliable and accurate. You can spend more on a revolver, but if you're looking for a workhorse of a revolver at a fair value, you would be hard pressed to find a better revolver than the SAR SR38.
@@aaamericanlocksmithincstev2789 It's very late reply but they still do produce. I've been told that they are being sold so fast in USA so it's hard to find. Super review! This is a great firearm for a new shooter or experienced. I took a chance and purchased one about 4 months ago and it's my favorite gun to shoot now. I can't stress that shooting 38 special has almost zero recoil! It handles 357 so well my wife enjoys shooting it. And its unbelievably accurate! Keep the awesome reviews coming!!
Old post...I know...sorry just found this. I also have a K-2 in 45acp... LOVE...LOVE, it. Its a hand full, but I have bear mitts. a few thousand rounds through it with ZERO issues.
I have the 2.5 inch, with fixed sights 1. Good shooter, good grip, excellent trigger 2. It does have cylinder play, same as you have shown in the video... not so little play! 3. My firing pin broke after some 200 rounds. Luckily I could replace it with a SW pin, because the gun is very similar to a SW586/686. No Sarsilmaz spare parts available in Italy (where I reside) and no support whatsoever from their customer service in Turkey. Hope the situation is better in the USA
Its good to see you move onto other types of firearms. I got tired of seeing glock vs this sig vs that. There are many other firearms that deserves to be put out there. But as we can see so many ppl are blinded by brands that they dont give a chance to other brands. Thank you.

Great review, Sootch! .357 rules! I have a 1965 S&W Model 28, 4 inch revolver that my dad bought new in '65 and it has well over 8000 rounds through it! It's as tight as the day dad bought it and I grew up shooting it! A great and VERY accurate gun out to 100 yards! I also have a Taurus Cia .357, 2 inch and a Taurus Stainless 2 inch 38 Spec! All of them are very accurate as long as I do my part! The only problem I now have is I have contracted a rare bone/cartilage disease that eats the cartilage from the joints and I've had to go down in spring weight as I can't do double action with the Tauruses without going down in spring weight! I hope that Wolff Springs will get a set of springs going to adjust the Sarsilmaz SR 38 down so that I can shoot it double action! After your review, I AM going to buy one, though mine will be stainless as I plan to get a 2.5 inch so that I can conceal it and I have a sweat problem and have a lot of trouble keeping ahead of the rust on the blued guns I carry concealed!!! They seem to be good, solid revolvers and the price is attractive! My wife constantly asks why I need another gun! Well, as you know, a man can NEVER have enough guns! LOL! Also, I live in Wyoming and I just saw a report that says that Wyomingites have more guns than ANY other State, for its residents! We do like our guns and shooting, here! Sure would like to see a review of the S&W TRR8/R8 if that ever becomes a possibility. I guarantee that it won't be leaving your collection afterwards! Keep up the good work my friend.
Its clearly a smith inspired design. It looks pretty much just like the dimensions of my 686 with a cheaper finish. The taurus 66 in blue looks basically exactly like this. The price of these is incredible though.

Couple of seconds in, clear 360 of the gun, this is a Smith clone. Externally, anyway. I do quite like that, and I'm sure its price is better than what we have here. Would I prefer a Smith, or a Colt, or a Ruger? Yes. Would my bank account prefer this? Yes again.
Playsportfun You’re sadly right, I’ve had to send revolvers back for binding and seizing due to parts being out of spec. As a rule, I won’t buy a Smith or Ruger made after the early 90s.
Interesting review. I would like to check one of these out. I own 10 S&W revolvers and that looks like a copy of the S&W revolvers. That also looks like an LPA adjustable sight or at least a copy of it. I wonder if S&W parts might work on it.

But these things were not needed for it to be a good gun. Just personal preferences.

Review some Charter Arms revolvers. I think they are the best they have ever been, right now. The octagonal polygonal rifling makes the little 2" barrels on the Charter Arms super accurate.
Too bad that there isn't a dealer of this brand to be found across SE Virginia. Some of the local shop personnel have never heard of Sarsilmaz. Too bad that this gun isn't offered with a non-lug barrel.
Problem is that our 2A is being attacked from many angles and unfortunately it has become politicisized. And if we want to continue to enjoy these reviews we'll have to make sure that we elect people that will actually defend and uphold the constitution in its entirety.
Daniel Cruz I will not rest until the tyrannical control of the government make it legal to own or modify my firearms as I see fit, full auto, short barrels if we don’t get these freedoms legal for all citizens to own the only the criminals will armed with full auto. Any American not fighting against the full freedom of any and all fire arms is not a real American and should be ashamed of them selves. Don’t be a part 2nd amendment supporter.
Do you think you can do a review on the H&R Excel Auto 18" barrel shotgun. It is made by the same company that produced your revolver and it is a very high quality gun for the price. So far I have only found a couple of reviews on it and was hoping you could do something about this. Keep up the great gun reviews even if people don't like the country of origin.
I don't understand how people can complain about a privately owned firm manufacturing firearms but not say a word about the fact that the US government gives 26 billion dollars to the Turkish government that supports ISIL. How they can reconcile that is beyond me.
Generally speaking... No one actually ersearches anything ever. They purely listen to the "news" (they're just talk show channels now..) or FB posts. Rarely do folks research.
thanks for sharing, it would be interesting, especially with obscure firearms and or manufactures what type of service and parts availability they have. Otherwise good review as always.
The cylinder latch and the main spring look very much like S&W as does the frame. I wonder is there is some parts compatibility. That sure would help with the whole after market issue.
This looks like one of the best revolver choices I've seen in a while. Has a nice rugged para-military design. That matted finish looks like a lot less bother than my old blued guns. I like the 158gn xtp .38 spl as a effective easy manageable defensive ammo(might even be a good choice for my Taurus M85 snub-nose if it is still manageable in a small revolver).

The windicator is just a arminius revolver, zamac frame like a Jennings/Raven/hipoint.
Sootch for President 2024
Lol! Trump would look like a pussy cat!
Lol! Yes sir!
I would definitely vote for him. He would pass the national carry bill. A ak47 in every car...thats how you stop all the mass shootings. Sootch for President Now....why wait.
Great comment at the end and i agree. Where does it end?
I saw one of these in a LGS just yesterday and I thought it was a Ruger!
mruler360 That's what I thought when I saw the thumbnail.
Joe Brown
The left side was down and I couldn't see the cylinder release.
Looks a LOT more like a S&W than any Ruger. Almost identical to a S&W 686 actually
mruler360 looks more like a S&W.
Big boy,me,too, but look at that thing .it's know GP 100. You get what you pay for.
I usually carry .38 shorts. No recoil, featherlight 642. 5 shots just over a pound. No hammer. Good on paper at 50 yards.
Great looking gun
Thanks for stopping by Joe!
How does this revolver compare to the EAA Windicator in 357 and 4"? there are pretty much the same price point and heavy revolvers.
Review them all,Turkish,Confederate,Nazi,Soviet, whatever!Long Live the Republic!

Review some Charter Arms revolvers. I think they are the best they have ever been, right now. The octagonal polygonal rifling makes the little 2" barrels on the Charter Arms super accurate.
Notice no stupid, "Hillary Hole" like on all the newer S&W revolvers... Looks good!
B.W. Light the gun probably also went through a quality control phase as well. Can't say the same about S&W.
Too bad that there isn't a dealer of this brand to be found across SE Virginia. Some of the local shop personnel have never heard of Sarsilmaz. Too bad that this gun isn't offered with a non-lug barrel.
I loved your words at the end. Keep your political grandstanding off of this page this is for the love of guns!
Thanks Jack!
Yeah last time I checked this isn't a political commentary channel but a gun/accessories review one. Its a privately owned company anyways.
Yeah if you are not aware of what’s going on in the USA you will be a slave one day.
Agreed. That's an excellent point my friend.
Not to mention supplying arms to Mexican drug cartels.
Generally speaking... No one actually ersearches anything ever.
They purely listen to the "news" (they're just talk show channels now..) or FB posts.
Rarely do folks research.

That was an awesome review Mr Sootch, that gun reminds me alot of my taurus 605 357 magnum.
thanks for sharing, it would be interesting, especially with obscure firearms and or manufactures what type of service and parts availability they have. Otherwise good review as always.
Thanks for watching
The cylinder latch and the main spring look very much like S&W as does the frame. I wonder is there is some parts compatibility. That sure would help with the whole after market issue.
It's not like Turkey invaded Iraq or anything. Talk about terrorist nations!
The most important thing is the 2nd Amendment. Not the political subtafuge designed to undermine the 2nd Amendment..
I like its classic look of a S&W 686, nice review Sootch!
looks just like a Smith and Wesson
