Hello!!! How are you doing today, please pardon me for intruding into your privacy but I just wanted to know if you’re a fan ? Have a great day… Stay Safe!
Pretty much in the old days every member of a family would play at least one instrument or at least sing. It is still common all over the country. I have been all around Ireland both the Republic and Northern Ireland. Most tourists do not go to Northern Ireland. If you go, there are good backpacker Hostels near Queens University (you do not need to actually be a hiker to stay in these hostels.) They are affordable and you can cook in the kitchen to save $$$ Visit Kelly's Cellars in Belfast near the clock tower in a small lane. Best wishes!

Irishmen sure got a lively, merry spirit, especially after a couple pints, havn't meet anyone i'd say wasn't decent so far. Us Swedes here are more reserved i think, they know how to drink too, though, they don't get merry and sociable by the brew, rather just obnoxious and piss-stupor.
i 'really' like this tunem i must have played this video about 30 times in the last 2 days. what a fantastic sound, tips hat to all the musicians there. thank you
reminds me of the jam session we used to have at the feed store on Saturday nights in small town Texas.....folks show up, sit down on a stack of feed sacks, open up their case, tune a bit, and jump in.....best music in the world, played for the joy of the music and the companion beside you....learned my best licks at those jams...
I love this..............it's at a low level............how I love this music................I want to crawl back to where I came from........don't you.

First time I've seen that - English concertina & harmonica together. Unbelievable! I play the spoons and there are 2 of them also but something tells me it's not on the same level.
I think it must be something in my DNA I have strong roots in Ireland from both sides behind Mum and Dad, can't stop listening to Irish music, love it so lifting.
Great clip! Excellent tempo and blending of instruments. It would be interesting to hear a solo from the gentleman on the harmonica and concertina at the same time.

I was excited to see the Hohner button accordion; my father played that exact same one all his life. It sits on my self because no one in the family plays accordion anymore.
greetings Victoria - only now seeing your post , 10 years after the recording was made ! Yes the accordion that I am playing is a 1930's model, it came from the US apparently, glad you enjoyed the music - as I do your art work

That dude playing harmonica and concertina at same time!? Holy shit serious talent! ☘💚👍
Holy smokes…. That’d be insanely difficult.
the stamina alone before the immense talent of both instruments
Was thinking the same. That really is good.

Looking for "Tosie" (Padraig Lynch) a brilliant bones player from Ennis, Co Clare, 65/70 years old... Does he still alive somewhere ?

I believe the names of these tunes are Cooley's reel, the Wise Maid, and the Bucks of Oranmore.
not familiar with the last one but cooleys and wise maid are right
Patrice OKennedy
@@matthewshepherd5390 The Bucks of Oranmore is the third tune.🌎
Thanks! Any other clips this good on youtube?
That man playing an English concertina AND a harmonica at the same time! Chromatic and Diatonic at once, ow, my brain!
That is the incomparable Rick Epping, a resident of Sligo and harmonica innovator.
First time I've seen that - English concertina & harmonica together. Unbelievable!
I play the spoons and there are 2 of them also but something tells me it's not on the same level.

I think the same happens to me, with strong Irish DNA. English Mum, Irish Dad, I absolutely hooked by Gaelic music,

My DNA is from everywhere but Ireland and I listen to this constantly. It’s just really good music. Puts you in a trance almost
