I'm aware that there's still several HECU units are like Shephard; didn't attack Black Mesa staffs because they didn't receive the order. But as for Shephard, as the story progress, he's aware about the orders but he choose to ignore it, side with both Black Mesa Team and HECU Team, do what's right and become a hero just like Gordon, except he becomes a forgotten soldier.

Tod your a lucky fuck i got a similair rare situation when i played half-life 1 which i had not recorded unfortunately
so get this you know the part where you first encounter the houndeyes? and see gman standing on a slight elevation? well you can go up there and as your probably aware you can get a scientist to open the door for you to get access to some grenades and ammo WELL....i once speedrunned that part and got through it as fast as possible and i shit you not......like 100% What actually happened here.......i got over to the door and as the scientist walked up to it the......other scientist from the lower level teleported up there and opened the door for me........then he turned to look at the other scientist who is the one that opens the door and says i quote "You have no idea whats going on......Do you"
It was the most wacky most random and probably rarest things i ever encountered in the game.......maybe soon i am going to try and recreate it so ppl can atleast get a picture of what it looked like.
