I wore this one to work and my Boss thought I had drank alcohol. Had to go on fragrantica and show him the fragrance contains alcoholic notes.

I don't think I would wear this too often though. Got a decant but when it's done I doubt I would get a bottle. Got my eye on Cuir Ottoman.

So happy I was able to get a 30ml decant of this vintage juice before it was gone. All the new bottle have been reformatted and it's not the same. For me this one is like Pardon in the sense of when it would be used. I enjoy them both for those non casual days when you want to make sure no one within 300 mile radius smells like you.

Awesome fragrance, awesome review. I find myself craving that initial blast of Vodka.I wonder if the Juniper berries are how they create the Vodka note.
I think juniper berries are used in the fermentation of alcoholic spirits, so you may be very right. Fortunately, this fragrance doesn't remind me of other fragrances containing juniper berries that I dislike. Thanks for watching! Keep in touch.

I think once this frag calms down it is not bad at all. I was surprised that my wife like this one and she normally hates unusual frag like this, but it was in its calm state.

Good review. Great fragrance. I'm surprised you missed commenting on the tobacco. Not an ingredient mentioned in Fragrantica but according to LuckyScent and other documentation, there is some tobacco in there.

If I was a parfumer, this is the kind of video I would like to see about my fragrance. a review with a lot of respect for the fragrance and the perfumer. On the one hand, there are innumerable fragrances to review. On the other hand, these reviews stay forever; and here you created a classic.

Great review. This one has been on my radar for a while now. I'm very intrigued by it. Do you think people will think you're a lush by wearing this? Lol. Don't get pulled over by the cops with this one on.
Thank you for the kind words. I don't think people will have that perception of you. The amber really dominates, and the boozy quality won't last for too too long. Haha. It doesn't quite have the effect that Coney Island does (still can't believe that happened!)
I told Seb of ManLovesCologne about this. I just happen to watch "Anna Karenina" (Keira Knightley) when I wore this. I swear that this fragrance seem to follow the scenes on the movie: Every time they are surrounded with luxurious leather on the screen I smell leather as well, when they were drinking tea, I can smell tea, When they drank vodka, I smelled vodka too! I think that this fragrance is able to capture the decadent and elegant life of old Russia at the time of the Czars.
Hey, maybe you can try "tripping" on this too when you watch that movie. :-)

Ambre Russe quickly became one of my very favourite perfumes; kind of risky, yet tastefull indeed.
This fragrance is really unique, i think it's not for everybody, but for me it smells like vodka with tea and a little bit of cinnamon, kinda medicinal in the beginning , the amber in this is verry similar to 24 gold, but in terms of uniqueness this fragrance is a 10/10.

I've learned the PdE is totally changing the packaging (bottles, label, etc) of their entire line...so most likely next time you see this fragrance it will look totally different on the outside

Like the fragrance, hate the bottle. It looks cheap like a fizzy water container to me despite the gold accents. I own a decant :) lol.
