Thank you dear Veteran gardener! Your testimony helps my husband who is also a veteran so much! Your story of passion will ignite so many people’s hopes
I can hear the love in your voice! I too use gardening as therapy. I am not a Veteran, but a spouse of one (USMC), with two active-duty sons (USAF and Army). Thank you for your service!
Miguel PT from Portugal here. At some point in this video Rodney said he has one "Nelita" tree 😊 actually I gave that name to a Eugenia calycina variety from my personal mirtacea collection some years ago and now it always makes me smile when I see rare fruit people keep using it all around the world 😊😊😊😊 congratulations and just keep up the good work Mr. Rodney!
The last couple of years I take all my seeds and pits from 🍒 orange 🍊 🍋 🥭 avocado and peaches and shove them in fort in the pots or the yard some where and I've got so many fruit trees everywhere popping up it's going to take a couple more years before they bare fruit
Yes, he needs more room. Even for pots. Having fruit trees does not necessarily mean having fruit. If they are not producing, what is the point. I will not keep a plant that does not produce.
Boy, reading these comments, I feel like everyone is another kindred soul! So nice when other people understand your passion and love it right along with you!! ❤️ I just started in the last few years, but I'm going crazy loving it. Beautiful food forest!
I think the point is no matter where we are we can have an orchard. I'm renting a house with a (very) tiny yard but I'm going to start my orchard now before I own
I love fruit 🍑 trees when I was living in Florida I was on two acres and I planted 10 avocados 10 mangoes I'd lots of elderberries which they spread underground pop up in other areas amazing mind started from just a root
This is an amazing and phenomenal presentation. It take a talented and gifted Gardener to grow, any type of plant species in pots. But, to see Rodney's tree species is an awesome extension and inspiring movement of how to grow plants above ground !!!
I thought i was crazy potting all my fruit trees. I never thought that it can be amazingly brilliant idea! Thanks for sharing the ideas! And thank you fir sharing this video ❤🙏👍👍👍
Inspiring! I began a similar journey with wild foraged pawpaw seeds. Now I have everything from acacado, goji, pomegranate, & loquat. Wild foraged orange trees are my favorite so far. During the last freeze I lost all but one papaya, so starting over with those. I have over 100 tiny dragon fruit and just added blueberries. Nothing more magical than grazing through my own food Forest. I’m also growing in Two states. For twenty years I have let almost 300 acres go to forest, but I plan to take a lot of my SC trees to a green house in KY soon. But your trees!!!! Inspiring!
Ok growing them in pots is awesome. BUT I’m more impressed that he actually knows all the names lol I can’t even keep the herbs in my garden straight let alone the fruit and veggies. 😂I have to do better 😂 .
I admire you guys so much! What a wealth of information! I have basicly no land…I need to grow in pots. We just got torn up by hurricane Ian here in Cape Coral. So sad because this is nice for growing tropical trees
Oh my! Absolutely Amazing!! So beautiful I've been gardening awhile and I thank God to still learn more! Praise God. Thanks for this lovely tour. Thank you Paul. Such an inspiration this gentleman is.
This is so oooooo Amazing to see your wonderful garden… I would literally sleep under those trees… this is how much I love gardening. Fantastic Job!!!!
Good morning. This is excellent, and most certainly grow your own fruits. My (deceased) father in north Florida did so, in retirement, growing, bananas, mulberry, pecans, plums, all kinds. Trees love the sunlight!......................................................... drinking fresh spring water and, soaking in the cold mineral water water outside this morning, Ozarks
I’m doing what he has been doing. I’m still in the military & I’m growing only tropical fruit trees in containers 100%. I have a quarter an acre lot property. I have over 50 fruit trees in less than 3 years since I started into gardening.
I'M IN COMMON WITH THIS MAN ABOUT TREE, HE LIKE FRONT AND BACKYARD FOREST, HE LOVES ALL OF THEM, CAN'T KILL NONE. I PLANTING TREES ON TOP OF TREES, NO SPACE IS WASTE. LONG LIVE THE FARMER.

A man after my own heart!! I grow lots and lots of trees and plants in pots. I had over 800 before our last house shift. I got rid of half my plants before we moved. Now I can start adding more!! I'd love to see a list of all his fruit trees.😊
I also grow most of my trees in pots. Most of my citrus, jaboticaba’s, dragonfruit’s, a couple of rollinia. Kinda tricky but it’s a challenge and just fun. Therapy. Plus you get food out of it. Amazing plants brother🙏🏼🤙🏼 Much love and aloha
Rodney, from one vet to another thank you for what you do. I love gardening as well. You look very handsome, too handsome to be hidden behind those shades. Show your beautiful face. 🥰
How the heck can you know a tree 🌳 is male or female? Also no idea you can plant banana 🍌 tree in USA. Beautiful environment you created Thanks for sharing your passion... blessings from Panamá...
Great job and if you're ever in Georgia, you are welcome to stop by Humble Farm Refuge and we can swap stories. Thank you for your service Fellow Vet!---Art
That black man has a green thumb, small trees cost so much less than larger ones. I have been considering planting trees in containers but didn’t think it was possible. THANK YOU sir for the inspiration.
The fact is that he would get much more fruit if they are in the ground or have more space. I have some trees in pots that I'm collecting to start my orchard.

I have to agree hes made it beautiful
Where is he located? Who does he winter the plants. I have never seen that many tropical trees thriving within the continental US.
It’s therapeutic just listening to him and seeing the passion. Keep up the good work.
This is great! I am on my way of being just like this! My family thinks I'm crazy but they will thank me one day 😊 Thanks for sharing

The US government should honor him with a bigger property but hey.
You can tell the nature of a man when he is a man of nature. 💗
All those trees on a quarter of an acre. That is amazing. Thank you so much.
Good luck to our Veteran! Prayers goes out to you. 🙏
I love how the trees are close to each other and they are very healthy

Rodney is such an inspiration! I had a lemon tree in a pot that didn't do well. I'm sure it was my error. Can't wait to try again.
Lemons are in an evergreen family. They don't need alot if watering. I tend to over water myself. Good luck.
@@karynlee9632 good tip. Thanks!
Growing my lemon tree in pot. When I potted it, I mixed soil with fresh cut grass & would ash. She's happy so far. Try again!
