- Kate Bush and Rowan Atkinson duet the song Do Bears...? at the 1986 Comic Relief show in 1986 in glorious FAUX-HD.
The video was originally 720 X 576 as ripped from a PAL copy so I thought I would upscale via software to 960 to 720 to allow the the best quality as the 480 setting would obviously downgrade stuff. This is then I suppose a Mid-Def version.
Wow that crowd reaction when they see Kate walking out. She is something special. So is Atkinson in his own craft. Two people who are the best of British.
Two people who are simply impossible not to love in some small way.

Kate is actually so funny, but she's always had humour in her songs and performances especially in the earlier ones. I just know she must be so much fun to hang out with! This video is such a gem, it always makes me laugh so much. This duo is just perfect!

I love the recording of her on the Tour Of Life shows where she’s about to start a song on piano and gets the introduction wrong twice accompanied by her small voice muttering to herself “F*ckin’ ‘ell!” and finally “Thank you” to her fingers when they behave and get the notes right on the third try.

I was lucky enough to be in the theatre that night for the first Comic Relief and what a night it was ! It didnt start until midnight because the theatre donated the time but after the normal performance had taken place. Just about all the popular comics were there and The Young Ones were probably my favourite of the night
They were talking about sneaking a snog with Kate. They were pretty funny.

I forgot about this sketch and equally forgot how funny it was and still is.....Rowan we know is a very accomplished comedian....but it's so nice to see Kate's silly side and to be such a good sport ...might go and check out her pairing up with Kenny Everett....

This is quite funny because Rowan Atkinson was part of a program called "not the nine o'clock news". They did an incredible parody of Kate Bush - England My Leotard. Kate must heave clearly had a good sense of humour about the whole thing. Look it up if you want a laugh.

For you maybe. Check out Atkinson's other work, such as Blackadder.
The majority of his work has been in speaking roles - Not the Nine O'Clock News, The Thin Blue Line, four years or Blackadder, and various live comedy shows like this.
But globally he's unfortunally mostly/only known for Mr Bean.
