Hi, thanks for the very informative video. It was great to watch! May I ask if we need to buy the bus tickets and admission tickets before we go to Great Wall? Or we can just walk in, similar to what you have posted. Hope you're able to advise. Thanks!
Very interesting trip. 21,000 km of total extension, that is the greatest monument in the world. Some people say that is the unique monument in the earth that someone can watch from the moon.
Hi Lulu, thank you for your info, i am planning to Beijing this december, it gives me more information, seems bus is easier rather than by subway and high speed train
Hello, thank you for your comment. If you're traveling from downtown Beijing to the Great Wall, I do think taking a bus is more convenient. Hope you have a great time in Beijing!
Thank you Lulu for the informative video. It brings back great memories for me when my then girlfriend from Beijing and I visited the Badaling section of the wall on March 29th 2007. Yes it was getting very tiring as we walked up the steep steps towards the 8th tower but it was fun and interesting. I even got my certificate with my picture on it reading "Not a Lucky Hero until one reaches The Great Wall" and "I have ascended the Badaling Great Wall" A great momentum to have. Visiting the Great Wall when in China should be on every one's bucket list of things to see. Missing my friends and Beijing! :)
Many people know the great wall but only a few know the real meaning in military terms. It is a building, a set of several buildings, aiming the defense against northern tribes, possible invaders. Instead of attacking those tribes, china preferred to defend itself against the invasions. So we understand that despite China has the greatest Navy, it doesn't posture aggressive neither intention of attack others, but to defend itself from others. As much as we know the chinese people is peaceful. It never searched to build an empire overseas.
Something that puzzles me... I know that words ending in L can be difficult to pronounce for Chinese speakers, but are they taught to pronounce it more like an R ending rather than (for wall) something like (Pinyin) wo-le?
Thank you for the great experience!
Im Irish and lived in Beijing for 6 years. I've been to badaling
i will come From Bangladesh 🇧🇩
