Thanks for the great video! I am about to pull the trigger on the Bolt Pro 32. My shop remodel isn’t quite ready for it yet, but I want to purchase before the expected 2025 price increase.

Great video, as always!! Now you need to get your hands on the new Nova Plus. Just when I was getting ready to make a purchase, Thunder offered a brand new temptation 😂

Yeah no kidding! I was almost ready to pull the trigger on a Nova 51 130w, now I don’t know what to do again.

Very informative. There is however one fact that you did not address and that is the replacement cost of the RF Tubes compared to CO2 tubes. I find that here where I am in the world, that this will be the deciding factor for me.

The RF tube can be recharged while the glass tube must be replaced.

Check out my video about RF tubes. I talk about it there. Basically RF is more to recharge but will last longer. In the long run I think glass DC tube and RF tube operation cost is pretty close.

You mentioned that you don't understand how Thunder puts such a good RF branded laser in the machine in that price point, but the RF laser source is a ZAMIA CO2 RF N30A source right? the same as the One Laser X RF there comes in at 3.995,00$, thats a hefty price up for the bolt.

Sorry, not sure if that’s the source or not and I’m not very familiar with the One Laser machines. Looks really interesting though on first glance. Isn’t $3995 the presale price though?
My point was RF laser sourced machines have come down in price greatly over the past year or so and I hope that trend continues. RF tubes were only found in industrial level machines. For a small business like mine to be able to run three RF powered lasers is a testament to how much they’ve come down in price.

I can confirm that the source in the One laser X RF is a N30A from Zamia, and it looks to be the same in the entry level Bolt after i looked closely on multiple videos on both machines. RF lasers are coming down in prices and thats so great! looking forward to getting a XY laser to compliment our galvos. Looking for lasers in the bolt plus to pro 35 series and just want to find what fits my needs now and in the close future :) I think one of the big selling points for bolt, is that it is an established company with a good track record and some solid support and machines.

Couldn’t agree more. If you haven’t seen, go take a look at the new Nova Plus series Thunder is releasing. Really interesting and great price points.

@@LaserGarage yeah i looked at them, but i think its getting to big for me and the bolt really seems to have better specs and options. why or would you pick a novo over a bolt youself? :)

I’ll be purchasing a Nova 51 in the near future. Not because it’s better than the bolts I have but just because it compliments them. We can use another larger format machine as we are doing a lot more bulk cutting nowadays. RF tubes are my favorite but a 130w glass dc tube cuts pretty much anything like butter. I hear Thunder may be coming out with an 80w RF option in the Nova plus line, I’m patiently awaiting that but it will make my decision a lot harder.
