    Am I correct in thinking they don't use a linear carriage on the gantry, but some kind of wheeled setup? Have they told you how often those wheels will need replacing?

    • @LaserGarage
      @LaserGarage  3 месяца назад

      Yea, the laser head moves along the gantry on wheels just like the smaller original bolt and the older Odin model. I haven’t talked to them about their longevity though; I will ask. The laser head is so light I wouldn’t imagine much wear and tear on the wheels though.

    Hey Brett! Great video. I'm (impatiently) waiting for my Bolt Pro 22 to arrive. Should be here in a week or two. I'd like to see you do some leatherette patches and some tumblers on a rotary. I ordered the PiBurn Grip rotary for mine. Thanks!!

      Awesome!!! I feel you on the waiting game. I have a feeling you’re going to love the Bolt Pro! I will definitely do some leatherette and tumblers in future videos.

    Hey Brett, thank you for this info. Was wondering if this lazer can be taken apart from the base to get through a door sideways. From your measurements, 40.2, does it have anything protruding in the back to make the measurement increase....?
    I need to get it in through a doorway measuring 43 1/4".

      @LaserGarage  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey Gabe! You’re very welcome. The base and warning light comes off so it can fit through a doorway. Thunder Laser official actually has a complete video showing this exact situation on their RUclips channel. Go check it out. Search, “how to get bolt pro32 through standard doorway”.

      You're very welcome. For the money this is the best industrial style laser on the market currently in my opinion. Similar lasers from other manufacturers are almost double the price.

    Brett, what can you tell me about the dual cameras on the Pro 32? I received mine a couple of days ago and haven't set it up yet. I see several people said they can't get the cameras working. Dual cameras can be set up several ways, depending on the laser.

    • @LaserGarage
      @LaserGarage  3 месяца назад

      Yes I had the same question and contacted support about it. Basically dual cameras are not supported currently in lightburn unfortunately. I don’t use the cameras a lot but have just been using one at a time for the time being. Hopefully they can get this updated in the software soon.

      @@LaserGarage Should be here in less than a week. Could you demonstrate the camera system through LB?

    • @LaserGarage
      @LaserGarage  3 месяца назад

      Sure, I’ll add that in my next video where I go over the cutting capabilities in more detail.
      There are two cameras on the lid, one for the left and one for the right side. This is because they are meant to operate with the lid closed and one camera can’t capture this great of a field of view. Lightburn doesn’t currently support a dual camera setup unfortunately but it’s not a big deal, you just have to switch between the left and right camera depending on how large your workpiece is and where in the board you want to place an item. Hopefully LB adds this feature soon.

      Any fiber laser will engrave gold and silver. I would recommend to start researching those. I have some videos on them if you’d like to start there.
