Thank you for this. A lot of great tips. Using regular brush and paint I realize my mistakes. I ordered tombow watercolor based after switching from considering the prisma watercolor pencil. I cant wait to try this

a tip: you can watch movies at flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.

Just bought my pens today, this was really helpful. So nice and I love the music as well.
i used watercolor paper (artist loft) and brush pens (also artist loft) to try to recreate the rose that you did here but for some reason, the markers do not react with the water and when i continue to mix it, the paper starts to fade
should i change the paper, then pens, or both?
I have tried the Artist loft watercolor paper with these Tombow Dual brush pens and it doesnt work for watercoloring at ALL. The paper just absorbs the color instantly and then you cannot spread it by painting with water. I ended up giving the Artist loft watercolor sketchbooks I bought to my kids to use. I haven't used the Artist loft brush pens though so I don't know much about them at all. I have tried everything, but I cannot get my markets to activate with the water. No matter how much water I use I cannot achieve the watercolor look you were able to accomplish. Any tips?
You need to be using watercolor paper.
