Spending $1000 in 24 Hours: Conrad Luxury Hotel 🇰🇷

- ■ Seoul, South Korea: Le'Escape Hotel Seoul, where I spent my first night in the country was excellent. But I still felt jet-lagged the next morning and not at all ready to go sightseeing around Seoul. I needed another night to revel in five star luxury to recover from my flight.
Preferably somewhere with several restaurants, a gym and a swimming pool.
A quick search on Booking.com lead me to Conrad Hotel, a five star sky-rise hotel owned by the Hilton group. The price was high but it is what it is. Luxury is never cheap so I decided to go for it. My goal for the day was to spend over $1000 USD on living life to the fullest.
To make the day more interesting I decided to take the metro to the hotel. That proved easier said than done....

One of the reasons why I like Harald`s videos is that he shows you luxury and sleeps in the best hotels and has gourmet meals but at the same time, he is not afraid to sleep in some mud hut in Tanzania or in a room in the mountains of Nepal. Thanks Harald.
I love those $6 hotel rooms in India... all day baby!

Remember those cats in the cave eating crabs.. hunting crabs@@theforgottenera7145
I like how Harald checks out of one luxury hotel, only to check into another luxury hotel, and then makes a video about a luxury hotel. There's a theme here.
i think the theme is luxury hotels but im not really sure
He does this specifically for the purpose of contrasting it with another luxury hotel
He has to even it out with a $20 / night hovel
i think the theme is gongo hunt
The coin drop caught me off guard so when the first one happened I was looking around my room 😂😂😂
Me too😊😅 but i like it
Got me laughing early in the morning! That doesn't happen often! Thanks to you THE NORTHMAN 😊 Enjoy your trip!
Have a glorious day!
You as well! My gf will be freaking out once I tell her you replied to my comment! Thanks again, and I look forward to the next video! 🎉
Harald, could you please do a tour through South Korea and visit some villages. That would be very interesting.
I don´t think he will stay in luxury hotels for 2.-3 weeks so fingers crossed!
korea is not a 3rd world country, the villagers would not care about a random white guy creeping around @@paulr.1961
Didn't you see his recent Korea videos?

Watching 2 south Korea episodes in a row on Christmas Eve, whenever I watch Harold’s travel volgs, my heart shouts for joy, thank you 🥂
I absolutely love how you always support the local merchants wherever you go. Thanks for your great videos can't wait to see more!
Thank you for finally doing this Harald! Korea holds a special place in so many hearts. The most incredible experiences in my life have been living and loving in this place. I cant wait to see you venture out further.
I don’t know why but I never pictured you’d visit Seoul as you visit more adventure-challenged places.
Welcome to Seoul! Welcome to South Korea!
It's pretty interesting to watch this trip as I've been watching your videos since 2018, as I'm a local here in Korea. Your perspectives on this trip are pretty interesting to me.
Enjoy what plan you have for the rest of your time here. Let me know if you need any local help.
Btw your Korean HANWOO steak reminds me of Mr. NOODLES!! Who you've hung out with in Bangkok Korean Town.
Have fun, Harald!! Keep proving!! 👍🏻😎
Thanks 🙏🏻
Harald really love ur vlogs one of the best RUclipsrs to watch , you crack me up , ps hotel room was unreal greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪❤

You always travel in luxury.very amazing person. Your videos are very informative.thanks for sharing your journey
I'm so excited for this series!
The shot of the sun about to rise from behind the hills from that gorgeous vantage point in your room was stunning!
It cracks me up that Harald can navigate remote mountains and villages at the edge of nowhere like it's nothing, but put him in a major city and he's lost lol.
You are killing it Haraldo! I loved the bed sheet edit.
Merry Christmas, alone too but watching you makes me feel less alone this Xmas 🎄 you’re doing great and love your banter with the locals
Thanks for the upload Harald! Amazing experience as always! MERRY CHRISTMAS!🎉
That's what I love about you, whether you're in the middle of the Himalayas in one of those hiker's cabins or you're in an 800$ hotel room, or in the slums of India. You're just Harold and that's why it's always fun to enjoy your vidio's. Thank you for this and let us continue to enjoy, Merry Christmas and a pleasant ending.

GREAT OPENING!! Well done Harold!! ❤️ Love your Videos!! You take us to places that some of us, at this point in our lives, can only Dream about!!
#LIVEWellAnSeeWORLDThruHBaldr 😊👍💯💕🌎
There is so much I wish I could have told you while watching the video. Some great insight into a person’s experience with Korea. Thank you for sharing.
I love your videos so much. I love how you love give relevance to animals around you. The way you show your viewers every insignificant details. Your signature smile to cover up the communication gap😍 your humility. How you relate with foreigners. Your kind gesture to people. Everything about you I love 😘 I'm sending you a very warm hug from Nigeria. Hoping to see you in my country some day.
Life style fluctuations in your vlogs from Kenya to Seoul. and the way you adapt the situations is just unimaginable 🌹
High craftsmanship level made video, another great travel vlog from an interesting country by a kind and curious world traveler.
I love how you're always so respectful toward any locals, wherever you go.. :)
Love to see it, go'jul från Sverige Harald.
Merry Christmas Harald! Really enjoying this Korean series!
You are awesome Harald. Thanks for all the videos and enjoyment.
Thank you for inspiring me to rewatch the movie “Act Of Valour” as you totally reminded me of the “bad guy, abu shabal” in that movie 😂!! Purely and only slightly looks wise 😂
I also can't afford this type of luxury hotel but thanks to you Harald at least we can experience it through your video. It feels like we are exploring the hotel along with you. We can clearly see you were struggling with jet lag but still you made the vlog. I appreciate the effort you put in the videos Harald. Waiting for Gongo hunt in Korea by the greatest Gongo hunter.
Happy Christmas new year's eve and best wishes Herald and all the world one love
Interesting video Harold! Thank you!
Happy Holidays Harald! I hope you're enjoying our Country! I have watched you for a long time, and it is such an honour to see you in Korea for the holidays🎄🙏
Always watching instantly 🤘🏼
Only 31 minutes, this is outrageous, Harald! We want more from South Korea, it is a fascinating country and entertaining to explore through your vlogs!
Waking up and seeing a new Harald post is such a kick ass thing. Absolutely adore you buddy. Hope everything is well. Looks like you're still kicking ass. I love the transition you did between being in your PJs to being in your clothes. That was cool! Keeper going!
So excited to experience this new journey with you. You travel for ALL of us Harold!!
This is awesome. Love to see Harald in a new country that he hasn’t vlogged in before. Hopefully we see more of these in 2024 and the years to come.
You are as always amazing
Another awesome video from the Northman!
This is by far my most favorite video of the day!!!!😅 In all seriousness another entertaining video, thank you! 🫡
Wohh man , I got my studies to be done , but it's all right , gonna fail tomorrow!! But can't delay watching this 'Haraldo Approves' series ❤️
The hotel was so classy and beautiful 😊💗
New video allready!!You made my friday Heraldo!Merry Christmas ( GOD JUL! ) from sweden! 🍷🥃🎀🎄
Merry Christmas Harald, thank you for every video.
Haha, love the monochromatic baggage contents! Jet lag is real, as soon as I sit down after a long flight, I'm done for. Hoping to experience it again soon.
I like your videos now before even I start watching them😀😀
This is the way 🍺
0:01 The corridor looks like a set of K-pop music video.
happy new year. look forward to lots of great videos.
Jeju Island with the Volcano's and Mountains, seems to be a great place for some Heraldo's Trekking Mastery. Enjoy!
Great Video Herald. Love watching your videos.
Thank you for sharing Harald Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years 🙏
In your Google maps app, you can just click on the station and you'll see a step-by-step guide the Line number/name and interchanges, even live location in the app is shown so you won't miss the stop.
FYI the google map does not work efficient in s. Korea better to use naver map or Kakao map.
@@Jwc88888 it works great for the metro lines
Definitly get Naver Map. So much better, ease of use and accurate than the rest
Love your content Harold brother… Keep smashing it 🎉
Your videos are usually great, but this one was excellent Harald! Its not because of the fancy stuff either, your presentation, commentary and even breaking the 4th wall makes this video one of my favorites of yours in recent memory. Not trying to kiss your butt....I am just really grateful for this video, thank you! Happy Holidays (Merry Christmas, if you believe in that lol)
Hi Harald, your videos made my Christmas, the only gift I will have.Love you.
That leopard hat is gonna be the star of the show by end of your journey 😂
Good idea:
We guys should start a charity auction. The one with the highest offer geht's the hat !
I do start with 10 €.
In the end St. Heraldo decides. OK?
It's always a good time on youtube when Harald Baldr is back
love your channel man great stuff!
I lived and taught in Korea for 7 years. It's an interesting place, with great food. I wouldn't live there again, but I'd love to go back and see how it's changed. I'd kill for a proper bbq too!
Hi bro love ur videos and I loved the sri lanka video in which that guy followed u 🥰🥰
Loving the new series Harald 👏🏻👏🏻
Your videos are interesting. Great of you to share your experiences! Enjoy Seoul 🎶
Thanks for the upload Ronaldo
🤣
This is probably the MOST Luxurious Vlog that you will find on YT. Harald chose the BEST of everything, best hotel, best food, best room. Harald stands for "Superior Quality" in everything he does & everything he shows us through his vlogs. Mind-blowing video brother!! ☺️💙
Great as usual, love a new series. Merry Christmas!
Please take care of yourself, skip a day of filming if you need to rest, we will still be here 🙏 God jul fra Danmark.
I can’t believe bald has more subscribers than you. A million+ people are missing out on the Northman.
Exquisite and plush content, Haraldo! Much appreciato!
loving this korea series and nuances of the video. this is the heritage of the harald baldr!
Welcome to korea ❤
I'm glad you had Hanwoo. It's much better than wagyu and Kobe. Kobe is toooo fatty after a few bites you get sick. Hanwoo has the PERFECT marbling you can enjoy a full steak or two. THE best beef flavour and super tender.
I'm so happy you are traveling in & showing how Korea is 😊
The first steak didn't have any marbeling
The hanwoo steak looked more like a filet mignon
@@gerry9306you cant afford either
@@gerry9306 lmao you watch Athlean X... a boomer with no gains
Amazing blog like always ❤keep em coming
Have a lovely Christmas and New Year keep up the good work loving your content
Fsntastic vlog Harald it's great to see countries and expensive hotels which lots of us will never see in our time here, and yes I know its not all luxury places you have been to as I have followed you for a long time. Looking forward to seeing more of your time in Korea and hope you get over your jet lag 👍 xx
I lived in S Korea back in 1980 and I fell in love with the people and country. I too was very surprised how brutally cold Korea can get. I lived in the last village near the DMZ. It was a 2 hour bus ride south for me to get to Seoul, which was maybe once a month. Enjoy I would love to return , It was the worst jetlag I had ever experienced traveling to Korea .
I will keep watching
"the last village near the DMZ"? that could be anywhere between munsan to daejin on the east coast.
Just north of Munson , I wish I could remember the name of the village . I actually worked on a military base in Munson and took a bus north to my village . My husband was the 1st Sgt on the DMZ , JSA Joint Security Force . Back in early 80s there were many protests by the young S Koreans wanting the American troops out of their country , the older S Koreans were not in agreement. We loved Korea and even considered staying another year . All men assigned to JSA had to be 6 ft or more to be assigned there and have a perfect military record . During the year 1980-81 we were on lock down due to ongoing problems from N Korea and their threats
Great, keep them coming. Koz og klemz🎉
I just got to watch episode 1,2 both at same time thank you and keep updating lifestyle of Korean 😇
Senor Heraldo !!! Gotta continue the tradition and serve us a Haircut video.
If I find a cool barber then sure. But haven't seen one yet. Open to recommendations from people who live in Seoul
We can always count on Phuc Balder to upload high quality content
Always love your vids Harald. We can see how real you are as a person. Hope you make another video with Ben. Take care always man.
Ive been a fan for a while.. finally! Korea!! Ive been waiting.. i hope u meet a nice friend/guide to show u around and good food
The bread and steak looked like it was worth $1000!
Glad to be back with harald vlog best vlogger in the world's 🎉🎉🎉
I noticed he has all the things in black in a black suitcase. Truely a proffesional James Bond out there. The black color suits you the most harald. Korean series is interesting!! kamsa-hamnida, annyeong.
Good video. Merry Christmas Harald ❤
It's crazy how modern and sophisticated that county is, but just a few hundred miles north of you lies a completely different atmosphere. And they're basically the same thing, just different governments. Wild dynamics between those two countries that used to be one.
same country and people but just one is sanctioned by the western mafia
Communism vs capitalism
Sanctions vs no sanctions. Its that simple.
@@miket7390No. It's really not that simple.
Yes sure. The communists would thrive without the sanctions of the west. :D
The South-Korean King has awoken and we get to behold his adventures. But will he find his soju? Let's check it out
Thanks for making the 2 vlogs. I've been wondering what it was like. How was the Kloud beer? I like how you are explaining your experience there. The details are awesome.
Great vlog mate , enjoying it very much , Alan approves !!
Not many people wake up wearing a leopard-hat
....but this is Harald ofcours😂
I spent 13 months in South Korea with the U.S. Army back in 1970. We were stationed at a very small compound next to the Yellow Sea in the southwest corner of the country. Very isolated area back then, surrounded by rice paddies, hills and the sea. The villagers and farmers were very friendly and would always invite you into their thatched roof, dirt floor houches and offer you what little they had to eat or drink. Drinked a lot of Korean wine and their homemade version of saki but stayed away from the kimchi.
whats a kimchi?
@@user-xb2ih8xj5n fermented cabbage of different types, incredibly healthy and incredibly common in Korea. It’s really good and healthy for your gut.
