It's a very lonely song, and it fits well with the game.
Everywhere you go, no matter what land or town it is, people greet you and then they walk away without another word; strangers and friends that Marston meets in his travels are, after the mission, never spoken to again, either vanishing or being discovered dead in a paper years later.
Each of these people pass in and out of Marston's life, yet they live no different than him: solitary men and women, desperately trying to live in a barren, hostile world, dying in exactly the same way: shot to death for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
I wonder, in the old west, how many people lived like Marston did. How many have crossed empty deserts, whistling gently, living and dying their lonely little lives and, in the end, being completely forgotten?

Definitely a game I'll be proud to say I played the hell out of when I'm old. It doesn't feel right to call it a game conidering how much it means to me, it's a masterpeice.
I truly believe no other game and come close to replicating the almost out of body experience I had back in 2012 when I played this for the first time and gazed at New Austin from the cliffs of Hennigan’s Stead or the first time I saw those plains in New Hannover on the 2nd game

The cycle continues we think rdr1 is nostalgic but 13 years later we are gonna think rdr2 is nostalgic
I'm new to this game. (I know I'm 5 years behind!) But what a brilliant and breathtaking spectacle. I'm totally lost in this adventure. I think Sergio Leone would be proud of this. And Ennio Morricone would love the soundtrack as it is simply amazing. I live, eat and sleep John Marston and his adventure!!

I don't know what you think but, Red Dead Redemption 1 has more essence than Red Dead Redemption 2, what style does this great game handle with its environmental osts and the vibe it transmits, you literally feel in the wild west
That's kinda the point of RDR2, though. You're a long, long way from the wild west and the soundtrack of the game reflects that.

This is what made the first game better than the second. This music. Actually made me feel like a cowboy.
and it was kinda creepy in a way. going on your way then you find a hanging man from a tree in the middle of nowhere and songs like this play.
I would strongly disagree about this. As much as i love RDR and it's music. "Born unto trouble" in particular brings so much Bittersweet nostalgic memories to me, it instantly puts me on a horse, hat on my head and i'm just back there. Even after 14 years. That's one hell of thing music is capable of. RDR2 went into different direction. The music is more natural, more realistic, more ambient in a way. I love how it does not just loop the same track over and over again when you are in free roam, but actually shut the fuck up quite often so you can just enjoy the game sound. They put so much effort into environmental sound, you can hear the wind, some animals, twin, trees, ground under your shoes, people in distance talking or arguing. They allow you to actually just exist there in the nature and hear the actual environment. That's prime immersion for me. Great example and i stand by it! KCD or Witcher 3 as much i love those games both do this the "wrong" way. All you hear everytime is fuckin music. They never allow you to fully immerse into the world that's around you by actually being just quiet. Death Stranding also does this quite well if i remember correctly. Not trying to shit on your opinion. We are all fellow partners here right?❤️ Just wanted to defend RDR2 as i felt like i'm coming across this opinion that RDR has better soundtrack quite often.

Eins der besten Spiele die ich gespielt habe, auch wenn es sich bisschen kitschig anhört. Ich war auch selten so gefesselt von einem Spiel wie diesem. Hätte Rockstar Games nicht zugetraut so ein wunderschönes athmosphärisches Spiel zu gestalten. Wer findet das noch so ? :o

Stimmt, Spiele wie RDR sind für die Ewigkeit bestimmt. Ich hoffe mal das Rockstar schon fleißig am neuen Teil werkeln...
it had so much mood, like having some don siegel or spaghetti western movies or the early old skool ones from the us....only that u are tempted to feel being inside this particular mood whatever illusion and wrong framed it may be,..being artifical~ this music is by Elms and Jackson is def not. So the tracks are about desire for an non existing place, a kind of utopia, right? Would fit me well for cruising arizona and new mexico and hey, i've never been there..

Red Dead Redemption ist ja eigentlich der 2te Teil.Denn der 1te Teil war Red Dead Revolver.Wenn du das noch nicht wusstest dann hoffe ich das ich dir helfen konnte.Aber ein 3ter Teil währe schon cool,hoffen wir das besste!xD

Ja du redest von Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare und nicht Red Dead Redemption: 2. Ich glaube Rockstar dachte sich auch: In einem guten Western Spiel dürfen Zombies nicht fehlen.
PS: Abpropo. Ich finde es eine frechheit das Rockstar uns PC-Spieler warten läßt mit GTA V. Das wäre genauso als würdest du n Hund ne Woche in Keller Sperren ohne Essen. Und dann öffnest du die Tür und spielst vor seiner Schnauze mit leckerem Essen rum.
für mich ist es das beste spieldas Rockstar jeh gemacht hat nichma GTA V find ich so gut wie RDR nur leider wird es keine fortsetztung von RDR geben :(

jep aber dafür wird die pc version tausend mal besser also ich bin kein Fan von GTA auf pc ich zock das lieber auf ps3 aber auf pc wird es trotzdem geil werden - bessere grafik , haufen geile mods werden bestimmt entwickelt ... u.s.w. und auf konsole haben wir so gut wie keine chance mods zu installieren

In gewisser Hinsicht ist es auch gut das kein Nachfolger kommt. SPOILER ALERT!!! Der Held ist Tod die Geschichte zu Ende. Manchmal sollten man eine so gute Story einfach in Ruhe lassen. Schau dir Assassins Creed an. Jeder Teil wird immer schlechter. Die hauhens nur noch jedes jahr raus um ne menge Geld zu bekommen. Ubisoft wahr auch so blöd und hat den "sozusagen" Erfinder von AC2 gekündigt. Dieser Mann wollte Großartiges mit der Reihe machen. Er wahr ein Visionär. Leider schade um die Reihe.
