He was about 35 years old then which is still pretty young when it comes to adopting new tech. We’re going to be seeing a lot more of this in the coming years as people comfortable with the internet keep getting older. My grandpa is in his 80s and learned to build websites back in the 90s when I was a kid. He would’ve been in his mid-50s. He taught me and that’s why I’m a full stack web developer today. Here’s an idea: a drinking bird ina sealed, low-pressure container. A simple condenser takes the evaporated water and ensures it goes in the cup. If it spills, it slowly evaporated and back into the cup!
    You can get 2 versions. The first one is just low pressure air, sealed fully so no air gets in. The second one has a valve. Open it to let air in, or use the built-in hand-pum to lower the pressure. Can also be connected to a vacuum-pump. A pressure release valve lets air in if it drops too low pressure-wise. The pressure gauge also shows how many dips per minute you will get on average!
    The dial might also have anring on it, and as-internal humidity rises, that ring shifts, adjstijg the measured “average dips per minute” to match the internal humidity!
    More features are included!

  • @FlorianLinscheid
    @FlorianLinscheid Год назад +3

    I would expect that it stops working in the vacuum chamber relatively quickly because the liquid cools too much down and there is too less heat conductivity to heat the bottom back up.

Then Chinese factories copied them, even the branding, but they never seemed quite so good. In any case, careful adjustment of the silver metal "waist" can usually make the dipping much more graceful. This can involve sliding the glass body tube up or down in the waist to adjust the balance, or even bending the body towards the front or back...
