Insane regain out of lucid. From playing below average to frying in the second set and completely shutting down bound. The composure is insane..went like positive 36. Undisputed best player in infinite and it’s not close. Regular szn mvp and champs mvp.
I agree with everything there besides “playing average” idk how he was playing average in your mind, however it amazes me how people will say anyone other than lucid is the mvp this season, lucid does everything, slays, damage, igl, he can support when he needs to, etc, has the speed and movement to overwhelm, everything, on top of that he’s good looking, what’s not to like? Besides the fact he’s not as toxic so it’s not as entertaining to some but the man’s got class

Fun fact: this isn’t the first time a team/player has celebrated early after thinking they just won.
In halo 5 Splyce had a flag cap denied by millimetres to win them a major (forgot which one) and Renegade celebrated early not realising Tox had denied them. Tox then got a counter cap.
Luckily Splyce still won but it would’ve been hilarious if Renegade had celebrated too early and thrown them the match lmao.
It was so weird to see the 00:00 without a victory screen, it was honestly a justifiable celebration imo

watching this after watching last years Halo 5 HWC, this game just... gameplay wise it just doesnt hit the same from a spectator stand point. its fun to play still but definitely nowhere near the same hype level
been that way since Halo 3 imo. H3 was the peak of MLG Halo play, simple weapons and power ups, no assist for for the glitch jumps - just had to practice and learn them then execute in match.
Blaze needs to go he asks the same 1 question to every player, gives them 10 seconds to talk, then demands they pass the mic down.. my grandma could do better

I'm confused why did cloud 9 have to win twice?
Because they made it to grand finals through the losers bracket. Optic however made it through the winners bracket, meaning they hadn't dropped a series yet. Since it's a double elimination tournament, C9 had to win two series to reset the bracket and knock optic down to the losers bracket before they could actually try to knock them out of the tournament and take home the trophy.

can someone explain to me why the first best of 7 series Cloud 9 won, the next series Optic won the championship isn’t it tie? i’m new so thanks in advanced
It’s because OpTic got to the grand finals through winners bracket, whereas Cloud 9 got there through losers bracket. The tournament is double elimination meaning you’re out if you lose 2 matches. That first series was the first time OpTic lost during that tournament hence the bracket is reset and another series is played.

So people can understand, in that Live fire ball game that got reset lucid actually went 50-28 (23-9 before crash and 27-19 after crash). Insane

HCS is not an improvement over the MLG era
MLG events had an average of 160 teams per event
Now Infinite only has an average of 60 teams per event
Also Street used in the tournament gives one team the stalker Rifle at the start which is a 5 kill lead

It was very well received during the beginning then cratered because of 343's shitty handling of the game in general by the old leadership
But now that the guard has changed things are finally looking better for the first time since release

i dont follow the tourney much, just browsing the results. why is their a grand final and a grand final reset?
It’s a double elimination bracket. Each team can lose twice before getting knocked out (with exceptions). Optic hadn’t lost a series til the grand finals, so Cloud9 had to beat Optic in 2 series. It’s insanely difficult to win the reset cuz that means you gotta win 8 matches in 2 series…. Back to back.
