Speaking from experience as well, I had a huge boost leak from the Air Bypass Valve (the brown looking part on top of the engine, just above the turbo in this video) - so it's worth checking that out too. :) It was blowing open on boost, and allowing air past it. To solve this, I have temporarily blocked the valve off with a plate.
@@GarageKei remove air filter. seal smoke supply on Inlet tube. Let system pressurize. Watch for leaks. The longer you let it run, the more likely you can get it to fog out a leak. Just this week smoking a Subaru EG33 swapped in a VW Synchro Van. Fixed all the leaks, swapped the spark plugs and all the misfires went away.
G’day Buddy..... 1st video I’ve come across where someone in Oz really knows their stuff. Thank you for the wisdom. P.S - Do you know where I can source a window switch? Window motor works. Switch is not getting power to the motor.
Hi, I'm from Australia but live in Tokyo. Yea good source for a switch would be Yahoo auctions. If you need help with brokerage let me know on Facebook messenger. Oh and thanks for watching!!
You missed the biggest issue. The waste gate. Every turbo I’ve ever taken off has a cracked wastegate recess. That always fucks with your boost. Causing huge lag and a struggle to make boost 👍🏻
I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, leads, plugs, fuel reg, and it still has a hard time starting. And when it does start, it vibrates and idles rough. The only thing i think that needs to be replaced is the fuel injectors?
if mine is stock, should I try change anything you've stated in the video like "upgrade wise" fuel pump etc or should I be alright outside of regular maintenance

Smoke test is my favourite way to solve boost/vacuum leaks. All of these suggestions are great for any "new to you" car.
I found the smoke test to be very inconclusive... It's probably how I did it.....

@@zoomzabba452 yea, sounds like how I did it...
I'm just useless.... Lol
@@GarageKei There are always the boost leaks that dont appear until you rip on it or there is considerable heat in the system. the real gremlins.
Plugs should be NGK Dcpr7eix

Garage Kei Thanks Mate...... I’ll give Yahoo Auctions a crack. If nothing comes of it, I might follow you up on that offer.

ISCV?
Tps?
Check compression?
Idle screw set too low?
Are these engines really buildable and reinforceable? For bigger than ~110 HP - like say 200ish?
Yes.
Crank is already forged.
If you put rods, pistons, and a headgasket in it they will take a huge beating.
Over 200hp has been done, yes.
The F6A had an adjustable actuator!? Never seen that before :D
Keen eye you have.
I am looking for spark plug wires, where can I pick those up from?
YAHOO auction or order through your local Suzuki dealer.

Well the fuel pump is likely 20years old. I'd swap it. As with the filter. No one does that...
Also - weird things in this video...
Downpipe?
Something funky going on with that throttlebody..
Yep. You're correct. Downpipe is not Cappuccino. Throttle body is not Cappuccino.
There are at least 2 more things.
Nice video bud
Thank you. A lot more to come. This is barely scratching the surface of what I have planned.
Most definitely gonna subscribe I. Am building my Na Miata
Thanks man. I appreciate it.
More info on Cappuccinos available at www.clubcappo.co.uk
Fuuuu I want one so bad but importing into Australia is so wack
Want one what?
@@GarageKei Suzuki cappuccino there's only 3 for sale here
What is this weirdness you speak of?
Only weird thing I noticed is that it's sitting in your shed and not installed in my ST90 Carry van 😋
It's a guessing game. Will reveal the weirdness in a future video.
