Good videos, I watched your Polar Pattern and then this correction video. Video was easy for me to follow along with in FreeCAD except that I had to go back and recreate my pockets a couple of times as the first time I just did a single extrusion with the holes included in the sketch of the rectangle and the second time with the holes on one sketch and pocket. Then finally I modeled each pocket individually and then I could make the patterns as you did. This will help me to create my own "bud boxes" for electronics enclosures. How tough would it be to parameterize this with the spreadsheet values? I will probably use this technique on a box later this week which will be housing a controller for a hot wire foam cutter I am making. I am thinking of using this (linear pattern) to propagate screw bosses in the box and screw holes in the lid. Can you offer any tips?

Hi Steven, thanks for your feedback. I'm glad that you found the videos useful. I use spreadsheets quite a bit and find that they make my modelling easier - primary because my memory is going (I'm getting old lol). I don't think that it will be too hard for you to parameterise your design using a spreadsheet, but what I have found is that developing a consistent naming convention for your spreadsheet parameters helps significantly. I initially named the parameters after their purpose but I found that at times I'd end up with a parameter with a very long name which made it difficult to remember.
As far as using the linear pattern tool is concerned, you might actually find that the Multitransform tool might be a better fit because you can combine one or more linear/polar patterns to create the desired layout. I don't have a video on that yet, but it is one that I want to get onto in the not too distant future.
I hope that I understood your question and that this helps.
      Have a great day.
