- The 2013 GLK is a compact luxury SUV that a lot of people think is designed specially for women. It's a V6 engine car that has a lot of cool features for lovers of an easy-going car that is not in any way sporty. I reviewed this car in Lagos Nigeria from Tibec Autos just to allow aspiring GLK owners to understand the Pros and Cons of the car they want to buy.
I always watch foreign reviewers but it's really nice to have a home based reviewer... Weldone Boss for the amazing review

Nice video, I’ve had my 2012 GKL350 sense it had 12k miles, it’s up to 125k and there has been ZERO issues. Freaking love how fast it is and how it handles on turns (for a small SUV) throw a chip in it and it’s even better, mine runs at 80 on the temp gauge instead of 90. Dam I love the GLK350

@@mosesgideon1115 it actually made my glk350 run about 10 degrees colder, but if your gonna spend 100 bucks or more on chips you might as well get a tune from a shop. That’s the legit best way

Really cool watching home made review especially with port hole expression (well done). Just an addition, my GLK 350 is a 2014 and in the last of the series. As such, Its got additional factory add-ons like Sport, Manual and Eco mode with steering gear shifter for manual drive (So, it can do Sport mode relatively well and that is speaking from Abuja pov). It is also equipped with a 360 camera, packing and blind spot sensors in and on the side mirrors. Finally, its got a step board and spare tyre pump in the trunk (you know the spare tyre is stored airless). I want to believe this is what we call 'full option' in our parlance here -home. Kinda curious though, I have not seen a similar model with everything I mentioned in addition to what you showed us. I should mention that navigating a bend is solid even at 140kph. Subscribed already and kudos.

I want to buy Either GLK 350 or ML 350.
So he says there is no sport mode near the end. Well there is a button under the stereo, e s m. Economy manual and Sport.. it increase s the revs in each gear before shifting and tightens up the suspension. If you look on the dash you see the green E indicating it’s in economy. I own a 2013 glk but it’s the 250 blurted. 200 hp 369 ft lbs out of a 2.1 litre turbo diesel. Tows 3500 lbs and gets around 7 litres per 100 kms

Lmaooo you are welcome. Yes…it is a very reliable engine. It can travel anywhere as long as you have petrol and a well serviced engine

I disagree with you on this review. I drive a Glk 350 and can do 0 - 60mph in less than 5 seconds. I guess you didn’t push that car hard enough because you had it from a dealer for the shoot but I can tell you the Glk is the best in its range. No one has ever passed by me on the highway save a 2019 c350 some months ago and even at that, I had a poor stabilizer linkage and alignment and didn’t wanna risk it. It’s a bit pricey to maintain though but it will still move you no matter what is wrong with it until you get to your mechanic

I have owned 2 other Mercedes & 2 Jaguars. My 2012 GLK 350 is without a doubt the fastest car I have ever owned. Smooth acceleration & flawless handling, even on icy roads. Great car!!!

I'm only positively gonna assume you actually have some experience in the car's ownership, but aren't just too sure of what you're saying.
It's 0-60 is 7secs bruh, and that's with only one passenger... You load that baby up and it'll probably do same in 9.
The car's specialty isn't in speed, cornering or sporty performance, no... It's instead in it's pure finesse, air-like ride quality, road noise insulation, good milage (for it's class) and that polarizing exterior looks, which I happen to love so don't get me wrong, I like the car, alot actually, i even almost bought it, TWICE but went another way eventually.
You say nothing drives passed you in the highway?, well, I dunno where you've been driving but even a bulky 5.0L V8 Range Rover Sport from way back in 2010 would do it with ease... Much less a Lexus IS 350F. And these are just ordinary everyday cars on the road. Lol. 😎
During the beginning of the global COVID lockdown of 2020, I was in Denver, Colorado, I and a few friends who had nothing to do at the time, decided to mess around a lil bit, so we happened to take a drive down to Stapleton International just for sight seeing (it's an old abandoned airport) but long story short, our escapades quickly morphed into a drag race, good thing we all came from different locations, hence, in our own cars due to the public transport system being shut down for COVID.
With us were 2 Range Sports, a Lexus IS, a Mercedes SLK and guess what... A GLK.
Long story short, the GLK kept coming in last position... Mike was adamant that we had a rerun, so we obliged and yet, the GLK always kept finishing in LAST place. Lol. My (leased) 2016 RR Spot felt like a supercar compared to it, and even Dante's 2010 RR Spot beat the GLK everytime, and with ease.
A Mercedes Benz GLK is not nearly a speed demon by any means. And its platform, engine and aerodynamics sure wasn't built to maximize speed.

NIce vid. GLK is an entry level suv for benz. i find it not as lovely to look at as the other mercs of it's period. However, it's is more lovely than many other entry level SUVs. For the year, i prefer the X3- i like my cars sporty. Consider comparing it to 2013 Lexus RX350

With a much bigger air intake and sporty air filter. A mad after market exhaust tail pipe or a down pipe. The car would be luxury and sporty at the same time. Absolute beast!

It makes me wonder why Mercedes didn't do this from the factory with sport suspension as an AMG model. It would have given the X3M some tough competition.

There's nothing like a slow launch on the glk350 at all. I've driven the 2013 model for years now and i can bodly say the car is fast...a 302 HP car is not slow. Its faster than lexus rx350, c350, c300 and, is250

The car is ugly to me ooo, too boxy and reminds me of the 02- 07 highlander.. that one even has more curves...lol. This 2013 updated one has a lovely interior though.
