Formula(s) to get Stacked Spring Rate Chart Number:
1. Spring Length - Compressed Length = X
2. X times Spring Rate = Y
3. Y divided by Inches Collapsed at Ride Height

1 thing to keep in mind if you yourself weighs 300+ lbs and your wives weigh 300lb + each you might want to have all you powerchubs sit in the jeep when you're calculating yur spring rate. Lesson learned!

Great tutorial! My question is about the 7"-7" travel. Is this the required or ideal setup when you sitting(sagging) on half of travel?

the pre load nut goes all the way down on the threads I don't have a tape that measures right there

raising or lowering the dual rate nut determines how much travel b4 2nd spring kicks in, & u can easily adjust this up or down no need to take apart & revalue, & in this example 150lb spring & 225lb spring r quite diff not same same so clear dual rate, softer bulk yet firmer so u get travel but don't bottom out or u adjust nut up more easy enough, I can see & handle that. There chart & dividing your order make it a 4th grade not algebra math problem.

Hello i have utv 1900kg witch unimog axles . I want make a 4 link with king or profender coliovers 14-16 inch . Front axles with whels are 350kg and rear axles with whels are 325kg .
Front weight are 52% -988kg, rear are 48%-912 kg . What coils rate will be good for front and rear ? thanks for the answer

I have one small question regarding droop.
I habe 10” shocks, and I want that my wheel will travel up 4.65” and down 5.35”.
Does that mean that my droop is 46.5% or 53.5%?

Actually that is your up travel and down travel. Full Droop is when the Axle is furthest from frame until other components start to bind or rub. So while your shocks top out at 5.35 inches of down travel you might not necessarily use that full 5.35 before something else binds up and it could be that your shocks are the limiting factor and you might be able to reach a larger droop with different setup. Does that make sense?

When you divide Y by inches collapsed, do you device by the amount of shaft hidden or the amount of shaft showing?

How do you find the length or shock you need like 12", 14", etc? First timer here... i want my total length to be at 24.5" eye to eye at ride height with 6" up travel and 5" down travel.
