    I would love to see this benchmark run again with the 7900 GRE running its memory at 2425MHz, the same speed as the 7800 XT. This would show how much more performance the 7900 GRE chip gives over the 7800 XT.

      @@Bilal.Hussain.Shaikhi mean the 7900 gre literally has same price to performance as the 7800 xt..? You're paying 10% more dollars, $500 -> $550, for 10% more frames or even more. Should be a no brainer to get the 7900 GRE if you can get it at msrp. If it is outta budget than just get the 7800 XT or below. I've heard online that the 7900 GRE should be getting a "bug" fix regarding the overclocking issues, but who knows for sure if it'll get it. If it does get the fix, an overclocked 7900 GRE should be way better.

    It's maybe only a 50 dollar difference, but on average the 7800xt also consumes 25-50watts less power, thus less heat generated, and due to it being available in a duo fan setup instead of triple fan setup it's also much more SFF friendly.
    So I think both cards are good options, 1 just costs a tiny bit more and if you're building in a tower then it's a no-brainer, but the 7800xt has many other niche benefits to offer against the performance loss.

    Not worth it. Just think about it, if you can't get the resolution and fps with 7700xt, u can't get it with 7900gre too. Switch off or down one or two graphic settings that don't do much to the performance is a better option.

    I Just watched this vid and then bought a 7800 Xt because of it. Then 7900 GRE was 530 but the 7800 Xt was 470 and being they are so close i decided to just get the 7800 XT saving 60 bucks even though the new drivers are out and the GRE would have been much faster but I didn't want to overclock anyway for a few more FPS. I mean if we are talking 20 to 25 FPS then maybe but we aren't.

  • @3katd

    7900 gre has no point considering that its $60 more than the rx7800xt as of early August 2024 and only gets 2-10 more fps with more power consumption to get those fps.

  • @MrHeHim
    @MrHeHim 8 месяцев назад +1

    10% more for better efficiency and about 2-10% more performance, might want to see OC vs OC. The GRE could be a sleeper if they don't neuter it like they did to the 6800 non-XT
    But the 7800 XT catch the GRE if you compare OC vs OC right now idk

Meteor Lake is so close to deceiving 8700G, that it fells embarassing, how deceptive products almost meets best APU ever on desktop...

I think u may wanna use Ray tracing also in an game rendering scenario, so I only see Nvidia for u :( . But without that the 7800xt or 7900gre should have better render performance in general.
