When they first released this, I had a friend say this should come with a warning label because if anything could ever cause a completely spontaneous pregnancy, it's Austin singing this song.
Pantie droppers name is Austin Brown. He was singing to his girlfriend, who was in the room. Austin reminds me of the bad boys my mama warned me about way back in the 60's. Lol
I was one of those bad boys in the 70"s lol. I'm 62 now but played guitar and sang back then and really had the bad boy thing down so the women who were girls then, who I went to high school with have told me haha. To quote my girl friend from then saying a few years ago "Yeah you had that whole bad boy thing going on, I jumped into that wayyyy to fast!" 😂😂. I'm too old top be a bad boy but I still play guitar and sing.
Love the reaction ! The non-lead singers are all on the screens behind because this was during the pandemic, and were recording their individual parts from their homes. Austin Brown should be a super-star ! LOL
Britt the vocal ranges of these 5 gentlemen is second to none and the best a capella group out there no song or genre is out of their reach pure vocals except when they collaborate with other artists or groups sometimes. Great reaction girl 👍
also pointing out but HF are good friends with Voiceplay (who HF won against) and often help each other out with production so personally you can't explore one group without exploring the other group as well. Sometimes Austin and others will contact established HF reactors to say thanks and those reactions are priceless. If you have a demo tape send it in to both groups
I love this group. They will always have a special place in my heart. Their Sea Shanty Medley brought my grandson (8 years old at the time) out of his shell. He has autism and we would listen and sing to them in the car all the time.
Two covers of Home Free that you need to check out are "Boys 2 Men - End of The Road" and their mashup of "Thinking Out Loud" and "Let's Get It On" (Ed Sheeran and Marvin Gaye).
Their harmonies are always wonderful. They aren't afraid to be a little goofy and fun too. Their Butts Medley always gets people laughing. It's a pretty deep rabbit hole, but an awesome one.
Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. Drummers have often commented on just how realistic his sound is. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
Plain to see...you need more Home Free in your life! They have an extensive catalog of songs ranging from country, pop, fun mash-ups, R&B. They are all amazing vocally in their own right, but lead on this song was Austin Brown.
Austin is an amazing, talented singer along with the other members of Home Free. Word is... That when he was recording this song, he had his wife in the studio so the whole time when he was singing this song he was singing it to her. I think that is why we all can feel the passion and love that was put into this song from him.
Austin has also done solo projects (all the HF guys do by the way) and his version of Bring Him Home from Les Miserables is amazing. Austin and Tim Foust, the bass have done stuff side work too with instruments, and gospel Rob Lundquist and Austin did opera, yes, opera and sang Nessum Dorma together. Adam Rupp their beatboxer is worth the reaction of his drum solo on it's own for sure and you realize how much of the instrumentation he can do vocally. Don't forget our guy, quiet Adam Chance who has an amazing voice with a great range, and I think if you react to HF's version of Born in the USA, you'll see just what Chance can do. They are 5 creative guys who are friends without egos and who just enjoy making music in all forms.
Yes! Home Free can sing (sang) any genre. Austin was in the studio singing to his lady on the other side of the glass for Valentines Day. The other four HF men were in their home studios set up to record during the pandemic. This rabbit hole is deep. I recommend you react to “End of the road”, “How great Thou art,” “Hillbilly Bone”, “When will I be loved?”, “The Butts Medley” and “Brothers in Arms”.
Home Free are game changers. The talent amongst the 5 of them is almost supernatural. Once I discovered Home Free, they've ruined me for other music. They satisfy a craving I didn't even know I had. Loved your reaction!
I hope this performance reactivates your interest in HF! This was HF reaction #3. #1 was "Man of Constant Sorrow" ( ruclips.net/video/m_k-M1wbIns/видео.html 134K views and 7K likes) and #2 was "The Gambler" ( ruclips.net/video/9FB4pX1IKVQ/видео.html 10K views and 1K likes).
Austin killed this. I am sure if Percy Sledge was here, he would be so proud. The background harmonies are so very awesome as is the vocal percussion! Love your reaction!
This is the first time I’m listening to Home Free. I’ve never been a big fan of a cappella singing, I can appreciate the talent but it just wasn’t my thing. I’m a convert now! I love the original but agree Austin took this to CHURCH (& I don’t even go, lol). Thanks for opening my eyes or rather, ears. 🙏😄
I saw them in Spokane, WA. in Sept. Austin kills it on this song and with the backup of the others, I think this is pretty much perfection! I have always loved Percy’s version but this is my new favorite. ❤️
There are no words for these 5 gentleman.. there are no words for how these men can sing.. every cover every original song is beyond this world and they have hundreds of them can't wait to see your reaction to all of them..🏡🆓🏡🍟
Hey Britt, This was an amazing reaction because Home Free is the "Bomb!!!" But you must also consider reacting to their cover of Boyz II Men "End Of The Road" you'll be glad you did too!!!
I saw Percy Sledge do this in a club in 1972. Have heard several covers since then, but this is by far the best I have heard. Can't top the original, but getting close.
Austin Brown (on lead) has a degree in musical theater & performance. Rob Lundquiest (sweet voice with beard & glasses) trained as an opera singer before moving to acapella. Tim Foust (bass) is an accomplished songwriter and has sung with a multitude groups. Adam Rupp is considered a master of vocal percussion, along with playing multiple instruments. Adam Chance (baritone with beard and beanie) aka Chance is currently working on his first solo album. These guys caught lightning in a bottle when they got together. They are all top drawer musicians in their own rights, and they make it happen as a group. Welcome to the Home Fries!
Another great reaction! Interestingly, this was one of the many, many videos the guys made during the pandemic. The parts were recorded by them in separate locations, and sent to the engineers for mixing. Obviously, the videos were recorded separately as well. They were incredibly creative with their videos during the pandemic. One of my favorites that they did was an original of theirs entitled Quarantine. It's a parody of Billy Joel's song Honesty, and it's hilarious and brilliant! Treat yourself to watching it! Another great fact about this video you just reacted to - Austin's lady love was in the studio with him when he filmed this. That explains all the loving looks and the extra emotion - he adores her!! ❤
I know you did and seemed to enjoy Pasty Cline's "Crazy" they did an amazing cover of it. They also did Boyz II Men "End of the Road" it's been argued who is better?
His name is Austin Brown. Watch/listen to him sing Unchained Melody. Gorgeous. I loved watching your face going from puppy dog eyes to almost in pain! Lol! Your great!

Great reaction to Austin's sultry looks on this! 😂 you are fun to watch and these guys are too. Lots of their videos make us laugh at their craziness. I hope you'll do more Home Free, please
Austin was looking at his girlfriend who was onstage with him, but off camera. This was done during quarantine, and everyone was in different locations. This song came out when I was still a young teenager, and I’m in my 70’s now.
The reason the guys are in squares in the background is because this was recorded during quarantine - the guys weren't even in the same room. And Austin (the lead singer) was singing to his girlfriend - she was positioned where he could see her.
Hi Britt! Great reactions. Home Free does a song with Kenny Rogers. Kenny Rogers - Children, Go Where I Send Thee (feat. Home Free). You'll like this one and listen to the end because Kenny tells the story of how he and Home Free met. Have a great day!
@@rcinsley wow! Please thank your daughter for her choice of being a teacher. In this crazy world we need good teachers to help children know how to react to good vs evil.

And that’s not even counting his “Come to Jesus Look” he keeps giving to the Camera. (Actually, his Girlfriend, the Love his Life, & now his Wife, was renting the Camera!)

That was Austin Brown and he hit those HIGH notes sitting Down! He is amazing. And their videos display just how much fun they have together.
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. His lady is out of sight, behind the camera. Think he's singing this to her? That might explain the side glances. They do covers, as well as their own songs. Listen to "How Great Thou Art", "The Butts Remix", then try their cover of "Crazy". Austin Brown is the lead tenor (in this song). Rob Lundquist(glasses and beard) is second tenor. Adam Chance (beard/moustache) is the baritone, and covers bass (when Tim Foust is singing high). Tim Foust (grey streak in hair) is the bass. He has a 5 octave range (Listen to him and Austin do "My Maria". Last, but definitely not least is Adam Rupp, one of the group founders and a beatboxer without equal.
if you haven't seen it yet i think you'd get a huge kick out of "Blue ain't your color" cover by home free. they really did that one justice. Another one i can give a full mark on is their cover of John Mayer's "In the Blood". really touches the heart on that one.
I always loved the late Percy Sledge's 1966 original (not so much Michael Bolton's cover). The song's writer had just had a bad break-up and the original line was "I gave you everything I had". Austin's lady Amberly was in the studio (that's who he's looking at) and he sings "I'll give you everything I've got". A subtle but significant change. This was done during Covid, hence the TV screens.

It may have already been mentioned in earlier comments, but Austin was looking at his girlfriend (who came to the taping). His expressions, aimed at her, just made this even more heart melting!😍
He’s Austin Brown. He’s so good. He studied musical theater so he knows how to use that camera. Ha! This was done during Covid so I thought the use of the TV’s was clever too. Good reaction! Home Free is so good. Try Helplessly Hoping, Brothers in Arms, In the Blood, Die a Happy Man, Giving Up on You (with Texas Hill). 😄
AUSTIN BROWN is your lead vocalist in this video! He is trained in musical theater and is a high tenor, he sings like an angel 😇 and he was singing to his girlfriend who was in the studio at the time he was recording this video.
According to [website YT won't allow me to mention] there are now 223 recognized versions of this song! Until this version by HF, Michael Bolton's 1991 performance was considered the best cover. 30 years later -- HF resets the bar a notch higher!
@@susantang287 Can't stand the Bolton version. He's so bloody miserable and sings as if he hates every woman on the planet. It's ludicrously over-dramatic and over-sung. Austin conveys the joy of love and how you can accept the risks gladly.
Lead vocalist here is AUSTIN BROWN ❤, who has his own channel. With originals & covers from Etta James, Otis Redding, Brooks & Dunn, Al Greene, Stevie Wonder & many more. Please check out a diff side of Austin’s voice on his channel “BRING HIM HOME “ Thanks for taking the time for HF
He has his girlfriend stand next to the camera when it was recorded so he could sing it to her. Those eyes he’s making are for her. PS. They filmed this during the COVID Quarantine so they were all in different places which is why you have the screens.

So happy you did this one! I've been waiting for this to drop
Love your reaction,priceless ❤
That side-eye!!!! 😏
According to [website YT won't allow me to mention] there are now 223 recognized versions of this song! Until this version by HF, Michael Bolton's 1991 performance was considered the best cover. 30 years later -- HF resets the bar a notch higher!
Michael Bolton’s cover in my books is still the BEST. The maturity and experience factor is missing in this one.
@@susantang287 Can't stand the Bolton version. He's so bloody miserable and sings as if he hates every woman on the planet. It's ludicrously over-dramatic and over-sung. Austin conveys the joy of love and how you can accept the risks gladly.
@@patriciamcl54 Still a boy. Give him a few more years of experience and I’m sure he’ll improve. Sorry.
Lead vocalist here is AUSTIN BROWN ❤,
who has his own channel.
With originals & covers from Etta James, Otis Redding, Brooks & Dunn,
Al Greene, Stevie Wonder & many more.
Please check out a diff side of Austin’s voice on his channel
“BRING HIM HOME “
Thanks for taking the time for HF
Ya gotta give Helplessly Hoping a listen hun.
He has his girlfriend stand next to the camera when it was recorded so he could sing it to her. Those eyes he’s making are for her.
PS. They filmed this during the COVID Quarantine so they were all in different places which is why you have the screens.
I love your reactions, l've watched this clip and others of his so many times. So fun seeing others see him the first time.
Aw she so pretty! 😳 The cheese is sooo strong! I love it. MadBrie too rich and dreamy!
I have been waiting for this one!!! :) Be well, dear lady.
Austin Brown and I LOVE HIM
I LOVE Home Free!
