The songs in the first and second bass solo were changed due to complications with one of the composers. A lot of other songs were changed too, just look up * Bolin's changed music *.
Jade once aspired to be the best bassist in the world. Someone told her "Yeah, in your DREAMS!" So she continued playing. In her dreams. And invented the 5-arm Bass-Keytar. And built a robot to play the wicked 5-arm Bass-Keytar.
I believe at one point the comic. Viriska even stated that the Suburb might actually have two primary goals. 1 create a new universe. 2 setting up a chain of events that let their players grow and develop into the best they can be.
I recommend checking out optimisticDuelist's youtube channel for more on that subject. He does some very interesting deep dives into various aspects (no pun intended) of Homestuck's lore.
“The Beginning of Something really Excellent” you got that right. If I’m not mistaken, the flash this song plays in is Prospit’s first appearance, and maybe even the Medium’s, too. Once you see Prospit and then Skaia, you know you’re in for a truly special ride.

Someone remind Mr. Nitram that Jade was not the one who caused you guys to be denied the reward. John was going to prototype something very weak to make him easier to beat but Vriska put him to sleep. Jade wasn't available, she was trying to craft her totem so Becquerel prototyped himself. She's the one responsible.
Gamzee is also one of the reasons because he put a doll in johns prospit bedroom, making the unconscious wall markings, making his dad think he was obsessed with harlequins and causing him to prototype the harlequin, causing the BQ to be obsessed with clown clothes making jack rise up

I love it when people try to explain what Homestuck is! It's a game! Except not at all! Except when it's actually a game (a la Alterniabound)! But it's also a novel! And sort of a movie, too? But mostly a webcomic, sort of! And don't even get me started on genre!
