I feel like some people rewrite Kanaya as some super elegant and sophisticated girl. Really, she actually seems a bit clingy and enjoyed joking around with/play insulting her friends. Still one of my favorite characters!
1 year later but it all boils down to... She is still a Troll, no matter how Elegant and Sophisticated she may behave. Shes just a very well spoken troll.
She was probably the most even-tempered of all the trolls honestly, she definitely has emotional depth and intelligence, also, she did tend to radiate elegance and sophistication in her conversations... But I always felt she was pretty awkward based on how many of her conversations went with others, she often talked in a way which was roundabout and also sort of esoteric even to say simple things. I'd actually pin her as someone who is highly introspective and very in tune with their own internal world while also struggling to externalise that in a way to others in which they understand quite a lot.
I remember I saw this artwork before I started reading Homestuck and I had a very different impression on who Kanaya was going to be lol Man back then the trolls seemed like such a mysterious group of characters, but now I know so much about them.
You almost got it right if we take the fact that Kanaya tried her best to help people around her (was some sort of influencer) and her deepest passion to (wordplay incoming) - fashion.@@evo683
Homestuck actually got me caring about my Zodiac Sign. And may I say, I'm glad with the troll I have received. (Even though I connect much more with Terezi, Kanaya is my second favourite. Hands down.)
I have Feferi, who I really like. I'm just sad that she ended up dying and becoming sort of forgotten by the story, and Meenah I didn't like nearly as much.
