Royal Oak Juneteenth Event 2024

Join us for Royal Oak's 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration at the breathtaking Centennial Commons! This family-friendly event is set to take place on Wednesday, June 19, from 3-8pm.
Juneteenth holds immense significance as it commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. It marks the day when news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, two years after it was enacted. It serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for equality and justice, as well as a celebration of freedom and resilience.
Our celebration will feature a Freedom Walk to honor this historic occasion, along with an array of family-friendly activities, groove to soulful music, games, witness captivating performances, food trucks offering delicious cuisines and delectable treats, explore the offerings of local vendors, giveaways, and much more!
