Aside from how well you play tennis, the way you explain how to play is exceptional - you’re an outstanding communicator

Thank you, that means a lot, my main aim with these videos is to try and share the knowledge I’ve been lucky enough to receive from great coaches and other players. If it helps then that’s great 💪

So many valuable information in such a short time that I had to pause and go back several times, great video for us struggling with finding the groove in a session!!!

You hit your forehand more closed than most pros on the tour. It's how I hit mine and what I coach. It takes more footwork, but it has better weight transfer and allows you to hit straight down the line with more accuracy. I explain it like throwing a straight punch. You've earned a new subscriber. Keep it going!

Yeah I really like that style, you know your stuff! I really started doing after watching Djokovic practice in 2022. His footwork was bang on. You’re right more effort to get on the left leg but better weight transfer 💪

Good to see relaxation is the bedrock but as you start hitting your body seems rather muscle bound and not kinetically fluid and loose. Your dismissal of the kinetic chain is a bit of a worry. It could be appearances being deceptive but the one thing we know from Federer and those that strike like him is that its often not the norm even at a professional level. An extended arm on contact does help to give that fluidity. Your swing seems very compact. Looks very consistent but also very restricted and the emphasis seems to be on brushing up just before contact as opposed to hitting through. It makes the shoulders look very tight and suggests arming the ball though i find that hard to believe at this level. Consistency is great but this looks positively robotic and stiff. Im sure its not but i have seen so many players play looking like this when it actually is. Thx for the video.

@@seanplaystenis What was the reason that made you change your swing? As your technique before was fedex like and looked pretty solid.
I've also noticed that your follow through has changed as it looks shorter and more extreme in terms of the upward swing you take.
I can only assume you're trying to improve consistency and spin and maybe timing and maybe trying to simplify things a,little.
Are you preffering your new technique over the old one?

So nicely done, and so uniquely different to hear it from a touring pro. How about an in-depth on all aspects of your serve? You mentioned the toss to the right of your body on all serves. Is that 12:30 or 1 o'clock? How do you execute the kick from the right side? And how far inside the baseline should your ball toss land (for illustrated purposes) - again, on all serves? The "in-depth" would be especially helpful from a touring pro. Thanks so much!

@seanplaystenis Thank you, Sean. Anxiously awaiting, though mindful of your professional schedule. There’s nothing like that out there. Best wishes from FL.

@@seanplaystenis I like your one hand backhand swing. I use the exact same swing on the backhand you do for your topspin drives I also use it for both the topspin and also use it for doing the big flat slice drive. So I use the low to high swing it for doing both the drives. I use it also on all the dirty low or super low balls down near the ground. As I use the flat backhand grip which puts the racquet up all on its edge with the butt facing at the incoming ball and then I just lead with the bottom edge of the racquet into the ball to pronate it and finish high just like the normal topspin drive to disguise the swing that's how I also get the extra arm extension into the ball with that grip with the racquet's edge to get the extra reach and that allows you to drive the slices at the same speeds that you drive your normal big flat groundstrokes with. I'm curious as to how many players out there are doing what I had done to my backhand slice and turned it into weak short sitter slice into a big penetrating drive.

Your backhand has less body action, mostly shoulder horizontal abduction compared to the familiar ones, such as stan, personal preference?
