Jackie is a very sweet girl and excellent guard dog (remember with the coyotes!). She noticed Little Princess Eleanor is always by herself so decided to keep her company and protect her! That is so awsome to see them very close to each other like that! ❤❤❤

You are getting pretty close to perfect! Dunbar can have his cows whose babies can go to Big Joe or Hoss for breeding, Big Joe's daughters can go to Dunbar or Hoss for breeding and Hoss' daughters can hopefully go to either Big Joe or Dunbar for breeding. I know that since Dunbar and Big Joe have been around awhile, if they have already crossbred daughters to the other might be getting close but they could definitely be Hoss' gals. You may have to introduce another bull at some time soon but we'd sure hate to see either Big Joe or Dunbar leave anytime soon!
That close up of you, Dusty, there's little gray in that beard. Love watching you and Marrisa work together to keep the bison going and growing. Keeping them safe from each other. And you are absolutely right, your wife is the best ranch hand you will every have. 🤩❤

I've been patching my gloves using scraps of leather, rubber cement and stitching with a curved needle, with great success and the patches last a long time. 💖🌞🌵😷

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE FARMING !! As a 55yrr old some what retired resident of Boston, Massachusetts I would love to come volunteer for a week or two some time on the ranch ,especially doing some fence and barbwire . Since i have almost 30yrs of doing every type of fence, guardrail ,bridge fencing, all types of prison fence, barbwire 100s of thousands of feet of razor wire,and bridge rails, and welding any type of gates and 70'-80' sliding cantilevered gates (electric and non). I WOULD LOVE TO COME VISIT AND HELP OUT❤

Great video Dusty and Marisa, brings back memories of when my husband and I had to tear out 6 acres of old barbed wire and rusty T-posts on the hobby farm we bought. Cattle used to roam that land and we had so much barbed wire and hot line to take down. Then I spent my entire summer vacation running T-posts for 5 acres and the braided nylon w/ 6 strand hotwire so we could put our horses on the upper and lower pasture. I also built a 60' dia round pen for training. I am older now and know I could no longer keep up the pace of those days. But I appreciate what you both do together as a couple. It takes a special breed, and I am proud to say that I am a member of that, as I see it in both of you.
I too have small hands, so, I usually have to order my gloves. But here's a hack that I learned one winter, that even works in 110f summers... Get you pair of acrylic (machine washable) knit gloves and slip your hands (knit gloves and all) into the bigger gloves. It takes up that space and you'll be surprised of the dexterity you'll get. In winter your hands will be warmer, but in summer the knit gloves absorb sweat and your hands will stay dry in the larger leather gloves. The knit gloves underneath also add a cushion so sharp edges feel blunt.💖🌞🌵😷

I grew up about 10 miles from Wind Cave National Park. At that time their buffalo herd was as bit as Custer State Park. I learned a hugh respect for buffalo . as I was able to see the power and distruction of a buffalo herd. We now life about 30 miles from Custer State Park. One year we were riding the wild life loop in the park and came across a very large herd of buffalo so pulled off the road as they were walking down the roqd. My husband had his window down when a large bull buffalo came to his window, stucsk his head in the window and then snorted. A big shook. You all have taken on a large job and doing a good job.

It’s why my grandpa road the fence, first thing and last thing, every day.
Turn the left hand glove inside out; it becomes a right hand glove. Not a great fit sometimes. This old town woman that used to be a young farm girl did this often as a kid. You shove your thumb up inside a finger till to get all the way to the tip. Then, using a different finger from the outside, you pinch the tip of the glove between your finger tips. Pinching the glove tip tightly with the two fingers, you push the outside of the finger inside, and turn the glove inside out. I had to help fix my fair share of barbed wire fences as a kid. Between beef cows, horses, pigs, and goats, something always got broken.
Time to rent land somewhere else and put 1 of the big boys there with some ladies❤❤

Good imitation of Gump, Dusty. I like working hard like your wife does. I tell my grandsons a little hard work never hurt anyone. It's always satisfying after the work is done, that you can stand back and appreciate knowing that hard work will pay off later, plus muscles may get sore and might even get cuts, scrapes, bruises, but it just shows you had been productive
